For soil you should be able to go to the local nursery and get some BU's Blend compost from Malibu Compost they are out your way .... no?

I just went to my local nursery and bought up a bunch of bags of Coast of Main lobster compost left over from last year got it for a song... good time to go get last years leftovers...

Oh forgot to ask.... what's a "super auto" strain. I thought I read where it goes 100 plus days including VEG ? Pretty much isn't that what we do inside with Photoperiod... ??

Sure is Mister Bbrown.. But the plus side is it has a finish date for outdoors. These are seed by Flash. So you got peoples like me that have to finish by the end of Sept before rains mold everything on the hoof.. I can start them earlier and harvest earlier that a regular photoperiod. I can put them out earlier and they won't start flowering early and have to reveg like a standard nonauto. You only gain a time frame, instead of a photo plant that won't flower till mid-August.
But what do you gain by growing a auto?? That is if you have the space,, nothing. You take a clone, veg if for acouple weeks and flower. 10 weeks total and you have a auto. They fit in a tent manageably, But I always new there was a place for autos.. I just think they will do best flowering outdoors in the full sun of June/July.. Easliy done with autos. But Flash brang in some genetics that veg abit longer thus getting pretty damn big. I grew one last year,, it went over 10' easy. And about a pound and a half fair product. And that was a poor example. I was battling Hemp Mites so she wasn't treated proper. And I didn't really think she'd get that big and never gave her room. I have one outside now that is a foot and half tall.. Kind of leggy,, been cloudy out there with rain so she abit tall but I'm hoping for a harvest come end of June. I have 4 going now. But if I can find a strain that produces a good yield of good weed that I can harvest anytime before Sept, it should be a winner here. Portland has shitty outdoor season.. We do get wet here.. Moss everywhere, and molds.

Thats everyone for coming in.. Guess I just got lucky with some colorful ones this time. I am glad to say I did get a cut of one of them colorful girls,, the Black DOG. I been looking at others grow and this one is abit different than the others I've been watching. Still even the others have that nice purple to it.. Mornin NCW, Ive got some Pergutoys from TGA seeds that claim to be mold resistant. I wonder if its both the PWM and moldy buds at harvest from moisture/humidity? I picked it cause its a early indica. I cant wait to shop and buy more seeds.

Gl Dutchess.. To me I always look for mold resistance. least most of my outdoor girls need to be.. I do have acouple fresh pictures to post.. I have a Jack Herer real close to harvest. I'm not sure how long shes been in flower,, but she's looking close;

Hey Con I do feel abit relaxed when I smoke it... Might be the smokers cure,, fulfills the smokers need to smoke and works like a mother's little helper to boot..

Con,, I have theem two plants going of the UD variant,, the shorter bush is lookking male, and the leggyier of the two hasn't shown.. The males not foor sure,, 65% male.. The plants didn't grow wide at all,, stems went straight up instead of anything close to 45 degree from the main.. Now they have had a crowded room to grow in which accounts for some of it.. But by it's branch structure it's a tall plant not wide. Least none of the three I seen so far were.. I'm planing on getting 1 female of each of the varaint, grow it large enough for a cut to try outside.. Matter a fact I kind of need to plant afew more for selection tonight.. Keepem Green

Hey ncw I've been looking up info on crop kings. Some have had good results from them and others have had bad customer service and when ordering autos and getting photos. Another seed bank I've heard good things about is cannapot. Accepts cc and carries a wide range of breeders around the world. Have u seen any good 420 seed deals up lately??

There is a pheno whuch looks male, but it's a female and also there is an indica pheno that looks like a female but often turns to be a man. It's difficult to say unless you see the sex and can make a decision about culling or growing.

