Peyton's Holy Grail Kush - Flux - Hempy - Mars II 400

:yahoo:With help from a few here on 420 I think I have found the cause of my problems. First, I chose the wrong type and size of bucket. Works out that I have a 40 ounce rez but with the perlite it appears that my rez only holds about 16 ounces of nutes. The plant uses that quick and the rez winds up dry during the day. Also the heat helps in the evaporation because the plant transpires at a much higher rate due to the heat, the plant is trying to cool itself down. The heat is due in part to my choice of tent 3'x2'x5'. It is too short (5" tall) and that makes the Mars II 700W light is too close. My plant is 1 foot tall and the canopy is only 28" below the light. I thought I had planned this better. I have made changes and I am already seeing my girl make the changes to to the symptoms she was showing. I'll be feeding twice a day until I correct all the symptoms. Again thanks to the many here that helped, that means you Peyton. Stumped, KingJohnC, LA and Spimp you guys were so very helpful too. It's good to have experienced growers that want to help us newbies. I can't wait to have enough experience to give help and the calming effect like that friendly help I have received here on 420.

My baby pineapple chunk, already growing fast. Sorry for the pics, still using my phone and uploaded that way too. I'll be flipping to flower at end of month for HGK and SB.
 
HGK is doing it's thing. Haven't pulled any leaves in a few days so it's starting to grow out, hopefully enough by end of month for flower. SB is my favorite of the two, not because of training style but because holy grail pheno sucks ass. It should be ready for flower at dvd of month. HGK clone is still hopeful, but ain't worried about it either way. PC has second set of leaves trying to pop through. Can't wait to get it into 5 gallon bucket and monster bush it
 
Why don't u like the hgk pheno? I seen u say it a few times I just never thought to ask why lol
Or is it just no good for training? I mean she looks nice and lots of growth. I guess the true way to tell is when she gets smoked hahha

U been vegging for how long now? 2 months?

One of my BC plants died yesterday, not sure just fell over. The other is doing fine so far, just really fuckin slow growing.
 
This pheno has weird growth patterns. It came out the grind and the stem naturally bent 90 degrees, and every single branch grows with one big normal leaf and opposite side of node is tiny leaf. And that happens on every branch every node. Don't know if it had to do with naturally weird taproot or pheno, but I ain't happy with it. Flower these, grow out pineapple chunk, and then I got 2 C99 to grow before year ends. But so far 2 month veg on HGK and 1 month on SB
 
Sorry to hear about the death stumped. Luckily you have a near infinite amount of seeds to play with, and knowledge of cloning. I'm not that lucky lol. I would throw some autos in there if i could afford it. I've got the time and space, just missing the money part of it. Got my PC seed going now, so now I'm thinking of how long till I can pop them C99 seeds! I know, putting the cart before the horse...

The upturned edges of the fan leaves indicate either the cannabis plant either has an evaporation problem, heat stress of a magnesium deficiency.

When you say evaporation problem, does that mean if my rez is empty the fluid in the plant leaves is evaporating? I have in fact found that the rez in my hempy bucket is really small and is empty every 6-8 hours. I believe that was the causing factor of my shark tooth roll on the leaf edges. I corrected the roll and went too long between feedings, two hours, and the roll returned. And the rez was empty. It was a good learning adventure! Scary though. Thanks for your kind and considerate help in finding out what was happening.

I'm getting good at cloning, but I just have to get better at timing them. Lol in 2-3 weeks I'm gonna start a new round of plants, I think I'm just going to mainline 16 plants, single stem of bud. So far the single cola style has yielded the best quality and quantity for space used. I'll just have to trim the fuck out of the clones going into flower. Next round I'm not cutting clones till 3 weeks before needed.
