My Afghans want to go the full 7-9 weeks but I'm also maturizing seeds and letting lower growth bud up so I'm waiting for seeds to turn nice and dark before chopping them down.
I think unless you run into perfect weather for long stretches outdoor growers can expect the full 7-9 week flow.. Indoor you may be able to shave a week or two off...but it really just boils down to when the plant goes from veg into flower, and feeling out daily growth rate, you can better guesstimate short or longer flow time needed.
 
PKs next grow will prob be in the fall/winter/spring months. Hell, as long as winter is up there he could get two flowering cycles complete before the heat cranks up again.
There's a solution to his heat issues...somewhere. They go from good to terrible on hot days. There's a solution...just gotta find it. Is there a thread anywhere here that helps a new grower troubleshoot issues involving indoor grow environments? I can't seem to find one.

I tried thinking out of the box suggesting embracing the heat and humidity growing something sub tropical.. Will keep my eye out for a plant PK can grow in this humidity range..

Outside the box is good. But no plant will survive long with a 150deg spike. Humidity I never really worried about till mid to late flower. My morning Rh is 80+ and it lowers to about 50+ by mid afternoon. Unless it's raining of course.

I've been dealing with slow to dry up soil conditions.. pots can stay moist for a few days. I feel safer over watering then trusting the finger poke test because that's just a top layer touch indicator. Temp in my booth stays at around 81' (sweet spot temp) and can fall down to 77-78' during nights .. Starting to get back to normal humidity levels so just been rolling with it..
 
going from 4 plants to almost none sucks. Thankfully i've got 3 clones of her and I've got a GG that is racing to the top.
Learn from mistakes. Tweaking for better results. All i can say is that the next four plants in line will truly get me my happy ending. :rofl:
 
Hey @PK1 have you moved your led driver outside of your tent? It just takes a few feet of wiring and a couple connectors to get it done.

For the long run I would do what Penny said. Bite the bullet, skip an impulse seed purchase to get some cash scraped up so you can get a portable or maybe small window a/c unit. Problem solved permanently and you no longer have to limit yourself on strains because of your grow conditions.

i think for winter i'll be all set as im not gona be dealing with this heat issue. My unit gets sun all day long during summer and everything heats up so during evenings becasue its cooling down it gets damp and hot air. Now if i am present i'll just adjust the AC temp and we are laughing.. BUT, with work and everything in life im just not there sometimes and thats where this prob occurs.

i have a controller that can turn power on when temps get out of wack. the issue is the ON button on the AC.
When power is activated to the plug the ACstill needs someone to press the damn button :rofl:

ya, the controller does both. essentially i need a AC or heater that does not have a on off button. It has to be one of does that does not have button so the controller can control the enviroment
 
10pm and its finally dark outside. winter time at 6pm its already dark
i opend the tent door since the room is now fully dark and got the fans running.
current temp 74f 53%
but im sure this is about to change
