PK Perpetual Grow Journal 2020

I go for long colas to boost yields
that was my understanding from everything i've read and understood. I deffinitly don't want the low end buds and when i was cutting away, i was also looking at the branch size and you could deffinitly notice what branch would do better.

Here is a picture of the male plant. I allowed the pot to dry up in the sun for few days and then shaked the soil off.
Saving my soil for my upcoming clones. But look at that root foundation!!

Never mind the black container as I am in process of creating a journal for those females.

But in the red tal glass container i've got three branches from the current female plant inside the tent.
they are under a 120w led light inside a different room.
Temp and humidity 85f/80%

i did deep the branch in rooting gel, but since i put it inside the galss that has tab water with mixture of MC, the rooting gel came off of the branch.

Good luck on your cuttings.
so the last 4 i cut all had roots, but since i had a male plant and i didnt know which branch was which, i decided to throw them away and just have these three branches restarted. Atleast now im 100% sure the clones are all females

Update; I decided to take it out of water and just put it in these green stuff before i put them into soil.

Since the plants in my soil are thriving, I thought to start a journal. So here it goes;
I do like to thank some of the well known members who have helped me out up to this point.
@Pennywise @MochaBud @Emilya @The Phantom

The seeds are from a stash i purchased and every nug had many seeds in it. I don't know what strain or what kind of weed it was as i saved it for few months before i decided to grow them and i forgot what the weed was called.
The equipments I have purchased were from another grower that decided to stop and since i've bought a complete setup, i thought down the road i would upgrade on what i need.

My tent is 2"x2"x5"
Current light upgraded to MarsHydro TS1000
Carbon filter and exhust
AC with air intake to the tent
1 humidity and temp checker
1 Digiten temrature controller

The plants are currently in Vegetaive stage. They were germinated as a wet paper towel method back in March/2020. Since it is my first growth and with the mistakes taken they were growing slowly. However, with the help of some well known members here at 420 the plants are doing much better.

The tents settings is:
Current Temp/humidity 24c/51%
High/Low temp 27c/19c
AC temp set to 22c

Both plants are growing in soil that is inside of a yougort cup that i have put holes at the bottom for water to drain. They will be transplanting into a fiber 3' and 4' fiber pots. (not sure of the exact name)
The soil is ProMix HP and I have added little bit of wormcasting to the mixture.

Currently i am water the plants every 3/4 days. I am slightly noticing that the bigger yougurt cup is drying quicker.
i've been following The Proper Way To Water A Potted Plant by @Emilya
Currently, I am using MegaCrop nutritions.
Water mixture ph 6.5 and 300ppm

The pictures are taken at the current stage and the two plants are growing beutifully.

I am interested of finding out what strain and sort of plants they are. As i have 30 seeds saved up :snowboating:
If you do like to read everything that has happened up to this point you can read it here First time growing

Also, the hydro plant will have its own seperate journal, but it might pup up on some pictures.
Cool Man!.. I basically have the same dealio going plant wise except mine is a 8 gal can running 6 gal of liquid hitting the bottoms of the pots.. which I'll replace with single lid after my plants start getting squeezed for room.. I have 2 clones in hydro and 3 in soil.. Just went to 3 grams MC per gal and am gonna stay there for a while.. Most def you have to watch watering and plant color using MC and knowing when to change out.. soil is a little trickier because things may not show up for a few days so harder to gauge / balance out.

Good job on yur grow and plants.. Tent looks super nice and efficiently run...

@Rexer thanks dude!! its finially flower time

@Anthony Suszko from all the plants i had growing on this round only 1 was a femail which was in soil.
although i'd love the hydro style growing, it wasn't working for me. ph wouldn't stablize, nutri would rise and the plant was just acting up. "not the plants fault, but the grower" :passitleft:

i wonder how many grams a full table spoon is? cuz right now i am doing 5tbs in milk jug container. i think milk jusgs are less then a gallon.

might be overkill? .. or un-needed stress? IDK? but at that size I might use one as a control and plant the other two into near final pot size making sure i kept the stem at original ground level as not to cause stem rot also giving them the same feeling of root depth they had in hydro..

@Anthony Suszko true, it is still kind of in the water but its allot less water. My dad, cuts flowers and just sticks them right into the ground. It always has worked for him. I would bet the difference that it would work if i woul dof just sticked it into the soil pot. however, i have a bad/amazing good habit and that is being to courius.

Once these clones root i will remove the green spoungy things and just plant it in the soil. I like knowing how the root system is before it goes into dirt.

I am also thinking of putting one of those clones as a hydroponic style and try that again.
on my first attempt becasue the plant was going from dirt into hydro i had allot of issues. I think if i just sticked one of these into hydroponic growing it would go allot smoother

My grandfather was the same way growing African violets on the windowsill on the back porch.. I swear that F**ker could just cut a leaf , plant it in soil without hormone gel or anything and it would grow..

i know right!! some ppl just have the blessed hand like that!!

is it still to early to find out what type of strain and buds i will be growing??? i've got like 20 more seeds of this kind
also, once you clone a plant, how many more times can you clone from the next plant before germenating a seed?

I rather not go through the first 2 months of growing from germenating to seedling. I also like my photoperiod plants better then autos. i know autos are easier but what the fun in that!!!

Well the thing with me is that while my 3 Afghan plants were in Flow, I had nothing to do, so started messing with clones and wound up with 5... the funny part is I was having trouble just keeping up with these 3 mature plants, and now gave myself more work lol.. this clone thing is just supposed to keep me occupied till next seasons grow start..

I stayed away from auto's because i want the flexibility of pulling the 12/12 trigger when i want to if i feel the plant needs additional grow period time in veg.. I may not get max foliage i want if the plant goes into auto too soon..

indeed, the control over photoperiods are so much better for finial results. hence why i am more keened on them vs the auto's. However, i've come across threads that you can mimik the autos by stressing them and topping them to keep them longer in veggative stage. However, i don';t know how your finial resluts would be. seems to work for him tho!
