OMM's Social Network Grow

Hey Queen and everyone else. Yes that is a glue of some sort depending on a lot of alternatives they use it I believe it is called dermis. It is actually a skin transplant, supposed to work great, wish I could have had that.I apologize I havent felt well and been in bed much of the week. A new bug going around, just what I needed. Great News My son got full and exclusive custody of his 4 year old, im so excited I could bust... well better not do that I am trying to stay out of hospitals not trying to get back in.:Namaste: Hope everyone has had a great week so far. :peace:

Sorry to hear about you getting the bug going around. It has to suck to be sick while trying to heal from surgery. So are you saying the glue is some type of skin? That sounds gross but he's healing up pretty good, has been doing a lot of walking lately and not using the pain meds at all. I am happy to hear about your son winning custody, that's great.

I think I read somewhere where the rockwool cubes contain some volcanic rock in them, so if I remember right, it can be really good for the plants/just my thoughts/grace

them things are made of ground Blatz beer bottles and I can atest to that. although its not the exactly the same product (but it is) they use it in the construction trade as sound proofing and it works very well!
when I was an aprentice you got stuck doing the insulation and I can tell you that I have found the bottoms of beer bottles in there and no sh#t lables too:( the difference is they add fire retardent to the insulation grade. and me and my coworkers have actualy found some labels in that crap and it is the nastyious stuff you will ever work with in fact it is as far as I'am concerned the new asbestos! :)

Yeah, lots of stuff in our grows can be nasty if handled dry, everything must be soaked and let to sit prior to handling/beer labels/at least they recycle it. I've worked with that insulation myself installing it in my homes, it's not fun, and you need to really cover up all exposed skin and your eyes especially. My brothers use to remove asbestos in Cleveland 20 years ago, they use to bring their dirty clothes home for me to clean, so I guess I have been exposed to all kinds of stuff, especially with the steel mill not far from where I grew up/grace

fish cake Well it wasn't a million hammers for $100,00 each, but bad enough.

I hear ya Buddy, no one would actually waste the government's money. :thedoubletake:
LoL! Yes, and if that hammer is needed asap and on enemy lines it will get $250,000!!

HERE we go off topic 420 girls gonna be on this like white on rice! but 2o years ago the lady that hired me and got me in the union would follow maybe your brothers around and we would replace what ever they got rid of, ceilings, drywall, floor tile what ever! maybe why I cant breath well anymore! but I became an advocate for my fellow brothers about the transperency of what we were exposed to! thats when they made all the contractors around here place MSDS reports and files so all could see! not tooting my own horn but evryone needed a right to know:)

Hello SYN ! Welcome my new friend, :welcome:

I have to say you've done your homework. Good Work.

It sounds like we are doing a very similar grow. I have been using 1.32 Gallon AirPots for veg. Truth is that is what I first ordered. If I had to do it over, I would use the 1.9 Gallon ( 7.5 Liter) size for veg. For flower I have found the 3.3 gallon ( 12.5 Liter) Airpots best, in our space.

Since we both have limited upward space, your idea of TOPing and FIMing is prefect. I just Topped 2 today. We want to make bushes out of them in veg. You might even do a bit LST (low Stress Training) too.

Once in flower.....if they stretch too much, we can also super-crop them. If you are unfamiliar with any of these methods of training I will gladly show you how to do them.

As long as your LEDs cover your two rows of plants.....you are in business. Sounds like a good plan my friend.

Let me know if you have any questions. I hope you will journal your grow...I would like to see it. :Namaste:

Oh, hell, just repost your FIM, TOP, and Supercrop vids... I know we'd all like to see them again!

5 liter sounds fine.

Here is FIMing and Topping compared. By the way FIMing is more forgiving. FIM = Fu*k I Missed it! :rasta:

Look a post #569 in my OMMSOGa Journal listed below for a tutorial on super cropping. Tried to copy it here but couldn't. If you still can't find it, I'll try some other way to show you.

No, I don't have an LED Hood.

A Super Cropping Tutorial

First of all why do we super crop?

Here are some reasons.

Your plants stretched too much and are the in or above your lights.
Your running our of vertical space..no more room.
You want your plants to be even under your lights for better coverage.
Space limitations.

