Pigeons420's Re-Veg/Re-Generation of The Hog

You the man OG!

It's actually one of your comments earlier in this journal that made me stop doing LST and start doing HST... You said something along the lines of "why tie down that shit, just bend it" and because of that I haven't tied anything down since. I have bent everything and that's the path I'm going to take from now on. The tying down is too much of a hassle. Especially with a plant like this with so many damn stems and tops to tie down...

But with that said. I put my son to bed tonight and scurried downstairs to work on a screen. And we'll after much research and thought, this is what I've come up with. She sure ain't anything pretty. And she may even collapse under her own weight. But here we go...

I am happy to help other growers it is much more fun to share.

If you are going to spread to the corners of that screen I would not fim the corner facing
Branches much so they will stretch a little to reach the corners.
Good luck it will be good I'm sure especially if it gets some led lovin ;-}

I am so freaking impressed Pigeons! She isn't the same plant at all. I can't wait to see what she gives you this time. Wow!!!

Hi friends!

She's beautiful! Doing her thing. I've reached a bit of a conundrum in terms of space. This reveg shares a room with two auto flowers and they are ready to switch to 12/12. But I'm not entirely sure I'm done with the hog in veg. I have a CFL veg cabinet but I don't want to stress any plants by switching from HPS to CFL. I also ask myself have I taken the hog far enough already? Should I switch to 12/12. I dunno.

Here she is in all her beauty

Never having done a reveg I have no idea what to advise, but just looking at her and counting the bud sites what do you have to lose by switching her over. How old are the autos? (I apologize for not knowing that right off Pigeons.) Are you sure it's time to switch them? Can you buy another week for her?

She must love you Pigeons. Look at how hard she's growing to reward you. :laughtwo::green_heart:

I don't think I ever gave the age of these girls. They popped soil on Feb 17.

I feel the love. She's been so rewarding already!

And are the autos ready to switch? I think so. I'm going to post some pictures in that journal tonight. But their showing plenty of pistels and are certainly tall enough.

Good Friday to you all!

How wonderful it feels to wake up and see this beautiful girl each morning! She blows me away every time I stare at her. What a creature I have created!

Haha ok ok

I've tried to take some pictures of her under carriage in order for you to see how thick and dense her stem and foliage is. I'm going to pull a couple leaves at the bottom that I think are hindering the circulation of air or impeding the light penetration threw the canopy. There is a lot going on under that screen that's difficult to see. And of course the pictures don't put into full perspective of just how big and dense the stems and leaves really are.

I'm still poundering the idea of flipping the lights soon... I can tell that I am nearing close to the end of her continuously shooting out tops. The bud sites that I left have given me just about all they can. So I think I will give her another week or so in veg then flip the lights to 12/12. I cannot explain how excited I am to proceed to bloom. However I feel it necessary to take my time and get all I can out of her because I learned from my last harvest that she has LOTS to give!!

Anyway take a look. Tell me what you think.

As always I send love and best wishes to you all. Happy Easter weekend folks :)

Looks great. I say cut all the dead stuff under the screen for sure and anything under that is blocking airflow to prevent mold.
I also would wait a other week or so until 3/4 of the screen holes are full. Then switch, then keep bending under for first week of bloom.
Keep up the great work.

I think he gave you excellent advice. Amazing Pigeons. Who'd have ever thought? Wow!
