Heey A-Bird,, could be a nice kick back spot,,, cept the drama that Miss J's son and daughter-inlaw creat for themselves. Me and mine like to keep things as mellow as possible. But I get this feeling this year, well summer, is going to be alittle crowded.. The Grandaughter is old enough, 9 year old..,, and she stays here every other weekend plus afew days here and there.. I've kept traffic down to minimal kids.. With a grow and all,, they all been around it all their lives so it's no biggie,, but she's starting to have more friends,, and with that pool,and 10' plants around it, well you get the idea.. Going to get alittle crowded this year..
What I loved about Mount Shasta was how she looms over you as you come up interstate 5.. Off in the distance past Sutter Buttes.. Mount Hood is kind of like that.. I loved Shasta,,, and the Trinity Alps. Spent alot of time on Shasta. Had a friend had a huge houseboat on lake and we built a nice cabin on lake also.. Gods Country.. But most of my mountain time was hunting gold.. Is gold up there,, I mined Trinty more than once, but not as much as the Sierras have,, and you can access alot of it easily.
Ok looks like I'm back on track with germination rates.. I lost that Chaze and got a odd Muay Thai.. Well, I threw 2 more Muay Thais and a Chaze. All three are cracked and coming up tonight.. I also started 2 C-99's. Regular seeds. I like to stay away from regular myself,, unless your doing a breeding thing regular is the only way.. But when you're doing alot for you and others,, fem is the ticket.. But anyways,, I threw the 2 of the least likely to crack on a towel tonight.. I'm thing maybe a Cinderella or two outdoors? I have to come up with enough plants for 4 other peoples also.. So I have to get these large enough for cuttings.. And I need to go to Stoney Girls and get a cut or two also.. Here's their link,, anyone got any ideas from these??? I'm open to suggestions.. Now I can't guarantee they will have them all,, and acouple I've worked with,, but they have a nice little selection. I know I can get seeds of any of them.. Like 10$ a seed. They comein 5 packs,, but the fool best give me the family rates..

OOOOOOOkkkk time for a fast update,,, first a Good friend from around here gifted me some seed he produced,, he said he thinks these might finish in my area. Hey, it wood be great.. But it is a hard road to go for her. The rains come even in the spring and summer..But once the buds are fat and stacked almost done,, the rains.. Least thats been 80% of my outdoor crops.. They all needed a week or two more of sun.. But here's what I have Call it UD #2 for aminute.. I hope to get him to clue us in on the genetics. I cracked 4 prime seeds and got three off and running. I wanted two to start so I transplanted these acouple days back;

Now you heard me say I have that mutant Muay Thai,,, well she started right, two feeder leafs, first single blade leaf, then 1, 3 blanded leaf with no terminal top, to continue upward growth. Hit a dead end??? well it is a country boy and will survive. A new shoot came out from ontop of the feeder leaf and is taking off;;

Ok next,, she's been in the floweroom for a month and starting to fill in nicely.. It's mother plant was nowhere as big as this one,, yet she yielded a nice haul for her size. This one,, 3/4+ pound I'm hoping for.. Summers coming and the room is emptying out for spring cleaning, and maybe a science prodject of something.. IF I had a split air, but I'm going to hook up the ductwork to the hoods when the rooms empty.. Got to do a wheel rebuild and replace a section of track on one of the light rails. I need a 18 year old punk ass kid to do alot of the grunt work.. That shouldn't be a problem,,, LOL Babbling Here she is;

Well thats it for one.. I'll try to pull another tonight. I takem out,, pich 5 or 10 leaves, place 4 poles in the corners of the pots,, or about corners for them round pots, I can tell this ones going to need alot of support and tie wire. That's a good thing. Maybe a pound,,,,, naw I'll be happy with 3/4 of one. I got some serious major weight off the main buds her mother produced. This one I spent abit longer in veg.

As far as which seeds to buy its very hard to choose. They all look awesome. Bay area names and the grand kids names are cool. Cassious, I like it. Starts out Cassious and harvests out Muslim and named Ali? Ohhhhh and packs a PUNCH! Knock you out!! Aww what fun!
4 poles in a round pot for support? Thanks. One pole dont do it. Ive been thinking about hanging a 7' 2x2 piece of WOOD with hooks on it to tie to for bud support. I need to put some poles in the house to quarantine. I got to do that today. Keep them in the house in case its needed.

