Our Ongoing Grows

This is Black Gold Potting soil,, which I almost never use. I use the Black Gold Organic mix. Yea it gets alittle scuzzy being wet and warm 24/7 in the black pots.. And they are crawling with good microbial fungi I've added. Once I top off with fresh soils and I don't keep it as wet all the time,, it's not a problem.. But you do have me thinking,, these are the first seeds I started in these soil.. Isn't any nurserys open yet for my regular soil, so I settled for the potting mix.. Was all I could find... They do, I flower plants in 5 weeks that way.

Myself I can never tell if it helped mine.. I have plants all different stages in my flower room as a rule,, so I always just stay with 12/12. I hear alot do well with that diminishing lighting regiment. I've not really been able to try.. But hey,, if it works,, don't fix it.. And if it's working for you,, cool.. Alot of things people say things help with finishing your plants, like 48 hours dark before harvest. If it helped,, I can't tell. Might have if I had tested it for thc content,, but as far as I can tell from looking at them and looking for changes,, their change wasn't all that much.. Now if I was pushing for a cup or some award that tests your herbs,, I'd try pulling out all the stops.. But I like to keep my flower room a constant cycle.
Whatever works my friend... Keepem Green

It does make sense... i flipped to 12/12 last Saturday and the first four or five days tiny pistils growing, only got down to 70 each night. Past couple nights got the temp down to 68 and 66 then bam almost 1/2" pistils out of no where. Cooler temps definitely seem to help from what ive read and seen with my ladies.

You know it wood make sense you could accelerate your plants into speed mode with a diminishing light schedual. Plants are acclimated to start flowering at different time for different areas. Ever wonder why some breeders claim she's a 8-week finisher that will be done mid-Sept, and have another that's a 9-week finisher that won't finish till mid-Oct...? A month later than the 8 weeker.. Some need them extra short days to kick over.. I never get 16 hours a day light. Like 15 1/2 at most. When my plants go out to veg they have 15 hours a day and waning shorter.
But it wood make sense playing with lighting should kind of slap her around alittle and tell her to hurry up??? Makes sense to me. Wood be interesting experiment if a person had the extra space for a comparison grow. And more giggy up and go than I have left.. But if you play around with food, light, and temps, I'd bet it wood beat a straight 12/12 lighting... Hard to say without using all the same clones from the same mother for all the test plants. I'll leave that up to them with more time and monies to play arounnd with. It might help just when your doing a complete flip of a room rather than plants of all ages.. Keepem Green

I'm in trouble now.... They are opening a new casino just across the river from here.. And a friend, one I've been supplying clones for years and he does Miss J's nails, his 'Old Lady' is a dealer and is transfering there.. And they offered Miss J to come to the family and friends,,, before they open, opening... Well Miss J was all over that... Ofcourse... But hey least it's alot closer than all the others.. But I wonder if they are going to sell good fireworks.. Pretty damn big too... Least we won't be stuck on a cruise ship with slots that won't pay for shit, and overcrowded blackjack tables.. Oh well shit happens..

You know after your comment Cannoisseuras, you got me wondering if maybe the soil was something to do with the loss of acouple of them seeds.. The only soil I had on hand was Black Gold Potting soil.. Now it has a starter charge of fertilizers in it,, and I had amended it with my regular amendments. Even tho they are all organic.. Wonder if I helped kill them.. I say helped because they were alittle 'odd' when they cracked.. Well I had to ger another bag of the same,, they hadn't gotten their spring shipment yet at the corner nursery. I need atleast 8 2 cubic foot bags,, to start... I generally replace my soils,, cept acouple gallons of a kicker culture in the bottoms of my big pots. Well bigger pots over 35 gallon.. Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day out there.. Well Jgrowlove I do flush.. About 7 days before harvest.. I use some clear-x enough to fully soak the soil till I get a fair amount of runoff.. Clear-x does lash onto the salts and release them from the soil.. From what I hear alittle citric acid works to.. But I'm not sure what's what.. I let them soak in that for an hour or so.. Then I like to run 7-8 gallons of water thru per 5 gallons soil. I got these really neat little like 18'X36" plastic tables at Rite-aid for like 15 bucks, 2 plants fit perfectly in them and is so much easier when inside. Put a 5-gallon bucket underneath. But then after acouple days she should be almost dry, I run the same water amounts thru again. From then on I add 10 mil per gallon of molasses and water regular till harvest. Myself I don't think you need 2+ weeks in flush mode.. I'd rather keep them flowering with proper nutrients that extra week.. My herbs been coming out pretty tasty and burns a pretty clean ash.

