Thanks all for the help with ordering my first seeds online. Ordered 6 Tangie fems at Herbies! It was about 130>$< after taxes and discount. Pretty pricey but thoroughly excited to get some reliable seeds for this strain. I'll be tuned in to watch you guys breed your creations as this is something I hope to be doing in the next year or so.....Tangi x Grape God Bud anyone?....creamy fruity purple oranges?!

Hey stumped, we were both wrong on solo cup size. You said 16, I said 20, and the ones I found are 18. Just making sure we all have a level playing field for the solo cup challenge. Should have some clones ready for it real soon, and some pollen shortly after that

Were gonna do a little challenge, just for testing and bragging rights, but all of us try to see what we can get from a solo cup with a clone or seed. You can join in, more the merrier. I think stumped is setting up the rules and regulations for it. Not sure if we'll just do it all here or start a different thread just for the challenge.

1 post per week per person. Must contain pics and any questions/replies in same post.

16 or 18 oz cup. 2 oz won't make a difference. Like I said not really a contest just a thread with everyone sharing pics of different strains, all at the same stages.

Turning it into a contest just makes it harder to judge a winner. And who or what factor would decide? Can have a 50gram plant in a solo cup, but if its shit pot then how would that be a winner? Not in my opinion. And we can't all very well smoke test everyone's harvest lol

I'll be doing hempy, stumped in soil, everything different so let's just do it for the love of growing. That's why I said it was for testing, i was hesitant about using the word competition. if we could figure it out i would supply a grand prize .

i have a few extra gh water farms

so the winner will win the water farm less pump and shipping.
i know i wont win but i will have fun just being involved..being a stay at home husband(disabled) is boooring and change is good

I went and checked, and my first HGK and PC clones have rooted! So another little while to veg and I'll be shipping out some pollen for some crazy ass crosses. And that also means I'll have proper plants for solo cup game.

Gave my PC another defol and pulled all her branches down a little more. Also gave each branch a little pinch to help strengthen them up. Doing everything I can to try and hit a pound. Get a little more confident she'll do it each passing day.

id like to get a clone off the strain hunters but that will take to long . if it was between a Hawaiian skunk clone or a new fem seed id go with the seed since i dont know if shes A she.. i have actually been itching for a dr krippling and wish i would have seen it before i bought my last order .

Might wanna get a seed popped now if that's the case, cause our clones are pretty much ready for flower right away, so yours will need time to mature. I think I'm more excited about the pollen making than I am of solo cup game. Hell, I'm excited just waiting for my new shipment of seeds to come in!

Yup. Still not sure of any rules yet since I've never done something like this, so unsure of any veg time or other criteria. We'll get it all ironed out in the next couple weeks

Other solo cup contests I've seen. Seed people get 2 weeks ahead of the clones. And clones get counted from the day there cut. Roughly 2 weeks till a clone starts growing. So that gives seed people a month to mature. So when we all flip to 12/12 we should all be flowering at same time.

And we will give a window of 12 weeks for everyone to finish flowering.

I think that lays that out nicely.

I had an idea too, the mods may not let me do this. But I hate unorganized shit. So I'm thinking I'll start the thread with rules and edit it as people enter the "race" we will call it. Then I'll reserve 12 posts below for every week. Then say every Saturday everyone uploads there pictures. Then I'll report say week 1 post and have it modified with everyone's pictures. And do that every week till done. That way if say Jim is busy all week and don't wanna go sifting through posts upon posts to find weekly updates. They will all be neatly organized on the first 12 posts.

That way people can post whatever they want. And the thread won't get pictures lost.

What do has y'all think of that? A bit of work but I don't mind. I'm going to message the mods and see if they will let me do this. Getting them to edit the corresponding post every week when I report it.
I'll probably announce this soon give people time to prepare.

Solocup race 2014.

And number one rule. So people don't cheat. Jerry rigged Dwc isn't allowed. Everything must be within the cup. I've seen people cheat on other grow sites. And that isn't a fare comparison. Can grow a monster in a solocup doing dwc because its circulated to another bucket. Be like us soil guys cutting the bottom out of 12 cups and stacking them filled with soil. And saying "its still a solo cup" lol

Use common sense for the rules. A solo cup isn't a solo cup with a 5 gallon bucket attached to it lol

And plain and simple anyone who does that just won't be accepted into the race

Well the Chernobyl smoked very nice it only takes a pinchy and starts with a nice smooth almost sweet diesel taste followed by a nice body buzz moving lightly to the head. The first 1/2 hour it seems like your in for the couch but after that it mellows for a nice relaxed buzz. Buzz time overall bout 2 hours and thats a guess cause I got up after a few and could still feel it in my body but had another pinchy.
PC and SB are coming shortly behind was having some humidity problems for a few days 80% + was fearing either mold or bud rot so put a dehumidifier in there with my girls and I swear must have sucked half the moister out of the buds LOL seemed like they got dense as hell though kinda crazy. But there still on flush just waiting on trichs to turn some amber.

Nice smoke report kola. Can't wait to see your PC and SB plants. My humidity stays in the 60's and 70's, but as long as theirs good circulation you should be okay, but the dehumidifier is a big help.

Hey stumped, it's it considered cheating to use a flowering clone? I know they're considered monster cropping, but don't know if that's against the rules

Contest sounds fun boys but I'll have to pass at the moment I only have flowering clones and there getting pretty old wouldn't be fair almost 3 weeks old and getting ready to explode. And things are gonna get busy I'm building a new veg room so I can have a separate flower and veg finally had to just stop fighting it but I might be going over the top with it I was thinking 12' x 8 ' with 2 - 4' 8 bulb t-5's is that enough light to cover the area ?. I'm tying the ventilation together a 6'' 420 cfm fan filling the veg room a 180 cmf booster fan pushing the air down an acme tube to my flower room 10' away to my 1000 hps room being vented out by a 8'' 720 cfm. Anyone thought or critic would be welcome don't wanna get too far and realize I overlooked something.
