Oldsmokey Goes Hydro

I'm not a DWC guy, but when I google Enzyme Komplete I get links to a DWC system cleaner, not something that is supposed to be run when there are plants in the buckets! Is that different stuff?
This is a page from the manufacturers website (which is vague) that talks about combining this crap and another product, Mammoth P. For better results.

If it were just a cleaner that would explain the results. The damage Smokey saw and the speed at which the damage took place was amazing.

It's weird because all over their website they talk about how to use this stuff for cleaning, even for cleaning "hand tools and instruments." I certainly wouldn't be cleaning my hand tools with the same stuff I put on my roots, but the site is nothing if not confusing to me.
You're right. When you look at an online store it seems to be just a cleaner. But to just use enzymes to clean with is kinda silly. Gotta soak everything? I got shit to do! Haha.

This is interesting Shed.

Later that evening...

The fellas on Rollitup are using it successfully as a root tonic. The only complaint seems to be its tendency to go all Lawrence Welk if you add too much... I guess it isn't for me. My system will foam if I give it a dirty look. Im out.

I took a read as well. It's a "multi purpose" cleaner.
"
Enzymes Komplete™. All of the systems must be regularly cleaned and kept clean, to assure happy and healthy gardening operations.

If any particular system will be cleaned right from the start, the recommended amount of Enzymes Komplete™, 6ml- 8ml per one gallon of water, should be considered standard procedure. EVERY GARDENER MUST TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION if Enzymes Komplete™ is not introduced from the start of growing operations, THE 3 EASY STEPS OF APPLICATION ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

It makes no difference if it is just a few days after starting or half way through a cycle or during bloom, the first step must be only use of 2ml per one gallon of water. Second flush, the dose will increase up to 4 ml per gallon and the 3rd flush the dosage should be 6ml – 8ml per gallon of water."

I found this part interesting: "When Enzymes Komplete™ is added to the system, it immediately starts doing its great job of cleaning and cleansing the system and starts breaking down dead organic matter/proteins."

My take : used in a very weak solution can be used as bennies. Used in a stronger application results in it acting as a cleaner.

If your looking at bennies, have you looked at great white/ orca?
And while it's expensive as hell in Canada you can use hydroguard. Voodoo juice is also another good alternative.
If you steer clear of MC, there is always the nuclear option (aka H202) instead of running bennies.

There selling it as a enzyme cleaner. Yes there website is confusing. I mixed exactly as they said using as a enzyme cleaner. Don't know exactly why this happened but I do know I won't be using or endorsing there product.

This morning they look rough will probably lose most of there fan leafs but I think they will survive not sure about the CBD it's pretty bad looking.

I have seeds soaking going into paper towel this morning just incase I decide not to proceed with the rest of this grow.

To sum it up I made a stupid mistake I should of followed my first instincts after I first tried enzymes Komplete. But I did a little research online and couldn't find anything bad and I was mixing it correctly. Talked with another grow store they tell me it works so well it's the only one they sell. So thought I would give it another shot. That was my mistake and it messed my plants up bad. Stay clear of Enzymes Komplete!

This sucks man. So sorry it didn't work out, but don't get down on yourself. You did what anybody would have done. You did your homework and all signs pointed to this product being a winner. This batch was seriously compromised. I was using something called Supernova once. It didnt attack my plants but it DID turn my water to peanut butter so bad I had to put my seedlings in soil to save them. Live and learn I guess.

I hope you don't have to start over. Losing leaves sucks but like I was saying damage to the tap root and other initial roots can really put the hurt on a plants future. In the picture you can see two mothers. Same age, same strain, same growing conditions obviously.
The plant on the left lost about .060" off the end of the taproot as I was placing the cracked seed into a Rapid Rooter. Damn these ham hands! Haha. It ended up being very slow and never outgrew this issue. Turns out, the root tips have a cap that protects the roots as they push through dirt. Just behind that are meristem cells which do the growing... you lose or DAMAGE this area and your plants growth will be retarded, theres nothing you can do. Sure, more roots will show up, but its as if the chemistry of the plant has changed. On another occasion I eyeballed a dose of 34% peroxide to clean a res that was going bad and blew it. I sizzled the roots bigtime. In just a few days most of the leaves dropped off the plants, there were three, and I thought for sure they were all circling the drain. Over time they came back. I was able to flower them and they did ok, but the buds were hollow... no real mass to them at all. Bottom line is those three plants made oil. Ill take a lose of leaves over root damage any day. If your roots are unaffected you should be good. I hope this helps in your decision making in the next few days.

Shit happens it's early enough I could restart not that big of a deal it could be worse if I didn't have more seeds to replace them or was low on meds.
There you go. I like the way you think!

Here's a question for you... the Seedbanks have thoroughly pissed me off, and now I need to get started on my next season. I have a clone coming to me shortly, it will be the driver for putting the room together and starting the madness all over again. I have seeds, some of which I no nothing about... maybe you can help me decide which to grow.

I have Strawberry Banana from DNA... but im done with that one, I grew it for almost a year and a half. so let's move on.

Purple Alaskan

Blue Kush

I have King Tut seeds from a friend who I had given a clone to. He's my bro, but kind of a muppet, so im a little skeptical... to the point where I wonder if they are even King Tut...

And I still have an unopened package of Wembley. I had fun with the last grow, but the review on Wikileaf that says Wembley buds are somewhere between light, and fluffy and tight and dense is a very accurate description. I got about 40 oz of light and fluffy and a little pissed about it.

What would you grow?

If you had some cheese it would be a easy choice for me then. If you can get King Tut from your friend that's a good option aswell but I know you have grown that before.
Nice. I love King Tut, we've talked about this. But knowing how my friend is, again, I've known him almost 30 years, makes me give his seeds the fuzzy eyeball.

Thanks for the input!

Here's the 2 WW I have going.

The one with larger node spacing has a more cheese than skunk stem rub, whereas the little lady is all skunk.
