Panama x Malawi - Probiotic & Organic Indoor Soil Grow

Great double effect as well. The ATF will give him great pain relief (potentially assuming what pains he might have) and the Durban is great for energy and mood. Hopefully both effects will carry over into the cross.

Hey Fert.....try them DTF seeds. ATF x Durban Poison.....gotta be a good sativa man!

Yeah I was just looking through what I had and was thinking about those. I remember seeing your pics and it looked amazing.

I have a lot of back pain that it would be great for I'm sure based on reading your journal, but I also have a lot of stomach/bowel discomfort I'd hope it would help. Otherwise something to fight off the depression/anxiety/PTSD/OCD... I'm kind of a case of alphabet soup over here. OH yeah ADHD.

This is what I've got seed wise...

So, lots to choose from.

Just went to go check on my soil mix today. There's flies in it! :( More flies than in the vermicompost, which is just, weird... I amended with oyster shell and neem cake the other day too so the fact there's flies around in it is bizarre.

Getting some nice mold growing though, so that's a nice sign. Not sure what to do about the flies getting in there though :/

Drop two of em brother. You know you have an endless supply of them if they don't pop.
Plus they will likely be your fastest finishing sativa

Suuuhwweeeet. Yeah I've got some of the ATF getting ready to plant today. Probably just going to use the soil from the backyard, it's not bad stuff. It germinated seeds last year, I just made the mistake of making a seedling tray out of egg cartons and the material totally wicked out and killed them. So hopefully with the plastic tray and dome this year they'll be fine. Both of these outdoor are gonna be monsters I know it.

That Romulan x Blue Dream looks really interesting.

Dang that does sound like it would be good... But I actually meant Romulan, and Blue Dream CBD. They were given to me but a couple buddies though so not sure what they are for sure. He insists the Romulan is female because it has a volcano ass. I'm planning on popping it just to see.

Romulan should have a grape and pepper taste, fairly potent. Good old school strain.
That's a great description. I had a pre-roll of it out of a store the other day and really liked the taste. Wasn't shabby on potency either.

The Ghost Train Haze I got came out of a bag from the store that was rated at 30% so I'm pretty curious to try some of those.

Gnats or flies? @Bonsaiweed what was the bacillus you recommended for the gnats?

Yes for fungus gnats.

BT knocks them out

I would think it's the oyster shell attracting the flies. They were probably not clean when ground.

I'm thinking .....Ewwwww

I can tell you what I would do....I would seriously consider starting vermi composting. Cheap....just need a big container if you do it indoors or the space if you do it outdoors. Will give you a great base starting soil.

I know that doesn't fix your current issue, but it will set you up for better runs in the future.

This.. ^^^ and go with option C ... do you can amend with some other goodies?? Whats on hand?

Gather what's local,
You will be surprised.
Your plants will love you.

Vermicomposting is a life long pursuit, there are others that are local that will not only lend you a hand and likely will share too.. It's garden out there, Yaaay us.

How to reach out?

Call local community center, the foggies know some shit bro... its a thing. (and connected).

I'm not quite sure they look a little big to be gnats, but they don't quite look like flies. Both their wings kind of fold over one another, instead of offset from each other like a regular flies.

I went with option C, and then split the volume up into two. I got some worms from Blew and I have been putting fruits and veggies into there. I noticed the pH was super high, so I amended the non-vermicomposting bin with 2 cups of oyster shell flour and 1 cup of neem cake. Checked the pH today and it's down to 7, and there's some mold starting, so I'm not sure how much more hospitable it's going to remain for the flies/gnats or whatever is going on for long.

Well, interesting little find today... This was on one of the plants I had sprayed with CS, but I really doubt the CS worked. It was the Panama x Malawi #2 cut. Last time around my Panama x Malawi #3 had some mysterious seeds, so herhaps this is where they came from.

I may be harvesting sooner than I expected to, though maybe not by choice. These leaves on the Panama x Malawi #5 are starting to yellow up by the buds, so I'm not sure how long they'll keep growing green or what's gonna happen with them.

Anyway, wanted to get some more comparison shots of the tents and the plants' growth in each...

315 W CMH w 5 Gallon Pots

200 W T5 w 3 Gallon POts

It's pretty amazing how much the plants are filling in under only 200 W of light.

Meanwhile, the little Jack Herer is definitely going to need to get some space made for it or propped up closer to light the light or something...

Took some close-ups of the buds today too...
