Pigeons420 Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

So, of course, I go to the grow shop and they're all out of bulbs. So it'll be a couple weeks before I get some new ones. But they did have some 7 and 10 gallon geo pots, so I grabbed some of those. Let's go big!!

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

why not bigger is better lol just ask the ladies

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Because I'm quite familiar with the term "big is not always better". Although things are growing now. I do have it in my head that I need some more blue spectrum. I've only got one bulb providing it. (At least it's one bulb). To much light at this stage will fry them and stunt their growth.

Morning Bear!!

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

With the CFLs you want a 3/1 ratio. If your vegging you want 75-80% of the spectrum to be cool. When flowering you flip it the other way. You can veg with only cool and bloom with only warm, but you'll get better results in the end if you mix it, IMHO.

As I type this I'm looking over at my Carnival, with only cool. Maybe I'll toss a warm one in there.

Done! Thanks for reminding me. :high-five:

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Good morning everyone!!

I've been pretty distant over the last few days because I'm watching my little man for the next week and a half while he has no daycare.

But regardless of my distance, the plants still need some TLC. Also noticed that the Flower Bomb Kush was done and ready for harvest. So the wife and I spent some quality time chopping and preparing her for drying and manicuring.

Because we did it together I wasn't able to take a boatload of photos. When she helps me out for these kind of things I try to keep her entertained and not bored while I take photos and upload them. So I took a few and I'll post them here today!

She came down real nice. I noticed her buds were real small but there were so many of them! Buds on buds on buds on buds. So although small I think she'll still yield anywhere between 3-4 ounces.

I also noticed that the purple was really starting to come out!! So beautiful was her under side!!

***QUICK UPDATE***

Good morning family!

I wanted to take this time to create a little update. My man is choking down on breakfast and catching up on some Sesame Street, so it's a perfect time for me to sneak away and take a peak in the garden.

Harvested buds are coming along as planned. They will get their final manicure tonight after my man is in bed and the wife can give me a hand. I'll be the first to admit that marijuana saved my life but what else is nice is the amount of quality time gardening/harvesting brings to the wife and I. We turn on some music and sit and chat. We talk about all kinds of things that regularly get put to the side because of our environment. But when harvest comes around our house we both drop everything and commit to a couple hours of trimming. It's a great feeling.

MATARO BLUE(week 11)

She looks like she'll be ready for harvest for next week. Probably Wednesday or so. How exciting?!? And she looks big and bountiful!

VEG ROOM

Everyone is coming along nicely!! So, nice to see them looking so lush and healthy. It's almost time for a few transplants which will take place in the next week or so. I have the plan to convert the grow room into a veg room running on Metal Halide. This will give me the most room and I've got plenty of lights to accommodate this. So that's something to look forward to!
Jackelope are the ones in the front row and the one in the middle of the second row.

REVEG OF THE FLOWERBOMBKUSH

I feel like I never got an honest shot at the Bomb. I spent 3/4s of her veg life and ALL of her flowering life trying to rebound her from an over dose. So, I would like another shot at her without the hassle. I don't think I harvested much more than 3 ounces from her this time and that's rather disappointing. So, consider this the redemption round!

Thanks for checking me out today folks! I'm sending each of you a boat load of love!

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Thanks man!

It was a last minute decision to bring her back. I just stared at her on the floor and thought "why not?"

I've read that you can bring them back from just stem. So hopefully with just a little bud sites that should help to!

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Everything looks great, Pigeon, except the reveg. I'm hoping for the best but it looks a little naked to make a comeback.

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

I was reading a post that came up last night which had some pics of somebody's reveg. It started out as a bare stick- looked a lot like your FBK Pigeons, but with no foliage at all. It was late and I don't remember what the thread was called.
Speaking of reveg- is the hog still around somewhere?

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

heya pidge,, good luck with the reveg,, i will be interested to see iffin it works for ya,, i know i have read that leaves must be present for a reveg to work,, but,, what does whoever wrote that know?? i ask you again??,, cheers pal,,:Namaste:

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Well, that'll be a challenging reveg, but if anyone can make it happen it's you Pigeons. Congrats on the harvest and the pleasant time with the wife and best of luck on your redemption shot with the Bomb.

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Thanks for being the first to grow my jackalope
That is quite a cut down reveg. I hope it grows for you. I have had trouble before when cutting them down that much.

Well I certainly love the skepticism!! Because I also share this same level of skepticism.

A few moons ago Susan shared a post by someone who has done a number of revegs then I have and they did a very detailed analysis of the different ways to REVEG. This was very insightful and led me to believe that you can REVEG just about anything. So I guess time will tell!

Thanks folks for making the pages of my journal memorable ones

always something to make me smile ss

re: Rex Pigeons Flies the Coop & Goes Perpetual in 2015

Well last night was fun! But I can't help but be a bit saddened to see my grow room empty. It's the first time since coming to 420 magazine that I've had an empty grow room. Looks a lot different. I'm going to take this time to scrub it down and disinfect it and get it ready to possibly become a veg room. Not sure yet. Because if I do that then when the first girl is ready to flower I won't have room for her. So I'm kind of stumped about what and where to go next.

Well it's one of my smaller harvests. But I'm not complaining!

Coming in at 2.5 oz here's my Medicinal FlowerBomb!
