Our Ongoing Grows

Well Veinz,, I never got the chance to try. She had a infestation of Russet Hemp Mites,,, beyond saving. I lost her, a Crippled Rino, a Odysseus, and half the Pit Bull I had going from them. And everything suffered out there. But that wood be cool. Sensie crop grown in the middle of a hemp field..... Still legal hemp is sure going to hurt alot of outdoor cannabis farmers... Going to be alot of seeded dope going around out there.. I'm going to have to get a cutting of her,,, gulp, again. From what I understand they are working with another strain also. IF I get a clone from him,,, you can bet it's going to sit at a friends house that doesn't grow, till she's been treated and retreated for pests..
Thanks people for the kind words,,,, now is the time they start packing on the weight. I did get some feedback about some of the smoke,, a friend, pretty heavyweight smoker did a sample test on the Mind Cantrol and the Incredible Bulk, he loves that Mind Cantrol. I have that one I was going to cut up for clones,, I'm thinking of culling one of the CBD plants and using it instead. I don't have but acouple weeks into flower, with one of them. So no big loss... I'm still reserved in my thoughts of the CBD plants.. But I've never grown what they call high cbds. I imagine I've grown so with higher levels. But I kind of like THC,,, sounds funny to breed the thc values down and cbds way up. I have a purple orange cbd and a critical mass cbd. I think one is like 3 to 1 cbd and 2 to 1 cbds the other. I need to research abit first. Well hope alls doing good out there, and Keepem Green

Thanks Brighlights,,, but I do have one going thru a calcium problem. Leaves are getting a bit of brown across the margin tips. I should've up the cal/mag when in transition. True to form,, it takes a grow or two to learn a strain. This one is a special needs child. Purple Orange CBD from Dinafen. She did get close to the light and first I thought I'd burnt her alittle,, which could be true, the tips look alittle fried. She's the 3 to 1 ratio CBD/THC. But I do want to cull one, score is 1 from P-Orange CBD,,, Critical Mass CBD 0. First to hit 3 is outta here.

Just finished making another batch of RSO. Getting this shit down. 9 drops of water when 95% of the alcohol is gone and bubbles are looking brown over the green they start with. I fill a quart jar with my material, which is the year before last's outdoor crop, yes I still have some, once full I top off with the PGA and shake and shake afew times over night. I use a wooden spoon handle to stir the hell outta it to before shaking. I pour thru a Nut Milk Bag, Hey Brightlight, you can get them off the net easy way to strain oils and coconut budder, to me you lose more real butter being left on the material after straining , so I use coconut oil, you get alot better return. But I've tried some of the many different methods of making extracting the butter. These bags are real fine mesh and sturdy. I remember you asking what I used somewhere.... Well I'm outta here for a minute Keepem Green

Ok I looked at my Mind Cantrol in the veg tent..... She sure took to her last feeding and greened right up. A Little nitrogen goes along ways.... But she has recovered from her toppings and I have acouple new leaves showing. Enough new grow to ensure a nice manageable main top. But after looking at the MC plant,, and smoking a joint,,, I want more soon. I have x amount of oz's left. And will run out soon enough. So I guess that jacks the score,, one each. Purple has two now and Critical Mass has one strike against them. 3 strikes they out. Well Purple has been flowering been flowering about two weeks longer than the Critical... I think that's another strike,, against the Critical. 2 to 2. Well earlier i think I said the final answer earlier... Purple- 3 times the CBD's,,, Critical Mass- 2 times the CBD's. Maybe a blond moment? Or is that 3? Keepem Green

Oppps here's the Mind Cantrol I down loaded it so here we go.

I threw her in flower tonight. Time will tell who gets culled.... Keepem Green

Thanks NCW. I'm going to get a nut milk bag to compare with stock MBM bag. MBM small "horse feeder" bag works ok but I'm always afraid to squeeze too hard for fear of blowing it apart. Maybe stronger than I think...IDK? Do you know a good way to keep the butter warm enough while waiting for it to drain through the bag? Slows as soon as butter starts to cool. :thanks:

Are you using butter Brightlights? Ever try coconut oil? Cheaper,,, a hella lot easier to strain. And works the same as a butter replacement in cookies and brownies. Better for ya too. And tastes great. You can buy it by the gallon. Stays liquid longer but does Set up just like butter after she cools down. To me alot easier all the way around. I didn't get a bag with my MBM but these bags are pretty strong or I'm getting weaker.. That may be true,, but it wood take alot to break one of these. About 5 bucks a pair. I have a first edition MBM I guess. Be careful,, where the handle joins the unit, it's held on there with a plastic nut washer keeper. Mine broke and I ran some strapping tape around to hold the handle on. Still works great.. And we've made alot of budder. But you should try coconut oil. I did the research on the how good a solvent it is, is just about the same as clarified butter. They compared all the way from butter to bacon drippings,,,my favorite thing,,, but it is the least of the solvents. Buds fried in bacon fat,,, oh man.. Keepem Green

Fast update.. First here's what I have kicking off in there;

In the middle I zoomed in on the Money Maker. Short stocky, and looks likes she going to produce some decent sized colas...

Ok I'm a thinking of keeping the Purple Orange CBD over the Critical Mass CBD. The PO CBD has a 3 to 1 ratio of cbd/thc. Which soounds better for a sample plant. She's farthest along in flower showing a no brainer now. And I like her growth patterns better than the other. ;

I'll keep them both going until I have to do something. I should get my repair kit for the rail and that will open up two more spaces for plants with the extra 3'X5' footprint. Ok I also have one Called Black Dog. This girl has no space between nodes making her a plant that covers her buddage bad. Alot of seletective pruning is needed. She only stretched like 10%.

Hard to see how crowded her canopy was... Well hopes alls doing good out there,,,, and Keepem Green

Hey man, you know you're supposed to cut CBD varieties earlier, right?

Yep the longer you grow it, the more CBD turns into THC.

I do have acouple pics of the buddage off the Blue City Diesel. Tasty and stoney. Very mild fruity flavor,,, easy on the lungs.

Con I've never played with these CBD plants. They claim between 8-9 weeks for these to finish. I do know THC degrades into CBD with aging, but I've never played with CBD plants. I made a mistake earlier. The Critical Mass is a 1 to 1 ratio, and the Purple Orange CBD is 2 to 1 ratio CBD/THC.
Ok a fast update. And thanks everyone for stopping in and taking a look..
Oh yes Ducthess, I don't crank up the air cooled part unless needed in the summer. I have a passive air intake coming up thru the floor from under the house. It has a dust shroom cover filtering the air. Then in the ceiling, the highest, and hottest part of the room, I have a 8" inline fan pulling out the hot air and replacing with the cool filtered air from underneath the house. Come summer I hook up the ductwork from the light directly out the ceiling, while still pulling air from the floor.
Ok in the gardens. I'm really leary of this Big Tooth. Like I said,, it was a cheaper seed.. I used her to round out my order and get another freebie. But the buds are looking like they will be airy. Big but what I call Beasters. And they usually aren't the best bud in the bag.

Then I have a Black Dog. Anyone worried about a plant over growing their tent,, here's one for you. Almost zero stretch. I can tell this one going to be covered in trichomes. All the secondary leaves are already covered;

Ok I pulled a bud outta the Incredible Bulk jar. For as good as she smells, she lacks alittle bit in the punch department. She is a nice tatsy smoke good for daytime to me anyways.