What you should do before Super Cropping. Water your plants an hour before you start. They will be easier to bend....hopefully so you wont break your girl.
Even if you do break them, Super Cropping still works. If it's a bad break you can usually tape them up and they will be fine.

Here is the Lemon Skunk before Super Cropping

Lemonskbeforejpg.JPG

Reach over and roll the stem in your fingers to soften the stem.

Here she is after super cropping picture. She had a hard steam so I was very careful.

Next up is Lucy..the bad girl she stretched like crazy

lucy2before_jpg.JPG

Once again I rolled her stem to soften her up. She was very easy to super crop. Very soft stems,

And here she is after I Super Cropped both of her stems.

And now the girls are on a level playing field and will fit under the lights again.

Questions and comments are welcome. Hope this clarified Supper Cropping for you a bit.

Thanks for the pictures on super cropping, I thought it meant to completely cut out that tall growth, so all we need do is bend a softened tall brand downward, I did this with string, but did not get the bend in stem as you have. This bend also helps with hormones being sent to the buds to make them bigger doesn't it?

I've added your great post to my blog for everyone to share, something to keep handy and look back to for knowledge, kind of building a catalog of grow methods and other's experiences with similar problems/great post/thank you/grace

Hi Grace!

I loved your answer to Buckshot. You got it, stay in the moment , don't look back and don't worry too much about the future. Here and now is where you actually live. :bravo:

Part 2 of the 2k3 decision, and self pact. No one can change my life but me. 2% what happens "to me" and 98% how I react to it. Life is so much better now than it was way back when...

Hi All Here is the Picture Up date that I promised on the 24th.

The LEDs have been turned up to full blast and I've lowered them a bit too.

Here is how the tent looks now.

First up are the HPS girls.

Part Two Coming up, the LED Girls :yummy:

Part 2 Of the Update....The LED Girls

All the LED Girls

NICE UPDATE!! I love it when things are getting pretty, and that magenta is preeeeeeeetyyy!

Hey, just a thought. You should put your divider up to separate the LED and HPS light and do sort of a comparison! Not anything formal, just for self stuff, y'know?

That's really great research CF. However it is really bad for me to breath with my messed up lungs and many others......we have Televised VOG warnings and people are hospitalized every time it blows this way. .Hope it doesn't hit us when you are here!

Good for growing, but not for breathing. You'll see all kinds of volcanic rock here. All the islands are old volcanoes.
That's why everything grows so fast and big here. You'll be amazed, house plants where you are, are trees here! Sorry if I took the wind out of your sails. :smokin2:

I think I read somewhere where the rockwool cubes contain some volcanic rock in them, so if I remember right, it can be really good for the plants/just my thoughts/grace

Actually it is from "Spun Rock" Like the way cotton candy is made.

Unlike volcanic rock, though, rockwool is inert and imparts nothing to the grow except for the ability to hold mass amounts of water because of the microscopic straw shape of the threads that make up each block.

This, however is not true for rockwool. I have taken out large chunks of actual partially melted rocks from the larger "gro-block" size cubes.

Or crank them LED's up to 11 and have a tent with a bunch of broken zippers!! Crank it!!

So there is a party at OMM's? ! ...

This was the post :cheesygrinsmiley:

High Buckshot ! If you hadn't told me I would never have known. I didn't get to see your post. Must have been a good one...or bad.

The 0G18 is the only one that has shown any problems. It is like the AK47 and 48 were. I did water them once, that was last night. I've been using Happy Frog for years. First time I've seen stuff like this. They did just ban it from the islands 2 weeks ago. I'm using Black Gold for the 2 Medi-Bomb1s and they look good.

I'll watch them all for sure. The two chem dawgs have sprouted.

We can talk about damn near anything...you must have gone a bit overboard. It's over anyway. :high-five:

OMM

What was Happy Frog banned for?!! I still use it all the time!!

Your perfectly right Grace. Volcanic rock is in many soil mixes too. Good stuff. :thanks:

That's wild fish cake. Jo's son and grandson are working with that stuff right now. They are putting in attics and with the heat in there, they are suffering. I better talk to them about it. Thanks.
