My advice on mothers.... treat em like the scum they are... oh wait thats mother in law! hahahaha JK, my mother in law is great.

Someone told me to just take cuts of the VEG plants I'm putting into flower and take the cuts after the flip >20 days in flower less if they flower early. I take cuts @ flip and in they go. I do keep a mother around when I go on Vacay and take cuts ... just in case.

But those mothers will go into flower. Too much work keeping them around. Then just cuts from now on until next summer for me. The mothers I have are DT with 100+ day flower cycle. So can get backed up pretty quickly, then next round and cuts off plants I'm not sure about/never ran... can easily get 50 cuts going most of them not sure about and then mothers. Thats a full time job, and I don't have enough room.

Good to be selective but dont wanna be "that guy" that says "shoulda taken a cut".

That said I've always had mothers. Lost my Chem mom. Don't remember what happened, I think I forgot to keep cuts when I flowered the mother! :eek: Shoulda taken cuts. hahahaha Ah well still have 9 more seeds to go from original pack.:rolleyes:
 
Cloning ... keep everything CLEAN - tool you use to cut - disinfect with alcohol.

I'm back to putting cuts in a glass jar with water and maybe a little coconut water. Getting just as many rooted cuts that way than doing my cloner and a lot less work.

For a cloner you have to tear it down after every bacth and run bleach/water solution thru it over night to clean. If I dont do that, the next round % goes WAY down.

I'm using calmag with iron applied it once so far. And I'm hoping it's successful Joe!

Just straight into a jar of water!? Seems to easy! Might have to try it. Whats your success rate using that method?
 
I have a Dewey mister cloner I can use but I'm gonna go old school and stick them in a rapid rooters under a dome and see what happens.

Yeah I really like the rooters. Fill a tray with cuts. Drop a little water in the bottom and an air stone and come back a week or 2 later to a ton of rooted clones... I have cuts to take today also. Few friends want some stankberry.

The plants look good man. Some huge leaves there even with the bit of funk. Hope you find that keeper mom.have a great week bro

Waiting on a new dome right now, hopefully Thursday I can get some cuttings and and start spraying STS for some S1's.

So you clone then spray sts on the clone and force seeds?