Mister Jgrow,, I sent a PM. But I've used alot of the seed vendors. This will be this first time I try Crop King. I messaged them and they didn't feel any of the strains they have to be done the end of Sept and suggested auto's.. Isn't my first rodeo,, but I let Miss pick this strain. I do like the pick and mix of single seeds. Half the fun is trying new strains looking for that special number 10. I already know I'll never find it and that's ok.. But she went with an auto flower. Early Miss. So I'll be doing afew of them this summer. But about the vendors,, I've had good results with all the ones I've used.. Acouple problems but the vendors fixed pretty fast. You do shop for freebies, I know I've gotten freebies that have turned out better that what I ordered,, and next time I was ordering them... But if you find a good plant,, they are hard to replace. Even outta the same bag of stock.
We just going to play it by ear Con.. I did crack a half a dozen of each to get a better selection. What I'm going to do is look for a solid stocky looking female, maybe 2 if something jumps out.. Should have plenty of time to get them sexed before June. I am going to fire the cloner up before spring, because these girls are going to be way to big in my 4X4 veg tent. Hell some in there are almost 3' now.. And I have seed in there too.. I guess I need to fire up the nursery to.. I hate starting seeds in a tent with taller plants.. Seedlings tend to compete with them and you end up with leggy ass starts.. Best to start them up under a fluorescent lamp. Close to all uniform sized plants. Helps keep them a bushier.. Well, I'm outta here for a Minute.. I always end up leaving my PC on 420, and take a peek when I slip out for a smoke.. Thats about the extent of my workings on the PC anymore.

I have a couple fluorescents left over from when i got my led light.. im thinking of building a box for the lights and seedlings/young plants. So i can get a couple ladies started while my ones are finishing up now. Would be nice to have a head start while im harvesting my first grow. I swear i spend most of my time thinking about my grow and what to do next. Its keeping my mind occupied and i am thankful for that. Damn do i love doing this lol

Hey Toasted,, I use to make custom fit grow boxes for in my closets when I use to have to really hide a grow. A couple nice pieces of cardboard, or a box that fits your alotted space.. Paint the inside acouple coats of flat white paint, tape the unit together. Acouple little holes for a little PC fan or two, fluorescent tubes across the top. Leave top open in you can or don't. Posiablites are endless. I made a small box I could fit two small plants in and fit it in the back corner of the closet and had clothes hanging infront for added camo when needed like peoples coming over,, landlord even the cops a time or two. Man I was stupid for growing in the place I was living. A trailer park that the cops were at atleast once a week. Not at my place,, but close enough to raise concerns. And I've always kind of attracted cops attention,, long hair, back in the day my scooter. A longhair on a Harley always attracts cops.. Back in Missouri, they were known to hang ya for growing, so I stayed incognito for 3 grows there. But I always played around and found millions of uses for cardboard.. Back in prison, I used it to kind of dress up you locker with shelfs and drawers,, and on the street grow boxes. You'd be supprised how well they stand up unless you get em wet alot.. For starts hell you can fit it anywhere. You just want it for starts or clones, hell you can make one that wood fit ontop of your tent in it isn't too hot... Flat white paint,, hell any paint works,, semigloss will turn flat if you only do one unprimed coat. But I do two coats. Paint even makes the cardboard stronger.
It does make it alot easier to have a second 'room'. That little space will give you another crop inside, per year.. And like I was saying about seedlings,, even if you put them on highchairs to bring them up to canopy level,under my 600 MH, seeds get alittle tall. You start the same seed 6" under a tubes and she'll stay short and compact giving ya a better start in life.

Awesome man thanks for all of that.. see i tried cardboard when i first had my lights. I made a 4' long and 35" wide thing out of a display board i bought at walmart for a couple bucks. Had the sides standing against the walls and the top of it flipped down against the back wall of my closet. Had the lights on the top that flipped down but they just got too heavy. I had the screw holes supported with more cardboad and it worked very well for a while until the cardboard on the top started to breakdown and it turned into a real pain in the ass. Drove me to upgrade to the tent i have now. If i make a box thing again it will definitely be made out of some kind of fiber board or something stronger. Cant have the lights falling on my plants.. it happened last time a couple times actually and when i was setting up my tent i about squashed em for good. Its crazy how you can have 2 lb lights and flat cardboard fall on your plants and as long as the stems dont break they are good to go, bounced right back everytime.
