Pollen chuckers paradise

It doesn't take long to see some red hairs. I was surprised how fast I could notice. The fact that all the rest are nice and white helps LOL. The male will pump out pollen most of what is left of its life. I normally don't keep them around after they have did there thing all over the females. 2 or 3 days of tapping it and spreading pollen everywhere should be good. The longer you leave the male in the more seeds you will get but the maturity will vary. No use growing immature seeds.
Thanks Jack. I'm a little bit concerned. I woke up in middle of the night and looked at my temp/humidity monitor saw my rh was at 70%. I went out to the shed and unzipped the tent doors. It dropped down to 55%. Do you think it affected anything with the moisture level that high for couple of hours

I have a couple of questions. First how long till the pistols turn brown showing its been pollinated. Also how many days will be keep dropping pollen. Thanks in advance

I can always see Shriveled hairs the next day

I let the pollen sit for two days then mist it all off....

Just did this two days ago...always works for me

im sure there fine once the pollen is on there the deed is done!

One cool thing you'll like about doing this as a hobby. Even if you don't hit what you're aiming at, some pretty interesting $hit comes along. Probably the best thing I did so far was a mistake; my third generation of GDP breeding from the original regular seeds I accidentally pollinated my Jack the Ripper clones, and a few of those seeds I grew turned into plants that got me stoned o_O
Here's a GDP S1 x GDP f3 pheno from the backcross project I'm doing now:

looks great! I bet that cross is potent! I've got the pollen chucking bug :high-five: Tonight I'll collect some for another day :D

I just collected couple of small viles of pollen. I put rice in with the pollen. Does it have to be dried out before I store it? Thanks in advance :) also @Chris Scorpio you were right. Lots of the pistols are already discolored :high-five:

I had two large steel cookie sheets. One on each side butted up to the main stalk. Sitting under the plant catching the falling pollen. Hopefully it was dried out from sitting on the sheets. I put it in the viles with some rice. Now it's sitting with the lids off for a few. Hopefully it will keep for awhile :)

Hopefully :high-five: I did a single branch pollination on 2 others tonight. I painted with a tiny paint brush and covered with small paper bags. Then washed the rest of those plants incase the pollen drifted. I'll remove the bags in couple of days and mist those branches. Hopefully it won't contaminate my whole tent. Lol. I tried to be careful

you didn't do that in the tent rite!

I applied mine right in the tent. Haha we will see what comes of it. I was extremely careful turned everything off and made sure there was not a lick of air movement. Applied it let it sit for three hours and came thru and sprayed everything down with water including the pollinated branches. So far so good pollinated on the 12th

I bought some small brown bags. Painted the buds then slid the bags over the branch and stapled it kinda tightly. I'll get a pic tommorow. I think I'll leave bags on for couple days

It’s my understanding that they only need a few hours for pollination to occur but I could be totally wrong. That’s why this thread is super cool. I’m learning new things everyday and been growing this plant for quite a long time now.
