PeeJay's Perpetual Organic Homebrewed Soil - Stealth Cabinet And Greenhouse Grow

Did a little prophylactic flushing on three of the plants this morning. Helen went through this three days ago and seemed to dig it. The big box of room-temperature pH 7 water works great for this.

First I use a bunch of the water in the box to water all the non-cannabis plants in the green house to drop the water level in the box. Then I put a milk crate in there for draining purposes.

Here's Colette taking a fifteen minute bath.

Colette drained well on top of the crate.

Colette budlin' shot just cause I was standing there with the camera.

All the plants have been top dressed with some nice soil builder and small amounts of some other goodies. That stuff will get watered in from the top tomorrow morning.

Along with a little high P guano, an even smaller amount of high N guano and some castings the top dressing used this stuff that I won't brand name or link. Here is what's in it:

Alfalfa Meal: Nitrogen; Vitamins-A, B, E, carotene, thiamine, biotin, pantothenic acid, niacin, riboflavin, folic acid, choline; 16 amino acids, co-enzymes, sugars, starches, protein fiber

Cottonseed Meal: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium

Kelp Meal: Nitrogen; Potassium; Vitamins-A, B, B2 , C, calcium, pantothenate, niacin, folic acid; minerals-barium, boron, calcium, cobalt, copper, fluorine, iron, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, sodium, strontium, sulfur, zinc; 17 amino acids
Greensand: Iron, Potassium, Silicate, Phosphorus, 30 trace elements

Rock Dust: Calcium, Sulfur, Magnesium, Boron, Cobalt

Rock Phosphate: Phosphorus, Calcium, Trace Elements

Humate: Salts of Humic Acid - improve soil characteristics and aids in releasing other nutrients to plants in usable forms

Dry Molasses: Carbohydrates, Sugars, Trace Elements - feeds and attracts beneficial soil organisms

Guaranteed Analysis
Total Nitrogen (N) - 2.0%
Available Phosphate (P2O5) - 3.0%
Soluble Potash (K2O) - 2.0%

Honestly, the whole measuring smelly liquids with a syringe thing just isn't for me. I hope to get away from it totally down the road.

Positively perfectly presented preposterously pretty princesses...everyone. (Did I get the LA thing down? LOL)
Peejay, as usual you have outdone yourself with the pics and information. Particularly the top dressing stuff.
Thank you! All this talk of screensavers going on in other threads, I looked at that first pic of the lady in the tent with the purple hue and thought what a lovely screensaver that would make. :)

An appealing and audaciously accurate assimilation of Addict’s auditory assemblage, Canna! Thanks for the props.

Could be many things, MC. Without seeing pictures and knowing what you've been doing there isn't anyway to troubleshoot. I looked at your profile and it doesn't seem like you have a journal going...

im having trouble starting a journal. new to this page im still at it give me some time. thanks and will be looking foward to your help when i get photo up

Checked on the Dark Star seeds this morning. I'll be damned if one of them doesn't think it's growing in a zero gravity environment. At first I thought it had sprouted. Closer examination showed that it wasn't the seed head that had broken ground. There was a root growing straight up out of the soil.

I carefully excavated around it down to the seed. It looked like there were two roots growing out of the seed, one going down and one going up. Funky. I reoriented what was there so the roots were buried. Don't hold out high hopes for this seed...

The Dark Star that was growing a vertical root may make it after all. She sprouted still wearing her seed coat (helped her shed it) and is still membrane bound, but is up out of the dirt. I've named her Grace in honor of her less-than-graceful entrance into the world.

Had two great Black Labs when I was a kid named Grace and Maude. It only seems right to name the two Dark Stars after those black dogs. Say hello to Maude:

Day 12 of flower for the two Mama Mias. Even though Colette gets less light and lower overnight temps, she is budding more aggressively than Helen.

Helen is going crazy. I tore down the reflective material in the cabinet because it wasn't hung tight to the walls. The walls are painted flat white anyway, and Helen needs all the room I can give her.

The two White Panthers are doing well. Dyarina is even growing two branches all of a sudden. Here is a shot her flowering action.

And lastly, I've come to a realization that you have to be pretty old to understand the humor behind my avatar and location.

So I guess that seedling will be some SUPER CREAMY cannabis.

Hey now....no need for foul language there "old timer"....

Plants are looking great. Maude has a very large yawn going on there. :thumb:

Been working towards the move away from bottled nutes today. I had a bin of ~ 30 gallons of Sunshine #4 mixed with a little FFOF and perlite - lots of myco inoculant, too. It's been a good mix. Youngsters love it!

Been reading up on high-brix, supersoil, etc. Decided to get some stuff and cook some dirt. The ingredient list for supersoil is quite long and a little intimidating. Here's what I got.

30 pound sack of worm castings.

It turns out you can't buy azomite where I live because it doesn't meet labeling standards. Instead I got Panca Source clay that has just about every micronutrient under the sun. I also got some Yum Yum mix which has all of this stuff in it:

Alfalfa Meal: Nitrogen; Vitamins-A, B, E, carotene, thiamine, biotin, pantothenic acid, niacin, riboflavin, folic acid, choline; 16 amino acids, co-enzymes, sugars, starches, protein fiber

Cottonseed Meal: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium

Soluble Potash (K2O) - 1.0%

I also had some rock phosphate on hand, and both Mexican bat guano 10-1-1 and Indonesian bat guano .5-13-.2

I saved a small bin of soil for seedlings and babies and split the remaining dirt into two separate tubs. One tub got the high N guano and the other the high P guano and rock phosphate. The higher N bin will be for veg. I'll transplant into the higher P soil before going to a flowering schedule. They are cooking away.

And, I have my first batch of tea going - Yum Yum mix, castings, a little of the high mineral stuff and a pinch or two of high P guano.

You're only as old as you feel and act, and I frequently act as impetuous as a five year old, as churlish as an adolescent, and feel like I'm no older than 35.
