This fooooker I'm using is like 68" long lol. It's got a plastic cover round it for water proofing so NO heat escapes either. Seems to be doing the job though. My son just text to say he's got us another 600w HPS sorted :) So we'll have 4 x 600w HPS and the 400w MH for the grow :) HAPPY DAZE :peace:
 
I got 2 at the moment and they seem to be doing my 5 little ladies wonders !

But I had the same idea as you and was guna have like 10 of em on that homemade reflector I made :)

I think these specific cfl's are a little on the red side of the spectrum but never the less, the little ladies seem to be growing and beginning to veg pretty damn fast !

Faster than my previous crop and they were done with a proper 125w vegging light !

That's an insane amount of sun god hps power 2.8kw
Some ppl here shoot for 1lb per 1000watt!
2.8kw at my electric prices would be 34p per hour or £4 a day on 12/12 or £6.50 per day on 18/6
That's going off 13p per kW
I'd be tempted runnin 1000w during veg which I think would be ample but of course the more the better lol bringing it in at £2.35 per day for veg

But that's just me lol I'd be counting penny's lol u might not be

Yes mate, A LOT of wattage going on there :) That said, my son just here with the "extra" 600w HPS and it's dead! FOOOOOK :( So, plan A it is....3 x 600w hps and 1 x 400w MH. To be honest mate, I'm watching the pennies too BIG TIME :) But I'm also thinking I want to give it my best shot. Hopefully the electric wont be too heavy. What do you think I'll be looking at? 3 x 600w hps + 1 x 400w mh, 1 x 8" extract fan, 1 x 6" inlet fan, 2 x 2kw fan heaters, 1 x LARGE oscillating fan and the portable air con unit. 5 weeks of 18/6 and 10 weeks (guessing) of 12/12? It's ok, I'm sitting down lol
 
Lights lights and more light, I do love my light! Oz with that much sun your going to get huge weights. I reckon we can get you a POTM no worries! Your girls should easily surpass Gert! With topping earlier than me (as now I believe I know the optimum time to top)and being able to give more room and more light I really do see some awesome beasts coming your way soon!
 
Well things running constant lights on =
Lights 3x600 +400 = 2200watts or 2.2 kW ---------------veg =£36pw or £180 for whole veg------ flower £24pw----£240 for 10 week flower

Fans --- 150 way between them 24 hours----3.6kw. Per24hours....£28 for veg n about £50 for flower
Heaters oz well let's hope u don't need them much :) they're expensive
Also can't work out air con don't have wattage or hours of use

£420 for lights
£78 for fans
£498 all in that's without heaters
Heaters cost around same as ur lights

Mate, I have no aspirations to have a POTM although it would be nice :) As I've said many times, if I (we) can achieve HALF of your awesome growing I'll be on cloud 9 :)

Cheers mate. Was budgeting around the £500 mark so that doesn't phase me too much :) Had one of the fan heaters on constant but low since I first "dunked" the seeds 8 days ago lol :)

Lol. OHHHH PRAISE THE SUN GOD :adore: Its so fooooking cold at present mate that I NEED the heater to keep it up into the 80s lol. When those lights kick in I'll switch the heaters to fan mode to get the girls dancing :) . They're looking pretty fit and healthy at the mo :) :slide:
