POLLEN COLLECTING AND DRYING UPDATE

Hi all, so I went in for a shake with this paper plate. Just taking the open looking sacs and bending them over the plate with a skewer and tapping about. It's pretty damp and needs to set for a day in lowish rh conditions. I'm at 60% and that's the top number so I'm good.
Freshly tapped with pod remnants.
And I tweezed them to let it sit over night.
That pile is enough pollen to make a zillion seeds right there! One or two more times and This will be behind me. It's nerve wracking having this guy in my shed and accessing him hoping I don't let his pollen fly! My ladies are 150 feet away so I have to end this soon! Then the showers and clothes changes to remember for my tent dwellers safety. Timing is an issue now.

Now I can see something!

My buddy came over today and shot me between them. I'm surprised at their size! It's cool to have perspective!
I'm topping them next year! :p You won't get me up there! Maybe one or two rungs and that's it!
Wow Stone!o_O They're both beasts!:adore:

I always kept my pollen in the freezer and manually applied on small patches with a q-tip. Looking forward to see what the offspring may be!

You could spray down the girls with water just before and after you shake things up with the male to minimize pollen transfer. You'll probably do that anyway when you go to spread the pollen.
That's the plan Azi. Just one bud each and without seed best I can the rest.
Guess you gotta get that axe sharpened.
I don't often see such big plants in such good health.
Honing an edge is one of my things Lerugged. I'll chop them down like I eat a cow. One bite at a time. Let's get to the end of September to mid October first for these I'm thinking. There's still bud rot season to get through!

They got big for having almost no sun for the first half. Nature is cool! I should learn not to doubt nature.
Congratulations on the pollen harvest bro! Exciting times / slightly nerve wracking for you 😂 safety first! 🤞🤞🤞
Thanks Greenvein, just a bit. I took a second shake yesterday and I'm thinking of wrapping it up at that. There's an overwhelming amount of pollen in there that I'm going to water spray down and bag off the property before accidents happen.

Hi Wastei, that's where it's home will be. The pollen will make f2 Cherries DubeLee on one and I'm also looking forward to seeing how it goes with a bud on IKLWA!
Congrats on the excellent pollen haul Otter. Now you can dance with the cannagods and make magic happen.
Thanks! We're both dancing with them right now Carmen! :yahoo:Shake it up!

Highya SO,

Wow! The biggest lady is almost twice as tall as you are! Beast mode! Lovely ladies!! And all that pollen!! Enough to last a lifetime. You don't do anything halfway!! Happy Smokin'

Now that I see pistils I'm liking them a lot more even! I'm thinking @GeoFlora Nutrients has to do with the size of these ladies! That and the sun's back! :woohoo:

Being in the ground is what’s giving them their size, unlimited root space, it’s their favorite! The Geoflora and the myco network are giving them their health. They look great!

Yo yo! Looking amazeballs up in here!

She has no skunk smell because she is a landrace with no other genetics. She isn't overly stinky. Towards mid flower you should start picking up some scents of pine, earth and maybe a little mint. She isn't dull but she isn't like these modern hybrids that smell like skunky bubblegum farts or whatever.
Also can't wait to see how she stacks for you.

The dominant note I got was lemon cleaner but it could be pine soil with a touch of mint!

Highya SO,

I and my ladies are glad to have the sun back!! Happy Smokin'
