Oldsmokey Goes Hydro

Anyone have the Disney + Channel? While it has cool stuff like the feature length cartoons Hercules and Jungle Book, and many more, it also has some pretty cool stuff from National Geographic. One mini series in particular is called Cosmos. Its a refried version of the show from 1980 created by Carl Sagen for PBS. I saw this series when it first came out but have watched it many times since then and never get sick of it. If you ever have questions about time, evolution, how life operates, space, and how all these seemingly seperate topics come together. Its all laid out by Neil De Grasse Tyson in a concise format that I find very interesting. While they don't get into how Potassium helps the stomata of a pot plant operate its still pretty cool. Check it out.

@The Phantom just to jump in while I'm here...any edibles you're making will require decarbed buds, as the cooking process won't come close to time/temps needed to do the job. How much butter does the recipe require? I can do some calculations for you if you like.
 
I use sweetsue's technique with the instant pot decarb and infuse all in one step.

I do small batch infusions in a jar in the oven. Just did some last weekend!

240F 90 minutes in the oven to decarb. I infuse in the magical butter machine but its better to do 2 cups minimum in there, crock pot works fine (low) and don't forget the LsL
 
I used to make a ton of brownies. I would make them as strong as I could and kept them in the freezer. I never wanted to eat a brownie that has been around for a few months so the strength would allow me have a 1 inch square instead of a full size brownie.

I sware, when you research decarboxilation every single person has a different method thats "the best". I went with 240F for about an hour. If I had a lot of material a little longer, but I gave up on chasing the best way to do it. I haven't dont it in a while, but my brownies were crippling. 1 square and your done. I make RSO with the scraps now
 
The first time I made brownies...

I was an Apprentice Plastic Injection Mold Maker. I just got an ounce of Mexican brick, and I wanted to try something different. So, I got my Duncan Hines mix and I mix it up with a some destemmed, lightly minced bud. Its about 6 in the afternoon/evening on a Sunday and the goods are cooked. I cut out a brownie size brownie and ate it... after some TV theres nothing happening, so I had another. I waited, nothing. I ended up eating about half the sheet and went to bed. I did start to feel it, prior to bedtime, but I woke up fucking wasted. Called my boss, told him what I did and went back to bed.
 
My wife has had an occasional but bad cough for over a month now so she has gone to vaping. I made coco-caps for her to get her to quit smoking completely for a while, while her lungs recover. 4 caps do her very nicely!

Most potent brownie I had was a Korova Black Bar, 1000mg of some potent stuff. I busted off a chunk the size of a marble and woke up on the couch a few hours later. The bud tender suggested I cut a 3"x3" brownie into 100 servings. :rofl: :goodluck:

It took me a few times of passing out and waking up over the course of a month to be able to finish the thing.

You will probably want to use vegan capsules. The regular capsules are gelatine and can melt from the liquid inside. Its not bad in the fridge, but a trip to the beach can end in tears. There are a bunch of capsule sizes to use. Mine are too big to be honest at "OO". Smaller gives you some dosing adjustability.

I use a pippetor to fill the capsules. Its an adjustable medium volume unit in the 300-500 microliter range. They make special racks and things to help make filling easier. You will probably want to look at them. One thing cool about pippetors is they are available with multiple heads, so you can fill 6 or even 12 capsules at a time. If you made a lot of pills this may be handy. You want to be aware of the spacing on your rack though. Multihead pippetors are made for use with a biotech "plate" called a 96 well rack. This rack spacing will be the same throughout.

I got completely sick of capsules and ended up filling 3ml syringes. So much easier.

Anyway, I'm super lazy today... I have pictures, but my laziness forbids me from dealing with the 420 photo loading protocol. Haha.
