I don't know man. You guys never had a place to hide or a tree to melt into. I'm glad you came back so I could just say "Glad to meet ya".

so you guys call it tap water even though you call a tap a faucet? I'd have imagined you'd call it faucet water...
lucky guys, my faucet water comes straight out the tap at 8pH, settles overnight to about 6.9 if I'm lucky. not tried boiling it... i thought that might kill off any waterborne nutrients and minerals?
I don't know why they call the faucet a tap, they just always have. Mine comes out at 8.2 and overnight it'll drop to 7 something. I haven't actually used my ph meter in a month or so. I just add 1.4 ml to get to 5.8, and I add a little less to get ph to flex a little. I was wondering does it matter if it's faucet water that's hot or cold? Doesn't hot water have more calcium in it?
The backbuilding is coming along nicely. Only been a few days and already most of the branches are disappearing, being hidden by bud growth. Gonna look really good come harvest time! I am a firm believer in backbuilding, and hgk grow will let me try my hand at fluxing. Can't wait for this show to end and new one to start in new room
Same here. That was why I use tap. I'm trying to grow on a budget, so adding anything is too much for me. It took me a bit just to be able to get led light. I'll figure out something. Just don't wanna spend money
I do have those, but I drive a sports car, it's hard enough getting the 8 2.5 gallon DH20 in to it. I could never get four 5 gallon jars in there and it would take several trips, and I live in a nice area with a nosy neighborhood watch program (which is good). It's just too obvious hauling water from my garage into my apartment. As it is I do most of my transporting after dark. I have pretty hard water here, but it doesn't seem to be effecting my plants.Hey TrysHard, $100 a month? How big is your rez? I live in the country but there are 3 towns within 25 miles that have stores that sell "pure water" for 30 cents a gallon, if you have your own bottles. Single gallon or up to five gallon bottles. The problem with RO and distilled (DH2O) water is that there are no micro nutrients or minerals. That's why tap water or "spring water" is better. I don't know why I wanted to use DH2O, my tap water is 60 ppm and 7.6 ph. My next grow will definitely be out of my faucet.
Hey guys, those loaders are looking good Peyton. I'm currently using tap water also. 50ppm and 6.7 out the faucet. Haven't tried the DH2O and since I would have to pay for it, I doubt I will. For those with high pons out the faucet have u considered boiling the water before you load it with nutes. May lower those numbers
Check out this thread:What you mean by back building? Not sure of the term.
I do mad FIM and LST to prepare them to be Scroged. Looks like you do to or do you just Veg into ScroG?

It would probably cost me more to boil 20 gallons than to buy Dh20.
I know what you mean bud. I live in a community with neighborhood watch types too. But I just buy 3 1 gallon jugs on Thursday night for a Fryday nute change. Looks like drinking water to neighbors. Took me a while to afford all the stuff to grow my meds. LED took quite a while. Had a ton of stuff in my home office. But I also had to get my garden ready from last year and all that stuff was under a big 250 Watt CFL in the basement surviving the winter. Tried to grow meds under the CFL but it was too hot in my small tent... not unlike the LED. I started with DH2O so I will finish with it. But next time it will be "faucet" water. Just like my veggies. My tomatoes are 16" tall and I still haven't replaced the cable for hanging support. Good luck in your water and grow.

Well what I doing here is legal on the state level, I just don't want my neighbors in my business, its always best to keep a low profile. You never know some Yahoo watched Weeds on TV and thinks my little tent full of medicine is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and does something stupid. I always plan for the lowest common denominator.