You got that right.. The internet has changed everything.. I'm not the sharpest person but I've always enjoyed learning.. Man what we have access to in the ways of information is just wow.. Before we only had books,, and what the TV wood show.. Man it was easy to mass brainwash people with such a limited public media. Look what limited media did for Hitler.. I mean alot of things people didn't know better.. They all knew right from wrong tho.. But just saying, now the NET.. Only acouple places with such limited media nowadays. North Korea.. I wonder how many people even have a phone let alone a cel phone with internet. I bet you'd get shot..Oh well,, is what it is..

But when I was a newbie growing my first plant I remember having this little plant on my patio. It was a tall scrawny plant growing in dirt I scaped up from the bushes out in front of our apartment complex,, and it started producing all these little white hairs popping out on the top.. I thought I did something wrong.. Wasn't anyone to ask,, except the library, and wasn't much there either acouple B&W drawings and a paragraph.. Hightime Magazine came out acouple years later.. Man, I bought the first copy, and damn near everyone since. Matter a fact I got boxes stacked under my card table in the office'. But I got lucky and met this 'Older Hippy' from Clearlake Ca. He kind of took me under wing alittle.. Showed me how to grow and sex plants etc. Nothing to much, but what we now call the basics.. And afew tricks he called them,, and here now I can find out that he had truths in alot of his odd practices.. But now, we got places like here,, one can damn near get a Ph.D. in Botany from closet growers. From tissue cultures to feminized seeds.. If the rest of the agricultural world wood keep up with the speed marijuana evolution is going,, there woodn't be one single hungry person alive.. 10-pound grains of rice.. But the truth to that is marijuana agriculture is a new field.. Going to be ALOT of improvements real fast, and then it will hit a plateau... I think the pharamcutilcule companies are going to go crazy with all the new compounds. They might not like the fact we can grow alot of our own meds,, but no telling what compounds they might be able to isolate from it.. I'm babbling allready.. But if ever is anything I might be able to help with,, yell out... 420 is a great site for that.. I've been around alot of the others,, and most have 13 year old kids acting like this and that causing drama and being disrepectable.. I do enough of that for all around... least acting like a 13 year old...

Yea it sure is.. Made me think back at our camp we had where we use to mine at.. Some might know,,,Place called Dutch Flat,,least that was the closest post office.. We were on the bear river, dredging placer gold, like 15 miles to the closest telephone pole. Way the hell out there,, about 3,500-foot elevation. As the crow flies,, 10 miles WNW of highway 80 outside of Sacramento. To say we had a primitive campsite,, was an overstatement... But to flush,,, grab a shovel.. But We always made a good shit hole shovel TP, for the season,, till the city of Dutch Flat, 15 miles upriver,, started dumping more sewage into the river.. That year the 5 of us up there needed to dig 3 new shitters and wasn't enough TP at the 'local store'' cool little store,, they wood even extend alittle criedt to the local miners. And they got paid with gold over money. I paid my bills there on the same scale with either gold,, or bud.. But flushing?? We all got alittle dysentery... Man,, I wondered why the bright white quartz gravels we've had in the river the last 5 years,, all have alittle algae on them.. Well,, it took a week to figure out to leave the riverwater alone and damn up a spring for drinking water... The gold mining was great,,, was times we found damn good gold,, even if it was selling for 350 an oz.. We had alot of 10 and 15 oz days and we had a blast,, partied our asses OFF... And while we gold mined,, we had made a reservoir on another spring up the mountain which fed tubing down to out pot plants. Southern exsposer on these mountains was a growers dream.. SO in that area,, you best have a reason to be out there, if your going to be out there enough time to grow a crop.. Cops aren't stupid. Well, some are,, but anyways you get the idea.. We were paid acouple vists by both fish and game and the sheriff,, both landed with helios on the big gravel bar down on the river.. But we was really operating a working dredge camp.. So they kicked it, looked at our dedges and licc. Then we showed them 4-5 oz's of nuggets which got them to smile abit.. Offered both of them a beer and they refused, but later the F&G officer came back and had a beer or three one evening. He wanted to help pan some considtrates we had in a bucket. He was cool.. 2 ridges over we had about 100 plants. They were all 8' tall.. Well spread out garden. Anyways Jandre you brang all that thought up...
Well enough rambling....... I do have acouple pictures to post.. I threw the Crippled Rino outside for Miss J to trim. I forget how long,, 52 days tops But I love the overcast sunlight on her... Makes her look like a cold blooded bitc*

and my overgrown veg tent.. They just got thined and pruned back. Most of these are wanted for cutting.. That Crippled Rino is one I ALMOST allways get in before rains.. Good painkiller plant,, least I'm told.. So should be a good budder plant,, and for RSO. But here's the jungle before I get a axe
