Pookss's 2x4x6 High Brix Garden FT, Smurfzilla, Dark Plasma #9 & Cereal Milk

Hey gang.

Had to water the ladies last night as today I’m working two jobs. 6am-1am is my day, no time to water in there. So about half were ready for water last night, maybe this morning, and the rest maybe tonight. But sometimes life gets in the way of perfection.

I figure the ones falling behind will be culled anyways. The dark plasmas are showing preflowers , the others should be tonight when I get home or tomorrow.

I’m going to be doing some light defoliation tomorrow when I wake up ,than hitting them with destress before lights on.

Itching at the bit to get them transplanted. I know doc usually transplants and flips, I’m going to transplant, train for a week, than flip.

Had a really rough night last night.... sorry for no pictures. They will happen later tonight, the girls just woke up and got a brixx spray. ill take pictures in 3-4 hours.

some smurfzilla are finally showing sex, just waiting on a few more to finally choose my winner. Also need mroe transplant drench anyways so thats getting ordered tonight.

Life’s been crazy. Sorry for missed updates and what not.

Finally found out the sex on the ladies. 10/10 again. Second grow in a row with no males.

The tent now holds only three ladies! 1x cereal milk. 1x dark plasma #9. 1x smurfzilla.

It was hard culling all the smurfzillas. It came down to growth structure and root development. The winning smurfzilla had beautiful roots.

No pictures were taken during transplant.

They were watered with a strong dose of transplant at 30ml per gallon of water. They’ve looked hungry for the past few weeks and noticed some lower fan leaves being cannabailized.

Here they are right after transplant, so mind the droop. I’ll post a picture of them all perky after lights on today.

Looking good Pooks! Are you going to train them? When will you flip? I'd trim the lower leafs, especially anything dead or dying or hitting the soil like that one on the right.

:passitleft:

I’m shooting for a week of training and settling into new homes before flip.

After this picture was taken I did some very light cleaning of the bottoms. Nothing’s touching the medium anymore and anything dead and dry was picked off.

Getting tomato cages tomorrow, and starting lst with the cages. It going crazy with the training, letting them run how they want for the most part. Topped once and some lst and tomato cages should suffice. I’m not worried at all about the branches being able to hold up the heavy buds. The kit has produced some super strong main stalks and side branching.

I’ll try and do a big picture update later! Things are finally fun!

Edit: forgot to note, I’ll be wrapping he fabric pots in plastic wrap. Recommendations to not run fabrics convinced me to make them breathe less by wrapping them.

Here they are, three hours after lights on, and roughly 24 hours after the transplant. They seem to be way happier with the leg room and the heavy feeding. The cereal milk still had some weird taco’ing going on, despite the canopy temps not even above 78.

Far left is cereal milk. Middle is dark plasma. And right is smurfzilla.

These poor ladies will most likely be going in the trash. Only have one person that’s interested in taking a few. If only I had an outdoor spot :(

Please drop any comments or concerns! Hoping the discoloration goes away with transplant and heavier feeding.

The color will definitely improve. :thumb:

You might want to be ready with some Snake Oil for the Cereal Milk. That has the look of a Mag-hungry hydro strain.

Pooks, lets see what @Graytail says about SO for the other 2 plants, I'm guessing he'll say just the 1 but also thinking it won't hurt the other 2. He did say be ready with it so am thinking you will wait to spray until a couple weeks post flip.

What solution are you using for brix and how much? I.e for those 3 plants I would mix up 4ml of brix in 4oz of water and would probably have about 1 oz leftover.

Too much or too strong brix can harm your roots.

I think your plants are looking very good.....soon to be looking great!

With all ten plants I was doing like 6-8oz of water at a ratio of 1oz-1ml. I’ll try and tone it down going forward with the three ladies and spray less.

So far with the kit I’ve noticed amazing growth but in my environment they seem to always be a little sad. It’s also the first grow in this new living situation.

I’m excited to get the cages today and start some light lst. About a week of tucking branches in the cages and I’ll be settting them to flower.

Next watering is far away, they still seem hungry for calcium, should I skip plain watering in favor of a growth ionic drench?

I'm not a good diagnostician, so take my suggestions as just that. :)

You mentioned the tacoing on Cereal Milk and I took a good look and I think it's more than heat. Usually, when I get one like that it's heat, not nutrients. But in your case - dunno - looks like an early Mag def, and with a name like that, I'm guessing it might be a salt-lover, so ... Snake Oil for her.

Dark Plasma looks great! There's a glow they take on in the upper fans when they love their situation. So I don't see DP needing Snake Oil. But Smurfzilla maybe - don't see it hurting.

So, 2 out of 3 could use some. Keep in mind you'd be going off schedule, but you seem to be someone who's comfortable on his own path.

I feel confident with your judgement of needing some snake oil for the cereal milk. I’m not 100% sure on her linage but she deff has cookies in her.

The dark plasma seems to love everything I’ve thrown at her. She’s got growth nodes everywhere!

What would you feed them knowing they just got a heavy transplant drench?? 30ml per gallon water used. Schedule calls for plain water. Just worried they maybe under fed.

I know what you're seeing, and it usually goes away with an upcan. You should see all of them start to glow now. For me, a fresh upcan is always a wait-and-see period. Sometimes it's astonishing, sometimes there's a lag, but they always improve dramatically.

Just go with straight water next time, but watch their reaction to the new soil - that says a lot. I expect Cereal Milk to improve anyway, but if you can get ahead of any deficiency that's always a good thing. :)

They'll be ready for a nice shot of N after that, and then it's on! :slide:

Went to buy tomato cages at Home Depot yesterday, thirty minutes of waiting for hem to search for hem with no luck. Really hate my local Home Depot, second time I’ve seen an item online, says they have it, just to find out they don’t.

So I’m ditching that idea this go around. They were instead lst’Ed last night. Got every main branch tied down a bit to spread the girls out. Going to let them grow into their new shapes for a few days, than I’ll be flipping to flower.

Did some light defoliation to let some of the lower nodes soak light. I’ll do a final cut on flip and a week into flowering. After that I’ll be leaving them alone after that.

Look to the new growth for improvement, the old yellow leaves will not recover. I reckon the upcan will have them cranking soon. Takes at least a week.

The yellowing looks to me to be a mg def. (interveinal yellowing). My OG plant is very similar, and I learned that when the plant gets to the point where it is drinking every 1-2 days, while still in the 1 gal pots, I need to double or even triple the drench frequently, NOT strength. Example I will do TP-TP-H2O-GE-GE-H2O and repeat. In reality the plant is too big for the pot, so we compensate with the adjusted schedule, till we upcan, which should take place in a week or two. Note that not all strains require this, some maybe more aggressive.

The beauty of running the same strains over and over, is you learn these particularities about them through trial and error.

I tend to get lazy with my OG, and feed it the same as the others, and it never reaches the quality I’ve seen it produce in the past. One grow I nailed the feeding schedule with the Og, no early mg def., it cranked through each cycle of its growth, and those buds were relished by many of my friends. I can still remember that OG taste! Last couple of runs it’s been less than stellar.

Here’s a pic of that OG when I nailed it close to harvest.

Seriously gorgeous stuff.

This is an all new system for me so if I have some set backs that’s ok. Next run will be a lot smoother.

I remember you telling me about the back to back feedings. I’ll try that next run.

I currently don’t have a mother/clone area, debating getting a small 2x2 to keep this dark plasma. I’m in love with how she vegged, let’s hope flower is just a vigorous.

The girls will be left alone pretty much till flower so I’m expecting the new growth to really rebound.

I’m due for a brix spray today after work.
