The Liberty Haze I grew was a freebie as well - buy any Barney's seed, get a free Liberty Haze seed. I will grow it again, eventually. I read about people having problems, but my grow couldn't have been smoother - strong structure early on, easy to train, big veg growth and overall size with lots of air and light to the bud sites. I have seen it likened to Sour D in effects, but I find it stonier than most Sour D I've had - it feels more like a balanced hybrid. The lime smell was there for a lot of flower, and the taste came out in the cure, and flavours the vapour really nicely. My buds were small in size but very dense, lime green and covered in crystal - grown under my old Viparspectra setup. If I have a complaint it's that it doesn't fit well for my needs: a little too strong a physical high for daytime use in my opinion (if you want to get anything done anyway) but a little headier than I like most evenings. Awesome for weekend afternoons or evenings, and for groups, because it's strong with a nice high. I would recommend it.
