PB's Persistent Pot Condo: Established 2019

Yes lady bugs eat thrips like crazy, but I knew this guy that buys lady bugs at Costco every year, and gets them to breed, because lady bugs eat them yes, but the baby lady bugs eat them like crazy, they have a ferocious appetite to those thrips. He leaves them in a glass jar with no lid on near his plants, gets a stick that goes from the jar and on to the plants. Letting them come and go as they please and you can end up training them to stay in the jar but go onto the plant when hungry. Super neat system he had. For me to try and imitate it, I would have no idea where to start, but he swears by it.

A cricket loving reptile
I've got a backyard full of lizards,I'd mail you some of them if I thought they'd survive-
A bluebelly or 2 in that room, and your cricket problem would be over-crickets and grasshoppers are among their favorite things.

I love the idea of having your own little creatures hanging out around your plants to combat pests! So good haha :D

Not me thank you very much! All bugs and critters are allowed anywhere but IN MY GROW ROOM. I'm gonna go do a bed check.

All clear, but I'm not liking the smell in there. Gonna have to ditch at least that one cloth pot and pull the mylar down in the AM i think.

Hiya guys, thanks for asking! It's been a super busy week...this "work" thing isn't that enjoyable, but it's keeping me hopping. Plant's are doing great, no more crickets! Trichomes are mostly all milky, but I have to work to find any amber still. I think I might have given them their last drink of nutes, although I told myself that the last time I watered them and there continues to be much new growth on the buds so I gave them a drink of 25% again yesterday. I'd say we're going 5 -6 days between feedings, I'm probably pouring a gallon and a half through them and getting 4 cups of runoff. I'm down to Fox Farms Big bloom, Tiger Bloom, some Cal/Mag and I've added molasses to the mix also, probably for the last 3 feedings. I flaked out on changing the fungus ridden pot, doesn't seem to have gotten worse or spread though. It doesn't seem to like to get dry, which it did, so since there was no expansion I left well enough alone. I also didn't put in my vent yet, but no flak from the whif lately so that will happen when it happens!

Today is day 49 since 12/12, the oldest plant is 13 exactly weeks, the other two are 11 from sprout. We've come a long way haven't we!

So all's well in bloomville, and I gave all my clones away (not too far away, my good buddy is starting a outdoor with them!) which just leaves me with one more little project cooking in the veg room:

What in the hell am I gonna do with all this! These girls (2 could be boys) have been vegging for close to 2 months, I've got tops on and knuckles on my tops and knuckles! There's 3 strains going here, 3 LA Confidential clones, 3 fem'd unknown and two other could be males unknown. It's like a friggin jungle in there, I really need to do a trim but for the most part I've just been trying to keep the canopy even as possible.

Once the bloomers wrap up I'll spread them out between the two rooms and switch those to 12/12. This time I have a feeling I'm going to get some major height, these plants are already 18-24 inches. Oh and sorry for the burple, it's all I got in there. My Chinese express' and Frankenstien V.2 seem to be vegging good enough, but I don't think they'd fare well in bloom, it's pretty low intensity. I'm in the process of selling a project car I've been sitting on for a while, so I do hope to have the $$$ for another more substantial light in there soon.

So there you have it friends, the pot condo house party is raging on! Cheers, have a great week! :yahoo:

Those plants all look great,You've got this $hit down!
Man,you are going to have a crapload of smoke when all's said and done-you're going to need a wheelbarrow to move your stash around!
Good to have you back....that "work" thing can be a pain when it gets in the way of the "important" stuff....

Yeah that damn work thing is a drag sometimes.

Plants are looking great!

Like @carcass said your going to have a pile of product after all said and done. That being said, that’s an entire job on its own lol
Any plans on how your going to hang/dry and cure them?

What kind of a project car you talking about? Old school muscle?

Glad to see your back!!
:passitleft:

Thanks again, yes not quite sure on how or what I'll do with all this crazyness! I'll figure something out though lol.

OMG you guys have to see the plant my buddy is growing it's ridiculous!

That's a NY Diesel, 60/40 sativa/indica... the main cola leaing off to the right, as long and way wider as my friggin forearm! That's from a 10yr old seed, same ones I couldn't seem to get to pop when I started my second round of seeds. I gave this fellow all my clones, he's trying to germinate some more of these diesels for me in return. As if I need more little mouths to feed! :yahoo:

Hiya B I better think of this more seriously eh? Box method maybe? I could hang them from the closet rack? Full plant or just cuts strung up on string or something like we see here? Not sure, whats your suggestion?

1990 Volkswagen Jetta GLI, sweet little sporty thing with 16 valves and fancy "racing" interior. Took forever to sell, and i really only about broke even but got a few years drive time on it so I did ok. Got me some $$$ for lights!

Your friend's plant is awesome! I've never seen a plant with that many horizontal colas, and
that main one is just unreal! wow..
I just hung my cut-up plant in a doorless closet with a small fan across the room blowing in it's general direction,it's drying nice n slow...
Funny you sold a VW for grow funding-I've got a '62 ragtop bug that's going up for sale to give me the needed capital to eventually do this indoor thing "the right way"!

I was planning on hanging it in my tent, it had the carbon air filter so it was perfect. Not entirely. My GC took two in a half weeks longer then the BD so what I did is a took a cardboard box, with a garbage bag dropped over it to keep any light coming in. I took tie wire and made four or five rows with it going from each side. Hung the branches off of that. I dropped a small fan in the bottom to keep moving the air, but not pointed directly at them. I crumpled some news paper and threw it in as well, not sure if it did anything way at the bottom but it might have I don’t know. Stabbed holes in the bottom of the box and voila, had somewhere to hang. It made the entire house smell like weed for 5-6 days but it was worth it.

Just to give you an idea on something you could do. There is other ways of doing it, but this way in my eye was the most simple way, with what I had to work with.

Well SmokeSara is gonna be relatively please with me anyway...just bought 2 used 300's with a few burnt bulbs each and a used 700 in good condition, thats close to 500w of light for $156.54! It's gonna be mix and match, but that should give me enough light now to flower 12 plants. Woohoo!

I think I'm gonna pick up a cheap soldering station that will get 800 degrees also, doesn't look that hard to replace bulbs. @SmokeSara if I gave you positions of the led's that are out, can you tell me what replacements I need? He said they were still under warranty but I imagine it's not transferable. Cheers, it's a great Mars Hydro day! DYNOMITE!!! :yahoo:

Ok I've been doing some reading and I'm wondering what you guys think...I read that with Indica it's best to cut at clear just starting to milky to catch the glands at their peak instead of letting them cook too long if you want a more clear and cereberal psychoactive effect. I think I'm a bit past that, but not necessarily at couch lock amber yet. I'm not interested in CBD or going to sleep...so take a look at these and tell me what you think. By bob, I think I might be there!

It's pretty much the same all over, mostly milky, some clear, a few amber here and there. This LA Confidential is LA Affie and Afghani, pure Indica strain. Today is day 50 since 12/12. Holy Crap! I'm thinking flush and and yank!

If that's the concensus, I better read up on the flushing process! I just watered them with 25% nute about 3 days ago.
