Yea there is the growers benchmark list.

1st 1oz a plant
2nd 1 pound per 1000w
3rd 1 gram per watt

Anything beyond that and your top of your field lol

I got 1 out of 3 so far. Best plant ive grown to date was 35 grams.

All I try to do is a bit better then the last time.

Awesome work. I know I'll hit the 1 ounce mark with this plant. I'll probably never have 1000 watts worth of light because of electricity bill, and 1 gram per watt seems like the fevered dream of a madman to me.
 
For the record, all the new technology has most people clamoring for a common denominator to do direct comparisons, and yes, to see who's "widget" is best. One of the easiest and most basic is overall weight. I personally want to get a certain yield simply to satisfy my needs, but the most important thing is striving for that true connoisseur quality...however you may measure it. For me, it's aroma, flavor, potency, color and density, then yield. That may change as I intend to step up my extraction game and start growing for high-quality hash.

I feel you on the connoisseur quality. That's the most important factor, or else I'd still be buying Mexican ditch weed. I just want to make the most of what I got.

I know somebody on these forums found a bank that carries Charlottes web. I'll look around and see what i can find unless somebody else knows. I'll check for ac/dc too
 
Lol widget?

Governmentchz I did forget about that aspect. Quality I miss quality bud lol. All my shit has been, well good but lacking. One batch will smell good but taste funny. One tasted nice but looked like a bag of green popcorn. And another looked, smelled and tasted like shit. Still got 4oz or so of that in the freezer.
All made good hash, so if I can't get my quality up I'm just going to gumby all my bud into hash. Even the shittiest of bud, as long as its fresh frozen it makes good hash lol well the way I do it at least. I've smoked it with 65 year old hash heads and they begged to buy it off me. So I can only imagine what kinda hash good bud makes.

To meet those 3 things I said. is half the battle. To do all that while growing the strains to there full potential meaning quality. That's a goal to achieve.

Hey PeytonManning, I found a place to get RSO, Rick Simpson's Oil. Need to use a gram a day for 60 days. Harborside in Oakland said they sell it. Place sells it for 3.5 gm for $60. Limit two a day. Need 18 for my illness. Only $1080. It takes 1 Lb of flowers to make 60 gms. So that is a good price. It would be nice to get rid of what ails me and the epilepsy too. No way I could grow enough. I had a hard enough time to grow what I did grow. I might harvest that this weekend. I saw amber today. Hope I get half an oz. Thinking about your .5gpw makes me drool. I have 700 watts. Man that is a dream.
 
So looks like you'll be spending some time in Oakland soon huh? I hope you can get that you need wildjim. If I lived in Oakland I would start stocking up for you. I'm sure you'll find somebody in here that can help. Great community here. It's a shame this stuff isn't available to everyone. 700 watts is nice. I wish I could have bought that one. Especially with bigger room coming along

I wouldn't say that Jim, far from a dream. Everyone starts somewhere. Not a single grower got awesome yields and quality there first go around. It took me almost a year to start to get my shit under control. My first crop with a 400w was 12 grams.
Ya learn the most the first 2 grows. 3rd gets better. Well for me at least lol.

I wonder about this rso. Does the bud have to be high cbd? Or can it be made from 1 lb of any strain?

I think you could grow a pound once you get a few factors in check on your grow, and the proper strains for rso. Time is of the essence I understand that.

I don't want to fly. I have to convince my wife to take 2 weeks off and drive me. Shoot, it's almost summer and vacations are summer.

The only thing is the heat from the 700 watts. I was going to get the 400 but the wife said I should think future grows. Do you use a inline fan and duct it out? I think that might help.

If I could I would grow and make oil and give it away. I have a few friends, like me, that have a cancer they are fighting. But a pound is a lot to grow. I read someone got a pound from one plant. Got a pound with "Think Different" from some dutch seed bank. Name slips my vacant mind. Maybe Dutch Passion. I think it was an auto also.

All he says it has to be high quality. Here is a link to his site. Check out the video on the first page. Only a couple minutes long.
 
I use a small booster fan that is ducted into the tiny room that my water heater sits in. It has a vent that goes to the roof, so it only made sense. My new room will be vented directly into rafters of garage.
I've never heard of an auto putting out a pound. I'm pretty sure you have to veg a plant for a few months to get that kinda weight

I read a journal of somebody's that got over a pound from this plant. It was the first journal I read and the strain didn't have a name yet. He was growing it for Dutch Passion. I think it was on 420. Not sure. It might have been Iceman or something like that. Not sure. Memory sucks
