Peyton's Holy Grail Kush - Flux - Hempy - Mars II 400

Stumped, is that SOG that you are talking about? 16 colas like my Red Poison would sure be nice.

Yup it will be a sog. Will be 16 2-2.5 foot plants. Each roughly yield an oz to 1.5 oz. Watering might be an issue, so I'm thinking on bottom feeding, I have a 3x3 catch pan that's water tight.

Cheers

If I could clone I would probably run 6 at a time, cause two ain't as bad as I thought it would be. But then again, I haven't flowered 2 at a time yet. 2 more weeks, whether they show sex or not

I might check that out, just don't know if he'll have prices like that. Small town, no competition, so his prices are stupid. 13 bucks for a gallon and a half worth of perlite. He was trying to sell "nasa" led lights for well over a grand. If not I'll grab some on my next amazon order with root riot and perlite

My hydro shop where I live is hilarious. They sell GH and AN. About 4 hids, have yet to see LEDs there. And no one there knows shit about growing anything. I asked the dude what line of nutes he recommends and he looks at me like I just asked him for a blowjob. Confused and scared. Hahahha

One time I was buying a air stone and the same guy asked what Its used it for.... Seriously? Not what I use it for, but what generally its used for. I told him about dwc and he was like fuckin amaized lol dude u work in a HYDRO shop. Lol

Yeah the guy at our hydro shop has his nasa led light, a 400 watt hid, and a whole bunch of pamphlets for products he don't sell.

So stumped, instead of ebb and flow, you looking into maybe a wick system? Less work and parts than e&f. I've never used one so I can't vouch for it, but sounds simple enough

No wicking, just going to bottom feed. I have a tray 36"x36" and 6" high. Just every feeding I'll dump 3-5 gallons in the tray and let the soil do the wicking. I've seen people do it on a slightly smaller scale and it worked great. I also did it when I was using 12x18 catch pans.
They say not to let plants sit in water. But these will soak up 3-5 gallons easily within a hour or 2. Then left till dry again.

Flushing I'll still have to top feed I think still. But it should make 6 weeks of watering a lot easier.

I am sold on those Root Riot plugs. Tried rockwool cubes and only got one to grow. If you want to try rockwool, I'll send you a few, but Root Riot is so much better IMHO. It has nutrients and you don't have to ph them before you use them. If you have a farmers coop near you, 50 miles, the perlite I get is about $18 for a giant sized 4 cubic feet bag, 30 gallons. Google Farmers Coop with your zip code.

Any roots yet on the clone?

WJ

Don't wanna hijack the thread, and even though I'm a relatively new grower, I've never had a problem with rockwool from seed. I don't know about clones, but I do know the rockwool didn't need to be pH'ed and I used TheCapn's germination technique; zero problems, and it's really tough to over-water...

Yea that was my problem with every other cloning medium I've tried. Its hard to keep the perfect balance of moisture.

Rockwool is either moist or dry. Never saturated like soil or peat.

But when it comes to cloning, everyone has different luck. I think it all depends on the humidity of the veg area you clone in. I keep a rh of 70% or so in veg. So no need for dome or nothing. And I get roots in 3-5 days. New growth within 10 days.