Hey ncw have u always used poles to support your plants? Do u put them directly thru the roots maybe damaging them or on the outside edge of the pots??

Outside edge for sure but Ive never had a bad experience ripping threw the roots. Its got to shock the plant. The broad side of the coat hanger next to the plant tore through good last time. you could feel it. Best rip Ive felt yet and they took it just fine. Id imagine its better than not supporting the plants or buds at all. Thats my experience.

Yea I put them straight thru the root ball. I'm using them plastic over metal stakes and they have kind of a point.. But I've been using bamboo too,, and they are blunt helps to kind of sharpen them abit. But yes, it does rip a root or two.. But plants recover easy enough mostly anyways kind of like topping a root.. I do try to go down the edges of the pot.. Some strains don't need supports. It all comes back to knowing your plant.. I stay with poles becuse it keeps ya moblie if needed.. I don't like not being able to move them around,, that's myself..
Naw Jandre she's not whorling.. Looks like it from the pic but I have bent the leaves over for the picture.. And I trimed acouple small pieces off the leafs also for a veiw..

Thanks NCW. If I support the buds from above theres no moving them. I only had one pole in the pot last tent run and maybe 4 is the ticket. I still need to get some poles in the house for quarantine. They will be the inside sticks. Its very important and will do.
Ok Wood, heres the 18" black light with the white cover. Leave the white cover on or take it off?

That's a black light, as in florescent colors and all that? From what I understand,, plants hardly use blacklight spectrum of lights.. Now there is alot of talk about using UVB lights durning the final week or so of flower to increase trichome production. But I think your better off adding acouple daylight spectrum bulbs than blackilghts.. You can see the spectrum on googl-.. It's way off the PAR charts. Very very little used by the plant.. Now I have to ask this,,, how many people now anything about these 'Fast' version seed... Afew breeders have them out. From what I gather,, they worked some cannabis ruderalis, and married it to either an indica or a sativa for parentage. Now understood,, these are fast versions so I imagine it's to speed up the flowering process,, but the strains are called photoperiod plants.. Possiable 1st week of Sept,, I'm all over it.. I've messed with acouple photo plants that had auto in them and found very unstable genetics.. I did a KC-45 that was total auto after about a 7 day veg cycle,, and a S.A.D Fast Version,, that started flowering even under about 15 hours and waxxing days of sunlight... Around here thats about June.. But I just ordered some C-99 X Blueberry Fast from that deal on Seedsman.. I plan on doing them outdoors this year.. BTW both C-99's seed I did both cracked and are starting to look around,, alond with another outdoor canidate,, Galaxy.. End of Sept?? Lets find out.. Keepem Green

No one really answered. Keep the cover off or on?? Im using it so I can go work on the tent during sleep time if need be. Nice to know it helps them finish better too? I wonderd if ok to just leave it on but figured why waste. Nice to know leave it on the last month but do I take the lense cover off??? Toasted I will take a pic with the cover off, but its just an 18" bulb. I just spent $40. on a 18" B.light bulb and housing and two 48" bulbs. I hope I did good?? According to your answer jandre, hell yea its ok to be on when theyre sleeping, in fact leave it on 24/7 the last month cause it makes them better! Did I understand this correctly and do I take the cover off? Great Day!!

I meant for you to take the pics with the light on so i can see if its brighter with or without the cover.. now im thinking take the cover off, ive never seen a blacklight with a cover on it when i think about it.

I never heard of using a blacklight for daytime lights.. I use a green one myself if I HAVE to go in there. And I mean have to go in there... I woodn't leave it on 24/7 ,, might hermie your plants.. I'm not familiar with blacklights myself.. GL and Keepem Green

But I do have a fast update... First was a freebie I got last seed order. I seen acouple others grow this without great results.. One hermied if I remember right. But this one is looking pretty good.. Stretched alittle more than most I've been growing,, but still looks like they will stack up nicely;

and this one stacks real nice, Loved the weed.. I still got people asking for it,, shame I didn't do a large plant.. Least this one is twice as big as the last;

And one of my NEW favorites. These came from a contest long ago by Gorilla Seeds. Sure is pretty pot.. I know these won't do outside,, so this is the last,, for aminute or two. I still have seeds.. And unlike the Red LT,, these seem pretty stable. This is the third grow from seed, and all been the same.. I do have a clone of the Balck DOG I'm thinki ng of trying out there. But anyways;
