I am seeing trichomes with the scope I have. Mostly between the pedals of the flowers themselves. Not many on the outside of the pods. I am having troubles getting them in a picture. The one thing I do know for sure is the other male didn't have any of what I am seeing.
I really thought I could get them to show up if I cropped them close enough. It didn't work. I did get a couple good pic's to post. Here are a close up and a artsy fartsy picture of my male.

Thanks Dank. I wasn't paying as much attention as I thought to the plant. I was looking at the plant not the distance between it and the light. I had to bend it over yesterday it was 6" from the light LOL. On the bright side. After stretch it seems to be as tall as the tallest female. I am even now more sure it is a Haze leaning pheno. What that means I won't know till I try the outcome.

that's the only way I no how to do it just takes time to grow them out im currently trying some ultra dog x copper chem I have 4 going to see what they look like!
Cool thread. I just painted a few branches a few days ago. Looking forward to seeing what y’all come up with.

I have a reveg that I just got a cut off of. The plant has old buds on the bottom from a month or so ago. But it's new branches have pistols. I'm thinking about putting it in with the male too. Any thoughts on that? This is my first reveg
Right now I chose a icy hot male which is
Pakistani Chitral kush x the cube
I hit Icy Hot, GG4xZkittles, and a coyote ugly mystery cross I accidentally made last year.

I have a gg4 x zkittles male now I am going to collect some pollen from for my next round of flower.

I have relatively no experience. I did do it one time before but I’m actually giving it a real go now. Its actually what got me wanting to grow again after a hiatus from growing for a few years.Sounds like a great lineup shotta

I just put the girls in with my dude. I also put 2 metal cookie sheet next to him butted up to his main stalk to catch his pollen. After I got it all set up I tapped him with a pole through a small unzipped spot in the door. I could see powder fly. No fan but it was a small cloud. After I took a shower

I have a couple of questions. First how long till the pistols turn brown showing its been pollinated. Also how many days will be keep dropping pollen. Thanks in advance

Not sure how long males drop pollen, but self pollinated females will continue for weeks if not the entire grow.
As for telling when they are pollinated, I couldn’t tell at first, even the pistoles were of no help. I found they don’t necessarily shrivel into the pod. Some mature seed still had brown pistoles sticking out of the pod.
All I can tell you concerning that is you will know when seeds are developing as the bud will ‘look’ different.

in the little experience ive had they should start to curl some and discolor in a couple days you should be able to tell by then ive never done a whole plant but if hes dumping im thinking a couple days in there should do the job but someone may come back with a different approach good luck dankman!

Thanks guys for the responses. I'm thinking I'll leave him with them for a few days. I'm curious to see how long he'll keep dropping pollen. I'll be leaving all the girls in that tent too for a couple weeks. Then I'll spray them down with water to get did of the pollen. Then back to the main flower tent

It doesn't take long to see some red hairs. I was surprised how fast I could notice. The fact that all the rest are nice and white helps LOL. The male will pump out pollen most of what is left of its life. I normally don't keep them around after they have did there thing all over the females. 2 or 3 days of tapping it and spreading pollen everywhere should be good. The longer you leave the male in the more seeds you will get but the maturity will vary. No use growing immature seeds.
