Oldsmokey Grows Blue Cheese & Blueberry With Promix

My 80 gallon rdwc setup at 360 grams (4.5 gr/gal) of MC, cal/mag and silica takes about 100ml of pH down to bring it to 5.7. That's with a tap water pH of 7.2-7.4. I usually will have a pH drift of 0.4 max in 12-16 hours, it takes maybe 10-20ml of pH down to bring it back into check. That's all I have to do for the week as far as pHing. I do check pH and EC in the morning and will mix anywhere from 5-15 gallons of nutrients to top off with over the course of the week.

I'm really liking this silica supplement I started using, very little pH drift, if any from it. It is my first silica supplement so the only think I have to compare it to is others comments on having wild pH drift using some silica supplements or the cost of some of them. It's called Silica Gold by TPS. MultiVortex turned me onto their organic cal/mag that's 0-0-0 and I found they also had a silica supplement.

There's a coincidence! I just found the 0-0-0 TPS cal/mag product yesterday when I thought I might want to add it to my custom mix.

Welcome to the club! :cheesygrinsmiley:

It's good stuff. Been using it for a while.
