Do you pop a tap root before placing in your rapid rooters? Then just mist *until seed pops?
@Kingjoe83 I soak my jiffy pellets in warm water let them fluff up and squeeze out the excess moisture push a 1/2” into the top with a pencil or pinky finger, place seed, cover over with some loose peat. Make sure it stays moist until the seed pops and watch for tap roots. Once you see roots transplant over to your first pot !
You could use coco. Line the net pot with some fabric so the coco can't fall out into the res and treat it like you would normally with clay pebbles
I always just put the seed straight into rooters. Seems like it could be tricky trying to put a sprouted seedling into a plug without damaging it

That’s what I thought! I am going to try rapid rooters this time round. My friend gave me a couple to try so figured I should give it a whirl. He swears by them and he’s a converted jiffy puck user!
I've started in rooters and soil then moved to the DWC
Last run I had 15 net pots in a tub, ended up with all sprouted

I am getting ready to give DWC a whirl so we will see what happens.
How much air were you throwing at your DWC bucket? I have the same kit you started with but the pump seems way under powered and I don't think that one air stone is enough.
I actually baught mine at a local hydro shop
I used a Eccoair1, very quiet plenty of air, and a medium Air Stone
Those were my first grow ever KJ. Ms otter really goes for it when she need pain med. Nice taste, hard hitting, couch locking.

The Chem is 31 days old, I have Sunday off so I'll take my cuttings and maybe flip then. The girls got nitrogen deficient so I upped the feed yesterday. These plants are gobbling utes like crazy.
Chem #1 and #7 are doing great though.
Looks aweome!
