How long is the pollen viable and if I wait to flower my photo can I avoid having it being pollinated despite being in the same tent just at a later date? To clarify they are all in the same tent, I just wouldn't be flipping to 12/12 until the autos are long gone Thanks!

rite before you flip I would wash the tent down then flip no problem!

Once yer preggo plants are done..or done pollination is done

Wash down everything..mist every plant, even flowering ones, really really really really really really good, like a few times over a couple days

Then flip

Ya should be fine then

So Celt. Have you seen many males to give me a idea of how this one is looking compared to others? I know it is the most I have seen on a male. I have only really looked hard at 6 or 7 males. This male and a Jack's Cleaner 2 male are the only ones I have seen noticeable bulbous trichomes like this. The JC 2 didn't have this many when it released pollen.

I’ve only ever grown one male out, and it was outside, kept in its own little enclosure to keep the pollen from getting to my girls. At that point, it was just to watch one grow and I never looked closely at it.

The females I converted for fem seed last fall, all had trichomes on the pollen sacs, wasn’t really looking for trichomes at the time, but had my reading glasses on checking for pollen when I noticed a sparkling spot on one sac, looking closer, looked like a drop of resin, that’s when I noticed the trichomes.

I let the bud I am collecting seed from dry to a crisp (about 40% moisture) and dry sieve the bud on a 150 micron stainless steel screen. I save everything not seed and then make oil out of it.

4 plants in a 32 inch square (800mm x 800mm) tent under 450w 3200k led, yielded me about 2500 viable seed and 12g of potent oil. This batch was amber I believe, some batches I get cherry oil.

Thanks celt. I'm not much into oil, but I love some hash. Seems like I could get some good stuff from it. Your drying method said it all. I can dry it well, break it up and remove seeds. Then proceed to make hash as always :D

I use most of the oil for edibles. Make my hash from unseeded bud, much cleaner lol

Let me get this right. Your plant area was 32" x 32" and you got 2500 seeds :oops: Holy cow I'll probably get 10k plus.
Do you think it'll be too dirty for hash?

I found that drying it that much allowed leaf matter to breakup small enough to go through the screen as well. You could card it to clean it up, but I don’t have the time or desire to go through that process and as I make oil anyway, why bother. I get enough bud out of my 4x8 tent to smoke and make primo hash from :)

What to do. I was thinking about running around like jonny appleseed planting everywhere :rofl: JK.... I'm not sure yet but I see some pheno hunts in my future :high-five:
 
I personally leave it out in my trim bin to dry to a crisp then I hand rub the buds so they crumble in my fingers and the seeds and dust fall to the screen. The kief under comes out clean and last time I ended up with a ton. I could see if you rub it against the screen or something will get some plant particles in your kief but finger rubbed seems to come out clean. Then you can turn your kiff into hash or refine it further. The stuff on my fingers isnt so bad either.

I have a dream of taking my extra seeds to throw in random spots, sides of the freeway, walkways, lots just anyplace I see dirt. Overgrow the world with quality genetics

I'll be making Dry Ice kief from my 3 ATF fully pregnant plants

All very very dry, harvested like a yr ago

Did it with some old C99xblueberry and worked great

what do you think of the atf I recently harvested one and I like it quite a bit for day smoke just curious what you think of yours!

That is my GF #2 fav smoke... DTF is her #1

It's a great Smeller and smoke...I use it in oils a lot..love it

I need to test it more again, for me, since I'm smoking more and not drinking beer .....

I made a SHIT TON if fem seeds and still have Regs Pollen I use in everything searching for that Unicorn strain...lol

Ran one last grow, turned out great

Next up in two weeks us a DTF grow
Pollen chucking and fem seeds

Fun fun fun
