Our Ongoing Grows

I love these guys. They come with saucers and have a spring-like mold on the bottom with the drainage that when pressed, pushes the rootball right out of the pot, and they're obviously reusable.

What is your routine for spraying and does it kill the hemp mites?
Hemp mites are the worst things you can get.. First they are small. I mean small. Sure you can see the bigger ones with a scope, but is different stages/sizes. They can fit when liquids can go, unless you manually rub them in.. They can winter over in soils infecting next years grow. And they even bore under plants skin. Places like where a leaf meets the stem,, little pocket right there. I've just threw away crops because of these. And being so small it's easy to transfer. And by the time you figure out you got them,, you got them..

I use Green Cleaner. I use that all the time,, from PM to Hemp mites. But you can remove as much leafage as you can and them I spray the plant with enough to get it dripping off the leafs, then I take my hand circle the branches and spray as I run my hands up exposing the bottoms of the leaves and rubbing is the spray at the same time. And make sure the top of the soil gets sprayed too. I spray with green cleaner then 2 days later I spray with safers soap the same way, then 3 days with the green cleaner. That should kill off spider mites,, but never hurts with one more after 3 days. To be sure. Hemp mites are a different story.

Even if you don't have mites,, a wash with safers sure makes a plant happy... clean off any old residues. Wet the plant, spray, then rinse off with plain water10-15 minutes later. Of course when in veg.

Hey thanks people's for the well wishes.. We'll see what they have to say.. Keepem Green

I still can't believe I've never had an infestation. I think the key is 2nd story growing. I'm sure I've had a few here and there, but never had to do anything. I had a dog near my grow for years and now I have cats that walk past the unfiltered inlets and still nothing. Maybe up here in PA there are no bugs, IDK, but I never had'em.

Easiest way to get bugs is bringing in clones. Always start from seed to be safe. Sometimes folks have bugs and don't know it till they are overrun with them. They pass them on without knowing

Dare I say that I feel left out? I'm sure I've had a bug or two, but they're yet to breed and infest my grow and I've been growing for many years, all on the 2nd or 3rd floor, and still no sign of them. I even had a stint where I tried to reverse engineer the Brix kit, so had a lot of organics in play, and still no bugs.

are you back to salts sky?

yeah, I've been back for about a year. I gave it my best when trying to recreate the Brix kit, but when I noticed my plants shrinking and the deficiencies starting to creep up on everyone, I had to revert. It was a convenient transition as the Brix soil is built from Pro Mix and I now use Faux Mix (homemade ProMix) it was as simple as no0 longer feeding my best guess DB drenches and feed them like it was rockwool.
