PeeJay's Perpetual Organic Homebrewed Soil - Stealth Cabinet And Greenhouse Grow

You know, Canna, there really isn't much info out there on this strain. The breeder info only says that it is a dwarf variety, calls it "compact" and also suggests it is good for sog. Flowering is supposed to be 45-55 days. It's pretty fast. It is a cup winner from Amsterdam in 2000 or 2001.

I'm sure how tall it gets depends on the amount of time it veges. Roxy had an extra week of veg and is about 6" taller than Dyarina. Both plants are probably about done stretching. It'll be interesting to see how it fills out in flower.

It's sort of interesting to contemplate how well it would do with a three week veg in one or two gallon pots. In a space like yours you could probably run two deep and five across - ten plants. It would harvest in around 80 days assuming a three week veg, nine days after 12/12 to start flowering, and a 55 day flower period.

My White Panther is three weeks ahead of yours, and I'd have to agree that it could easily be a sub-90 day strain. It set pistils right on schedule at about 8 days into 12/12. I've finished a couple strains in under 90 days and they both yielded over 2 zips. If I like the produce from the WP I think I may try it on a 60 day veg/60 day flower perpetual cycle - that's really convenient for clones. A 90 day grow makes it hard to keep a strain from clones - kinda need mothers to keep up the schedule.

Graytail, I paid close attention to your last update and examined the WP you have going very closely. I didn't comment on it because I didn't want to draw attention away from the glory that is your Jamaican Dream. LOL! When can I swing by and pick up some JD clones?

I see many structural similarities that are common between your more effectively trained specimen and mine that is going strait up. Mine are packing it on very nicely and the sugars are getting frosty. My gut is telling me that the WP may be an underpublicized sleeper strain that fills a niche for those who grow multiple strains. I'm not a great note keeper. I'll have to go back and look for specific veg time. One of mine is a week to ten days longer in veg than the other.

I'm not seeing drastic phenotypical differences between the two I have going and yours. You can be assured that I'll be keeping an eye on yours. Well see what they do and how she smokes!

John Sinclair was a solid individual. Hopefully Ceres renamed a solid but somewhat forgotten strain after that icon. It pleases me that I have mine going in tandem will a very skilled and experienced grower. I'll get some flowering activity pics up in the next couple of days.

I got that three week number from a date you had for one of your pics, but now I realize that yours have been in 12/12 longer than mine, right (eleven days for mine today)? So I must have vegged mine 3-4 weeks longer?

Mine is showing some thick sturdy growth in early stretch. I knew it was a dwarf and I wanted a chubby one, but I dunno - she's puttin' on height pretty fast right now, too - she's running at almost 5 inches a week in her second week.

It's gonna be fun growing this one with you.

:high-five:

Everything is fantastic with me and the girls. I'm just bumping up against some work deadlines and curtailing my forum time so I don't get distracted. I'll update soon. There is some freaky stuff going on with Grace - the double root plant. Stay tuned.

As of today the two Mama Mias and one of the White Panthers have been flowering for three weeks. Tomorrow begins week four. The second WP is about 10 days behind the first. Here's White Panther Dyarina.

Dyarina broke ground on or close to the 15th of September. She only veged for three weeks before going to a flowering schedule. Like Graytail's WP it was right about eight days until she showed signs of flowering. She is looking very frosty after three weeks of flower.

Here's Helen after three weeks of flowering:

She's a very pretty plant and is putting on some bud weight.

Both Helen and Colette are getting nice and frosty. Here's a shot of one of Colette's flowers:

Even the fan leaves are shooting out trichs. Chech out the fan in the lower left corner of the photo. I'm guessing this is a good sign.

Here's a shot of Colette from the side.

Grace, who shot a root up in the air which I sorted out buy burying the root only to discover a second root continues to be strange. I didn't hold out much hope for survival. She ended up sprouting and is growing well but check this out...

She's putting out a second trunk. It's very tiny. When I first saw it I thought some random weed seed had blown into the pot. No, it's defiantly cannabis. Has anyone ever seen a plant do this before?

I had a plant send out a weak new branch from below soil level, but yours has caledon leaves - that's not a branch. Twins? Is there such a thing as two embryos in one seed? Like a double yoke egg? Hmm.

Great update! Those girls are looking scrumptiously glittered. :circle-of-love:
I've never seen any pics of another plant coming up like that. Almost like there were two seeds in there. LOL
It will be interesting to see how it develops for sure!
Reminds me of that movie, "Little Shop of Horrors" (the original version). The carnivorous plant had a bunch of little ones on it's trunk. LOL

A double yolker? As I recall one of the two Dark Stars was a very large seed. I'm not sure if it was this one or the other one. It really freaked me out when I woke up in the morning and thought that Grace had broken ground and then noticed it was a root growing up out of the soil. I was half asleep when I excavated down and discovered two roots growing out of the seed. I wish I'd taken pictures of it then, but I just wanted to get the exposed root under dirt as quickly as I could.

I don't know if plants can do a double embryo. I'm going to do some net sleuthing and find out.

I'm watching this one PJ! Grace the siamesse twin. You might have one for the record books here.

I'm confused, so her name isn't Grace?

I saw a few images on double tap root on google, and there are some posts about twins and double sprouts on those other message boards. Did you notice a double taproot when you planted them?

Yes Canna. One root was growing up out of the soil. I used the end of a pencil to carefully remove the soil around the exposed root and found that two tap roots were growing out of the seed. I buried the exposed one very cautiously and put the plant away. It broke ground around 24hrs later. The second sprout took about a week to show - complete with cotyledons. It is impossibly tiny compared to the set that usually sprouts from a seed.

I see, I wasn't sure how you set your seeds for popping. I put mine in the wet paper towel method so I see the taproots right away. However, there's nothing to say there isn't a little one lingering back to come out later. Twins do that ya know. LOL
Siamese...Siam for short...hmmm
