OMM's Social Network Part 3

Our Queen,

I have grown two autos and did some light defoliation and they were OK. I think with autos, from what I've seen, if you err on the side of caution to find out if you've got a finicky one you should be sorted.

Of course I could just be talking out of my fluffy little bottom :) :smokin2:

Hey there OMM. Hope things are getting better with you and Jo. Also thanks for the info about the leaves and when to pluck. I will keep this in mind for future grows since I was told it is not good to do this with autos. I have seen you peeking in on my journal, hope to get some advice once you feel better.

Hello my beautiful Queen.

I think you should ask XLR8 or THsea about defoliating an auto, since I don't grow them. I don't know if it would hurt or help them.

Jo and I are hanging in. Jo is going to an optometrist in the morning. She has lost sight in one of her eyes during the mess she has been going through. That's all the poor thing needs, to lose an eye. :smokin2:

Love ya girl!

I'm going to be a brave Fluffetus and do the defoliation properly this time *

* providing I don't get lost in Fluffy chaos of course

:nomo: :rollit: :loopy: :yummy: :yikes: :adore: :sorry: :MoreNutes:  :phew:  :allgood: :passitleft:

Yep, defoliation is what you need to do. Those big ass leaves are going to cover many bud sites. Let the sunshine hit those buds.:high-five:

I was feeling kind of down.....but...no more ........Your Fluffyness ...has changed my frown to a smile. Thank You!
:Love::Love::Love:

Yayyyyy! :cheertwo:

My work here is done :) :hugs:

I came up with Fluffetus, but Mr Fluffy and I are as incredibly gifted as each other ... he came up with Pingu Abu Fluffylugs for me

OMM....the ONLY MAIN MAN. (sorry I got a kick out of it so i had to post it.)
Last time i was on you mentioned a scrogg, and a few days later there is 7 pages of scrogg techniques all of wich sound good.
Wish you would look into my first litreture wich was a book wrote by Dru West titled West Coast Masters, even if you only check it out to shut me up. and in the book it goes from both seed and clone. all through veg and into flower. My current grow is my first true scrogg. Like Buckshot mentioned i have a platform made for a shelf that has 2"slots held off the groung by centerblocks. i did it this way so i could place a catchall under for run off and for when the time comes to flush.Mine is 3ft tall and 50"wide with a depth of 27". I have yet to fill the complete screen and i have 2 swiss cheese under it. I am too impatient to veg for a long period of time after, again, i vegged for 4 months the first time. YES 4 months. they were monster plant and had huge main cola that is pictured in my avatar. The book i am talking about shows how to build the frame for the scrogg and goes as far as labeling on the frame where each limb and internode go. I wish i had the income, patience, etc. as the masters do because the are getting 1pound of dried material.
The was i look at it and I am sure most who grow their own is even if i only get a couple grams they are still the best ever because they have that hint of PRIDE in them.
No matter what you decide to do I will be watching and cheering you on. and even though it's your first attempt, I am sure I'll learn something from you.
Hope Jo's doctor visit went well and they got her vision back.
Your a true ICON. As much positivity sent your way way as one can handle!!!

Damn, I am sorry to hear that about Jo's eye, hopefully that can be corrected. Maybe the guys will see this and chime in in my journal. I see THsea has been lurking. I could use all the auto experts I can get....lol..

I think I will just pluck if needed but thanks for the info, lady. I appreciate you.

Hi Queen!

I've always been under the impression that with auto-flowers you are better off tucking the leaves out of the way as much as possible instead of defoliating, but this may need re-thinking. Topping is thought of as a no-no for purposes of yield, as auto-flowers are best thought of as essentially "born in bloom mode", if that makes sense, and topping would most likely reduce yield with no veg time recovery available.

For me, I've tucked the fans out of the way or under the buds, etc., but not "plucked" them - and the tucking worked very well for me and netted a very good yield (for an auto-flower). Sorry I can't give you a better answer on that one Queen, just haven't plucked an auto yet to see the difference... :goodluck:

Hi OMM -

Damn. I'm bummed to hear about Jo's eye. I sure hope that things work out and they can fix her eye up somehow and she doesn't permanently lose all sight in it. Sending many positive vibes and much love to her and you both, brother.

Thank you so much for your positive remarks about me CoryDavid88 As you know, I'm still learning about our wonderful plants and how best to grow them. You are so right, even if we only get a few grams from a grow, they are special because we grew them!
I really want to thank you for telling me about Dru West. I did a search and found his book. It is no longer in print...however....we can read it on line. I've just started it....I like it already. I'll be eating it up...I would love to get a pound or two from a SCROG. I want to Thank you again for getting me on the right track.
About my girl Jo, she has surgery scheduled for next week....they can get her sight back! Hooray!

Hey Old Fiend.:high-five:

Next week, Jo has surgery scheduled for her eye. She will have her sight back! Don't know all the details, but her lens slipped or something like that. At any rate it's all good.

X, Jo and I are happier then we have ever been. Today she asked me "Why did it take us 30 years to really fall in love? A bug hug followed.

:circle-of-love: ! Wonderful News ! :circle-of-love:

Lots of very Fluffy :hugs: for the both of you

You have no idea how much this has made my day. You both deserve to have found your true companion. It may have taken a while, but quite clearly very well worth waiting for

Hey Fluffy One!

Yours and mine both My Dear, seems like the last month has made us realize how much we actually mean to each other. All defenses are down and we know it. She is actually a fun person to be around. We have both changed our outlooks. As the saying goes "We are one!".

I've answered your pm twice and lost it both times......look for it tomorrow. :high-five:

Oh no... the technology gremlins are after you now too! :yikes: I will look for it ;)

It does appear to be when both parties are able to let their defences down the true magic happens, or that's certainly what I've found. I know any tension with our relationship often comes when my walls start going up so I work hard to make sure it doesn't happen.

As terrifying as it is, I decided I wanted to take the risk because Mr Fluffy was just too precious not to give everything to.

I'm still smiling for you my darling. For the both of you

That is f'ing awesome! I am not gonna read any more for now and just stay with that

Thanks Mr. cake. That is just what I thought you meant. Cool. THsea and I are going to clean the tent out soon and wash our 2 big trays. We may just turn one over and put the other on top. We will see. 88 turned me on to a great book about SCROG s. Do a search for Dru West. Very interesting. :geek:

Morning OMM. Sorry to hear about Jo. I went through something like that a couple of years ago. My left eye is distorted but at least I can see. Hope they can figure out what is going on with Jo. As always you and Jo will be in our thought.

I am glad to hear that Jo's eye can be corrected. And happy to hear that you and Jo have fallen in love. Better late than never and it makes it just that more special.....

X, I appreciate the info you have given me about autos, from everyone actually. It seems like it's best to just feed it and leave it alone. I hope you will stop by my journal and leave your thoughts or anything else you may be able to tell me. I am waiting on a blue mystic and chocolate skunk to come. Any ideas about those ones. I am just curious to see what kind of eaters they're going to be.
