Peyton's Holy Grail Kush - Flux - Hempy - Mars II 400

I completely forgot about the box I did the sour sky grow in. So I took it out of closet and put it in garage today. Since it'll be veg box, don't need a door or anything fancy, so I'm gonna germ that pineapple chunk this week so I can get her going. Gonna be fun on a bun, cause she'll be in a 5 gallon bucket for flower. Gonna make a monster out of her. Might put her in sunlight most days. Sunlight/CFL for veg, led for flower.

Is that going to be a 5 gallon Hempy?

Yes sir. I didn't have the supplies to do my Flux in 5 gallon bucket, and glad for it now. So pineapple chunk will be a 5 gallon scrog, hopefully a 2 to 3 month veg time. I know I'll have to make a much bigger screen this time. That clone looks like it's trying to form white bumps, but the stem is also looking a little dark green and soggy. I'll give it a few more days. If not no loss, cause I'm not happy with the pheno anyways. I want to try to give it a fresh cut, but the clone is only an inch long to begin with. It was a small Flux arm that broke off, so didn't give me much to work with. But it still isn't wilting yet, so I'm holding out hope

12 hours and PC shell is cracked open but no taproot yet. Should be out in a few hours. Got my pellet and hempy solo cup ready, and veg box is ready. Once I start topping and training pc I'll start a journal for it.

I didn't realize it was so short. When I am making clones of my tomatoes they are nearly a foot long. I have one going on the back deck that is 2' tall and has blooms and one tomato 1" diameter.

At least you are starting the pineapple chunk now. You'll have something to watch and work on. Will it be hempy?

Yes, hempy for sure. I don't like worrying about soil amendments and pH levels of soil and all that jazz. I plan to always grow hempy style cause it's almost too simple. I'm excited to see what this pineapple chunk becomes. I plan on using every inch of the led's canopy

I went ahead yesterday and threw the pineapple chunk seed in jiffy pellet and stuck it in hempy solo cup. Checked on her today and she is pushing her way up to the top.

Sounds like its about that time!
Time to start a new journal.

Or u just going to update progress here?

I just noticed something on the girl yesterday morning. It's twisting the tips of the new leave growth. Have you seen this before? I flushed her with 6.1 faucet water. Then last night I mixed up some new nutes but I used only about half of the FloraNova Bloom. I had changed the placement of my little 6" fan to blow directly on the plant from above. Could this change have caused the twisting? It has been between 86 and 91 degrees in the tent. Will heat do this? I'm lost.

See the twisted leaf tips? Notice anything else? Thanks for any help.

Not sure what causes that. Mine stay in mid 80's low 90's all the time, but autos might stress easier than photos. Only other thing could be copper deficiency, but highly unlikely.

I noticed after reading your reply that some of the leaf edges look unnatural. Could that be the cause by the same thing? Or heat related? I sure wish I had more experience with growing this. She was doing so well. Maybe I'm just freaking out. I'm learning as I go along and I wish I had used a bigger bucket. Fast and Vast will go into a straight sided 3 gallon bucket. This bucket I am using now is about 30% smaller at the bottom than at the top. It makes for a smaller rez. I thought it might have dried out. I sure would like a larger and taller grow room.

It could be from the distance to the light, but I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts really affecting the plant. I've had twisted leaves before and it didn't hurt anything.

Your leaf damage may be either from pH fluctuation or Heat stress. How far is your light from the canopy? I notice in your photograph your plant appears to have a evaporation problem, what are your grow area temperature and humidity levels?

Thanks for looking and trying to help KingJohnC.
Grow temps are 86 to 91 and humidity runs between 40 and 50. It has been like that since the beginning. My Mars II 700 light is about 29" from canopy. Can't do anything about that. I have moved the fan lower and in front of one of the bottom vents of the tent blowing into the canopy. Before it was above and blowing down into the canopy. I noticed that my temp went up to 93 after moving the fan today. My tent is on the west wall of my house which might have an effect on temp, but the wall is R21. I will just leave the tent open when everyone is gone to work from now on to see if that helps. I'm thinking about getting another taller tent for the fast and vast I will start in two weeks. I noticed that my rez is pretty empty and have to water twice a day. The rez is only 40 ounces. The roots must be pretty hot and dry. My next grow will be a real 3 gallon bucket with a gallon for the rez. I should have gotten a 6" fan instead of the 4". I exhaust outside of the closet so that isn't causing it.
:thanks:

Hi KJC, can you elaborate on what exactly it is in the photograph that shows evaporation problem? Not clear on what it is or what to look for so more detail would be greatly appreciated.

Pineapple chunk poked it's head out of pellet today. First set of true leaves already pushing their way up. She's sitting in her veg box under a couple 23 watt CFL bulbs.
