Omega Garden's Volksgarden Rotary Garden

Outstanding, thanks for the pics Maxx.

I've been looking forward to seeing the big finish. I agree with WOF, though it may be a little below the potential after optimization, anything over 1/2g per watt is a great result

You've started a bit of a revolution with these rotationals. I'm hoping to see more members post journals - these things are fascinating.

It looked like you first runs were much higher quality. It looked like you may have been having slight deficiency in your nutrients, either that or perhaps the humidity/heat got pretty high. The only time I have all the dead leaf and fluffiness is due to those three factors. The faster the plants grow it seems they require more calcium and magnesium, hence the leaves curling in on themselves. I could be completely wrong. I grow in soil and was using the aero method. Aero grows amazingly quick, and I encountered similar results to your most recent harvest using that method (dead leaves, fluffy buds, not up to potential), so I just thought I'd mention my observations.
I have grown the Mazar in an aeroponic machine and the upper buds were fantastic, while all the lower buds were just hash material. Super sticky, great taste, nice high. I think they should come out nicely in the Volks. Best luck on the next run, also I recommend using just one variety at a time, you figured out why, I'm sure.

Some strains really do well in the wheel, and others fluff out. Curling leafs are a fairly common reaction to the rotation, and is not necessarily a health issue.
Monoculture is preferred for maximizing returns, however I am still in the experimental mode.

I am not trimming throughout the whole grow so getting dead leaves is likely. The way this run grew in made for more dead leaves then usual, but I am not expecting a usual yet.

More to come.

Cheers,
Maxx

Congrats! They forgot to include the socket with mine, I had to go pick one up today. I got a better socket holder too while I was there that had the socket built in with a box for the wiring on back, the one they include with it kinda sucks IMO.

Mine never came with a socket, just the socket saddle. The mogul socket comes with the lighting which is not supplied with the Volksgarden.

Cheers,
Maxx

MAXXXXX,

welcome back.
very respectable pull. The screen looked like it worked well!!!
congrats on an inventive solution that worked!!

675ish grams - 1000w -.675 g/w.
very nice yeild - much more than i think i will get.
i too am looking for new strains (searching the perfect one)

can you give us a pic of one manicured and one dried?
+++REP

thank you for sharing.
WOF

Hey WOF,

Thanks. The harvest was several days ago and the evidences is long gone, so sorry but nothing left to take more pics of.

The screen was a bit like 'band-aids for brain cancer' but it did keep things in "conformity with the great harmony" as the - I Ching - puts it.

Cheers,
Maxx

Max, good result despite monster biomass due to sub-ideal genetic run. Band-aid for brain cancer indeed, lovely phrase. I am encouraged, nearly motorvated (Chuck Berry). You will do better, I will be happy to do as well. My head spins when I read those variety names, almost mythical in my neck of the swamp. Bumpity

Here is the start of round #4

I was thinking of starting a new thread but I am still here for whatever reason ;).

Here are sum pics from my new run. Everything is looking great
right now. Two pics are from week one of flower. And two are from week two, guess which are which. I vegged them for 4 days.
