Outdoors IKLWA And Cherries Dubelee In MA

Ahoy me bro,
Fine looking plants you are tending to. Not sure how well I would sleep with them outside.
Me second SIP run has hit some ugly luck, but not the containers bad! Mine...

I heard from our brother out west that you have vegged under a mega light. Is this true?
The RSO run used the mega light in veg because of its large footprint I needed to cover all the unsexed plants.
The stalks man... thick thick thick.
Thinking this might be a real good thing.

Take care

Ahoy brother! I have used it for vegging and it does make a nice healthy plant!

Have you tried the 12/12 from start for 10 days then immediately going to 18/6? I sexed my 4 current gals in 20 days from start accurately. It's doc'd in the beginning of this journal. Changed my attitude a lot when it comes to regular seed growing. The original time is said to be 30 days from starting 18/6. I got lucky and lit them with 600 ppfd and think that helped with a faster sexing?

So hey I have a Northern Stank in SIP! My first. She's growing faster than I could have imagined a plant could!

Stalks in a SIP are incredible! Don't fight them  go with the flow!

Never heard of this method. Does it add 10 days to the overall grow? Did you see pistols and balls? How has this changed your thinking about regular seed stock?

Please, you have perked my interest.

Ok so I planted the seeds for a four different cultivar grow plus one. If I wet three seeds each to be sure I get a female of each that makes 15 plants to grow to sexing age which if left to themselves can take forever. I'm running my lights for months waiting for pistils to pop.

I'm also dodging the solo to one gallon pot ups. 15 of them. It can take months to see pistils at 18/6 now. So one gallon pots may need a push to 3 gallon. You see now.

So here's what happened. The seedling comes up at 12/12 for 10 days. After that 18/6 is set and The Rev, who wrote it says, in 30 days they will show sex. My plants showed pistils in 10 days of the 30 he talks about. So the seedling is only 20 days old now and I know it's female for sure. I gave them 600 ppfg PAR then.

I won't say it adds to the grow because they are regs. I'd say it cut's time off by a lot and kept me in a solo for the next move. No wasted males grown. I didn't see balls but irregular bumps instead of pistil hairs on the males. It's been working for me and others here. Gee Keffka for two. Keffka brought it to our attention.

We must revisit a previous conversation when we spoke of the stock of beans in my fridge. After hearing your news today, I am excited to put the method to task. So my corrected answer to your question is "hell yeah" and please take a request (from your brother he he) to ensure the strain we call Nothern Stank has adequate strain protection as you created a paramount strain.

Sending the good karma out east to watch over your exposed plants. ooh

Oooooh! this N Stank is off the hook vegging! She's been running the show all along. The rest have barely kept up compared to her. They made it though, I was concerned they'd be stunted. Not at all now! We can't wait to lite her on fire for the first time after your compliment!

Ok, I hear you. I'll see what I have :) , talk later.

MAKING BUD UPDATE

Saturday morning watering and some pics of these buds just beginning! Good day folks! We're into a few rainy days here but they need real water now. So unless a couple of gallons get rained a day I'm out there watering and giving them a critical look.
Some bud pics today. They're here! I'm going to pollinate one next time we get a few nice days in a row! 5 weeks gestation is the goal.

Here's Cherries DubeLee with the more advanced looking buddage.

And ILKWA is right along!

Have a great day!

Love those thin leaves. Flowers are coming.

Highya SO,

Love the Cherries Dubelee putting out the bud! She's going to be loaded!! She was a huge lady! ILKWA buds are just starting to show/form. I still have 3 Stankberry Purple phenos without any pistils yet. I thought they were indicas. I'm hoping they're a fast finisher. Have a great weekend!! Happy Smokin'

Those are a couple of beautiful giants, Stone! They're not just tall, but have a great shape and great color! :welldone:

Cherries D is very busy! She's the most plant yet for me unless ILKWA kicks in and she just may!
Stankberry goes 63 to 70 days indoors. She's a balanced cross Stank and I think. Not a couch locker and she won't keep you up if you do some before bed. For me anyway. We just had a bowl an hour ago and I'm up and doing stuff now, well until I sat to do this. It's tea time. I finished one out in the yard. It was a good yielder too, would have hit a key but I had a lot of bud rot. No PM. A pound and a half if memory serves.

Hey Beez, thanks! Bud time is fun time!

OUTDOORS WITH ILKWA AND CHERRIES DUBELEE UPDATE, GETTING BUGGY TIME

Hello and happy Friday! We're on the edge of a holiday here, the last hurrah of summer! Time for a look at buds! They're both in the thick of flowering now and both have come down with what my friend @Trala calls nits, and I'm about to wash them away with some nit wash! Some Safers Insecticidal Soap. That'll go on every 4 days until I see they have left town! Thank's to @InTheShed for the safers soap info a while back! Last year it worked a charm and I couldn't taste any negative flavors in my bud!! :bravo:

Cherries DubeLee is least affected

ILKWA is most affected. About 10% of the plant is seen to be speckled with nits! But not for long! They started in the bottom shady side and are working their way around.

Have a great day! Smiles are free!
