Hey Pooks! So I think you brixed way to heavy. Hopefully they'll be fine but too much brix can burn the roots which will show up in burnt leaves. You're doing the right thing following the directions! That is what doc wants all new brixxers to do so that's good. I guess the instructions can get a little confusing and there is a lot to remember. I did suggest 3oz of water with 3ml of brix but it was a few pages back. Next brix, in 7-10 days or even 14 days you should do about this much, probably a little more because the plants will be bigger so say 4oz of water with 4ml of brix.
Again, I hope the heavy brix does not affect your plants but I had to say something because brix burn is real. It may be worse to have a solution that is too strong than too much of a regular solution.
Your girls are looking really good!
No not too strong, too much. Shouldbe only been 3oz with 3ml for all,of,your plants, possibly with some leftover. I'm thinking a too strong solution would've been worse and hope that too much is not gonna hurt your plants.
Hi Pookss,Oh, shouldn’t matter as long as the ratios were the same.
They look killer right now!
Hi Pookss,
Hey bud the ratio you used was not correct and actual at 1/6 the full strength. This is good news if you over applied, and if you were shaking droplets off the leaves, that’s too much.
You are correct on the 32:1 ratio for brix, but when you do the math:
16oz of water = 3 tsp of Brix (same as 1 tablespoon) A tablespoon is 1/2 oz
So 16 to 1/2 is the same ratio as 32 to 1
Get it?
It should be applied as a light mist to the undersides of the leaves. (No heavy drops should form)
This stuff is easy to screw up, I like to use a “conversion” app in my phone to help with ratios, especially when mixing the imperial and metric system together.
I think you dodged a bullet on this one!
I’ll have to double check when I get home but I swore I did the math multiple times. Regardless the plants look the healthiest they been all grow.
I’ll look at my math after work and see where I messed up.
I’ll be sure to double and triple check my measurements.
That's when my math is at it's worstHow accurate my math is depends on what I’m toking on and how much. But I was straight as an arrow when I responded to your post this morning.

I think half the problem with learning the kit is almost everyone is stoned! It has to increase the learning curve!
Yep the kit is forgivingRegardless of learning curve and mixed up numbers, the gardens super happy. Got a second humidifier in the tent as well and that’s helping a lot.
I’ll post pictures on Sunday.

So, I filled the pot part way with soil...put down about a teaspoon of Roots! around the pot....then filled the soil to the top, removed the pot, dusted the hole with Roots!, Scored the roots on the plant....planted it.....watered with Transplant 1/2 in two gallons of water, one gallon to each plant.
They had their first 11/13 photoperiod last night. We're blooming...no extended veg time needed as there are plenty of roots already and I'm in "small" containers.
Hi Pookss,
I copied this out of the Darkscotia apprentices Doc Bud journal. It shows the size of the plant, the root formation, and techniques used for transplanting. Notice the roots- that’s what we are looking for in the ones, with an indoor friendly plant. Usually at that point the plants are feeding/ drinking everyday for a week.
Plants droop and perk up with light cycle, but you need to recognize when the droop is from the soil going dry. I will notice my small plants pray the day after a watering, then I will eventually see them not pray, and droop as days go on. This is where I push them, because I still feel a little weight to the pot, compared to a dry soil filled pot. The plants are stressed and focus on building roots searching for the remainder of water. Eventually if you wait too long you will see wilt. This or 6 hours before this wilt is where I give a drench or drink. It builds massive roots, which will support a massive plant in the flower stage. Eventually you will need to water/drench every day, and this is when you upcan to your final pot size. When they need water/drench everyday in the 1g pots and I’m not ready to upcan to the final pot size, Doc recommended that we alter the drench schedule - for example. GI-GI-H2O-TP-TP-H20, repeat.
Basically the soil mass is too small to support the biota for that size plant and we compensate with double and even triple in a row drenches. Of coarse when you upcan go back to normal drench schedule.
I’ve never observed droop caused by brix spray though.
Mine take a good amount of time to get root bound, but I am under T5s or very weak LEDs. I think if I ran them under more powerful lights it would take them a bunch less time than it does.
