Pigeons420 Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

I love all the gardens. I have invested some money now on the grow. What is sad is the electricity I use,yikes.:volcano-smiley:

Nice to see you Charliet!!!

I don't think the cost of growing is always as transparent as we would like it to be in our journals. The amount of money we spend monthly is a bit. (Especially for guys like myself running HPS and other HID systems.) but it's nothing compared to the amount of money we save every single harvest. I've been running my room consistently for about a year. And I'm probably still +$1000s of dollars of money I've saved instead of buying street herb. Or even from my producer.

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

I'm hoping this current grow is liked by my wife. I could save quite a bit of money if she smokes it instead of buying her own.

Here's hoping!! I bet once you harvest she'll never turn back. I remember the wife and I had our reservations about growing ourselves and whether or not the herb would be comparable to the stuff we buy from my producer. And well, we never went back. Been smoking home grown for almost a year now and I (rather she) has NO complaints!

Funny you should say that, as i mixed a new batch this morning @ 1.6 ec. Prior to that it was 1.4

Glad you two got it figured out. Ottawa is the man! This guy is one of my best assets :) He has forgotten more than I'll ever know.

Seed Purchase

With everything I have going on I haven't taken into consideration the amount of time it would take to train these girls to get them into flower. So, I've purchased 4 auto flowering seeds. I've only grown autos once and it was amazing. So, there's nothing holding me back from getting a few more in the grow room to get some quick herb while I take my time on these girls.

I've purchased:

BLUE DIESEL
WHITE WIDOW XXL
OG KUSH

I wanted to grab a couple seeds that I've always been interested in. And the white widow and the diesel are two I've always wanted to grow and smoke. So,nows my chance. They will not be trained, cloned or anything. From veg to flower to harvest! :)

Bring on the fun!
Update to come in a couple hours. Lots of work to get done down here before I start taking pictures.

***Monday Update***

So many glorious things are happening everywhere today across the 420 Magazine. Seeds are germinating, seedlings are opening their leaves to the world and there are harvests happening everywhere! It's a beautiful thing to watch and be apart of.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. My family and I took a trip into the city (Winnipeg) and had a great time. I wore my 420 T-Shirt and got a few comments. "Kool shirt" was the typcial response. I wondered if someone would be like "are you Pigeons420?" Haha wouldn't that be something?

Anyways, let's come back to reality here and avoid my dreams of fame and recognition. ahhh

I'm very quickly running out of room in my veg room. Haha of course I am! Things are forever getting bigger and bigger. Can't say I'm complaining either.
I've still got another girl to transplant. I've been slow to get it done because transplanting has more negative effects on my emotion than it does on the plant. Haha. Yesterday I dropped one of my pots and of course it fell upside down right on top of the plant. I couldn't help but laugh at myself for trying to be somekind of one hand pot wielding hero. Even thought about taking a picture of it upside down on the floor to show everyone my stupidity. But I figured I should just fix her and move on. But anyways, one girl left to transplant.
NOTEWORTHY MENTION for those that regularly train their girls, I think it would have been smarter to start them in final pots to avoid retraining. It was difficult to transplant a trained plant rather then a non-trained plant. On my Jack Herer I had to pull out the ties and replace them in the new pot.

ORKA
-She's been topped once and the two new tops have been split to either side.

SUPER HAZE
-Super Haze hasn't received any training. And I don't think she will. I would like to have her flowering sooner then later. Need some herb!!

8BALL KUSH
-one of my nicer girls at the moment. She's showing some nice tops and so far keeping rather even.

HACK HERER
-Only snapped two photos of her. Not entirely sure why cause she's beautiful and just as photogenic as the rest :P

TOP DAWG
- Finally starting to rebound from her over dose, her leaves are beginning to show some normalcy, finally! I still love her!

G'day Pidge and OG , A big thank's to both of you !!
It's funny sometimes the bleeding obvious is staring you in the face, yet you can't see it ?
I have only grown this strain, this way , once before and had no issues.
The thing with D.W.C is, you use much lower nutrient strength as their uptake is more efficient.

I'm happy that things got figured out. Even I'm learning. I don't know much about DWC but it's something I've thought about. I'll be asking you for help!

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Good morning family!

Such a beautiful fall morning here in the north. I hope everyone is ready to make the big change over to fall/winter. In Canada here we don't get much preparation time to get ready for winter. Although, there's no snow yet, it's only a matter of a couple short weeks and the white stuff will be here for the next 8 months.

So much training is happening in the room today. All the girls are doing wonderful and taking to the training exceptionally. I'm learning that the coat hanger idea is ok. But I had to make the pieces bigger to sink to the bottom of the pot. The plant was strong enough to pull the short ones out of the soil.

I'm seeds should be here Friday or Monday and I hope to get them planted right away. I haven't decided where I'm going to plant them yet. There's not a lot of room available for them. So, I'll Macgiver something for them this morning.

I've got lots of pictures to come! I just wanted to say hello! Hope you all feel loved and appreciated today. You all make me feel loved and appreciated, maybe I can do the same for you!
