Wow - I'm gone a week, and I feel like I missed so much. First of all - I'm really sorry to hear you had to have surgery, but I sure hope it helps you out a bunch. After getting caught up today I was struck by how much we have in common. I can't tell you how much I wish you well in every regard, as I can empathize with a lot of what you have endured the last couple of years. Hang in there brother, and take care of yourself first and foremost. :goodluck:

The ladies look stunning, and that is a picture perfect LST tutorial you have there. LOVE the trich shot in your most recent update. :cheertwo:

First off...thank you for that post, you are a really good guy. It is amazing to me how people like you and many other members here, are such good hearted and decent human beings. I have never seen or have been on a forum with as much heart, humor, compassion, knowledge or kindness as 420 Magazine. If I stopped growing today...I'd still be back tomorrow :Namaste:

My surgery went great and I'm healing pretty quick. This is GOOD pain now!

Oh yeah...I feel ya on catching up and I'm here everyday :) There are way too many freaking awesome things to see here!

Man today was cool! I needed to get out so I went over to my favorite hydro store to say high and while I was there the owner and I were talking and a rep from Hydrofarm showed up. We were all shooting the shit about whatever and the mention of a new 750W HPS light (I'll get some more info on it). Then the rep went out to his car and came back with some stuff and then he hands me a t-shirt and a pair of Fiskar Micro-Shears!!! Sweeeeet! Then the shop owner hooked me up with some SNS 203 and some AN Overdrive. :cheertwo:

Honestly, the best thing I got there today was a compliment from the shop owner, He said he couldn't believe how good my plants look and that he loved my light fixture. That's still so crazy to hear.

Ditto - Congrats man on the freebies! I never seem to score the freebies when I go to the hydro store. Whaddupwitdat? Actually they did cut me a pretty great deal on stuff last time I was there - just not as exciting as freebies! :)

Nice score on the freebies, DIME! I mean, the compliments on the plants and light you can get anywhere, but that's like $40 worth of stuff you can really use - and I hear nothing but great things about the AN Overdrive! I'm gonna start my plants on it on the next res change (only use last two weeks before flush!).

That being said, since I don't have $40 worth of freebies for you, I thought I'd tell you how much I like your light and how nice the plants are! :)

It's been moving real fast! I'M having trouble keeping up :)

We always talk about going to Hawaii :cheertwo:. I have fond memories of Maui a long while ago. Spent a week there at a time when I had disposable income :rofl: I did everything I could think of that trip... Snorkeling with sea turtles, deep sea fishing, helicopter tour and ate everything I could find in Lahaina. Maybe our paths will cross one day my friend... I'd love for you ALL to meet her, she is truly inspirational.

This is a first for me, I was almost in shock when I left. I must of said thank you 10 times in five minutes :) A good deal is great too... when I go in somewhere ready to buy, I'm ready to buy. A discount is always gravy!

I was really blown away by the gifts, my original budget is now a small object in the rear-view mirror of the vehicle I call my grow. These are those cool little extras I would have had to hold off on buying right now but am very exited to try out! :party:

Has anyone had any experience with AN Overdrive? I was going to give it a shot but I was just wondering if there's anything I should be careful of. I thought Hydrologist or Heks was using it but can't remember.

I'm trying to get some more info on the AN Overdrive it got. If it does what I was told these buds should explode with growth... I think I'm going to use it next feeding which would be around Wednesday of this coming week (week 5), so I have time to do the research, but would love to hear from those of you that have used it.

Start your Overdrive two weeks before final flush when you start lowering PPM's. It looks to me like you have more than three weeks left to harvest, so I'd wait another week or two, IMHO. In fact, I'm not starting the Overdrive on my AK until my next res change and she's at 63 days of 12/12 (something like 7 weeks of flower.). Since the Haze will finish later (sativa), I'm gonna keep her on her bloom nutes for another few weeks before she gets some Overdrive.

Thank you Mr! That's some good info and I agree with you... I think the label says to use at week 5 and 6 but I think the label directions are more for an 8 week flower :) The grower I got these clones from said they are a 60 day flower, but he is using HID lights and a different nute schedule. I'm only guessing but I think I'm looking at around 5-6 more weeks (9-10 total weeks) til harvest. Holding off another week won't be so bad...I've got the Budswel to keep them happy ;)

Exactly...I think most nute schedules are based on a 4-week veg followed by a 7 week flower (with week 7 being a flush).

For veg, you're increasing PPM's each week.

If you look at the flower schedule, you basically increase PPM's through week #4 then start lowering PPM's in weeks #5 and #6, the flush in week 7.

When I spoke to AN (I'm using a BUNCH of their nutes!), they told me that if I needed to veg longer than four weeks, simply maintain the week #4 veg nutes until I'm ready to flower.

And, if I needed to flower longer than seven weeks, I should maintain week #4 flower nutes (the highest PPM's in flower), then start reducing two weeks before the flush (as described in weeks #5 & #6).

It's in that Week #5 (or the equivalent week you start lowering PPM's, two weeks before flush) that you start the Overdrive.

Further, I'm using AN's Big Bud, which I'm guessing is the equivalent of Budswell. I was told that when I start the Overdrive to STOP the Big Bud (but continue the Bud Candy).

BTW...this is exactly what sparked the big debate on my journal as to how I can identify when I'm three weeks before harvest, cuz' that's when to change the nute regime! :)

Some of the best guidance I received was from BlueDog, who posted pictures of his AK at different phases of flowering, along with my recognizing that the tendency is to harvest too early, which I wanted to be careful not to do.

I know BlueDog's pics are on page 37 (since I refer back to them all the time! Thanks, Blue!) so, I suspect starting a few pages before then.

Yeah Krip I gatta say after reading that article you sent me on waiting to harvest until the perfect time and makeing sure to wait until the hairs are ALL orange and sucked in dude thats exactly what I needed to hear! As I may have mentioned before we harvested sandra at day 60 of flower and I had always felt and had wanted to keep her going atleast until day 70 but again...that was a co op grow and thats why I'll never do another co op grow again!!!
(1 bad captain is better than two good ones)

But yeah this time im definetly going to wait until she looks absolutely ready to harvest! and thats when I'll switch her to clear PH'd water and flush her for 5 days and then boom cut her! Today is day 49 so should be soon!
