Thanks, I'm glad people like my weed ;)
DF,

Your grow is looking great bud keep it up
Will do, but first...:bong:

Thanks everyone for your comments, I really appreciate it. It's very cool that my grow has so many followers. I know that there are other grows on this site that do not get as many views and comments but deserve it just as much. I think everyone is deserving of everybody's time here and I'm glad you spent some of yours on my grow. Let us burn our passion together :smokin:
Edit: I just noticed that my rating went down to 4 stars. At first I was upset, but when I looked at the details I saw that the votes now rest at 4.20 stars, I think I prefer it this way ;)

Nice buddage.. :)
I think so too :grinjoint:
damn man nice buds under the cfls! mad p's man, i love following grows, i could sit here all day haha
Thanks for the respect, I love browsing journals too
Doing a super job here! Buds look seriously good :yummy:
Thanks man, that means a lot from a fellow CFL grower
DFW those buds are looking great. I'm assuming that particular strain has the reddish hues in the pistils?
Looking amazing anyhow.

Now that you bring it up, the plants are kind of peculiar. Elsie, the older plant (by 5 days) has nearly all white pistils. Marie's pistils all turn amber much more quickly than elsie's for some reason. The rate of bud growth is relatively equal on both plants however. Good question. I wish I was a marijuana connoisseur and knew everything ;) I wana make my own strain.
Kick Ass!!! You got me wanting to do an indoor job, to keep me busy in the winter. What do you think those bulbs are doing to your electric bill? Do you think the spike would be noticable? I would love to do a poor mans grow box in the winter with some floresents like that. Props yo!
I'm glad I can be an inspiration :smokin:
My 5 CFL's combined (4 100w equiv & 1 125w equiv) use 122 watts. I'm paying 15 cents a Kw/H. With a few extra watts for the fans & filter I'm paying roughly $8 a month for the electricity this grow is using during the 12/12 light schedule.
Just a little hint (this is for anyone considering using CFL's) the 23w 100w equiv bulbs (walmart has them for $1.56 ea) are the most efficient out of all the CFL's. Here's some data for Longstar CFL bulbs. From what I have seen all CFL manufacturers bulbs have close to the same specs.

awesome breakdown, I'm in the market for some new CFL's to aide in flowering, and that helps me decide what wattage to go for.

sweet crop! enjoy them.
:thankyou:

No problem. You just have to divide the lumens by the watts used. The most efficient lights I found gave off 69 lumen per watt.

Hello everyone, does anyone know the cause of this? It started out as just spots but now it has progressed to this. I'm going to take off the leaf unless someone advises not to. I'll be looking through the FAQ for the cause... also it is just this one leaf that's affected from what I can tell. It scares me though because this came about in just a few days.
Edit: my guess is that my PH is messed up & the leaf got lockout. I'll be flushing tomorrow then  I'm still open for other theories though so don't hesitate.
Also what do yall think about using tap water that's gone threw a brita filter to flush?

I use a small plastic cabinet from Suncast with 4 home depot bought 150w CFL's which are rated 2700 lumens each and 1 home depot bought 300w CFL which is rated at 4200 lumens. All on individual sockets hanging vetically, a 250cfm inline fan for exhaust blowing through a Carbonaire filter. 0 smell-10 plants 3.0z every 85 days
Here is a link to the enclosure-check it out. I've got $160 in the box itself and $120 in the ducting and filter.
