OldMedMan's First Grow Couchlock 2009

Damn, took two days to play catch up since I've been MIA, and low and behold you've already chopped those beauties, and have em hangin

CONGRATS!

They look super tasty! Who cares about weight when your rolling fat in quality buds, it's all relative as they say. Damn, no fair being out of touch when you cut em down, feel like I've been out of it for weeks.

That ISO hash I made was tooooooo much. All kidding aside, it really was to frigging potent, like super glue between cheeks and couch. Spin City. Tasted great though.

On the other hand, after the ISO MJ mix dried out (I only rinsed it once thru the coffee filter) I noticed a light blonde/brown residue, almost talcum powder like consistancy on the inside of the coffee filter, and on the glass after I poured the mix out. I scoped it out, the tiny particles were bits of brown hairs, and leaf particles covered trichs. I clasified the entire mix through a fine screen, resulting in a 2g pile of the light brown powder. I sprinkled some on a bud in my pipe and took a few tokes. Much better. Doesn't have the hash taste, but definate ass kicking shit. I'll keep it in a vile, adding the kief from the large bud jar to make some cannabutter later on.

Thought I'd pass this along in case you make some ISO.

Hope you had a great Christmas, by the looks of the cardboard boxes, Santa was very good to you! Was great having our son with us again, but his leave was a mixed bag. He couldn't get his DL without his original BC, then we got 8inchs of snow on Christmas Eve, and got stuck in a parking lot Christmas day trying to get to 'Avatar'. I was finally able to get free, but by that time we'd missed the start of the movie. That was 5 days ago, we still have snow, and it's snowing again. Winter sucks.

I finished the fishook carving Christmas Eve, just before wrapping it up for him to open it a few minutes later. How's that for cutting it close.

I wasn't able to get a photo of it with a bud before he left, but I was able to 'create' a reasonable facimile with a cured bud taken today.

Wanda II, and Wanda III are now under the canopy after hanging out in the spare bathroom for the past 12 days, freezing their asses off under a 13W light. Wanda II has been topped, and is under LST restraints, Wanda III is growning ala natural, and hasn't been topped. Both are quite small for being 12, and 6 weeks respectively. Kinda proving cold temps stunt growth. The bathroom averaged 50 degrees......why it's a spare bathroom.

I'm going to have to decide which one I'm going to grow.

OK I got the ole Vaporite out just now to check and the settings go to 295C
or 563F in your silly language. I am gonna have to try it 485F or 251.666666C
and see what happens.:peace:

I know it's a shame with all the reports we get. That one really upset me since I just bought mine.:smokin2:
Guess I should look at the good side, when I vape I'm still able get things done and still feel buzzed.. If I really want to get blasted I can smoke what's left in the vape.

No wonder when you cook with it, you get really good results..:cheertwo:

You are going to do great on weight whether there's a lot of shrinkage or not. Pleasant surprise in store for you I think. The main thing is you finished with a good crop and you are happy with the result. You can worry about increasing yield next grow. Just imagine where they would be if they hadn't had that time indooors to stunt them. Gonna be sweet. Great job OMM and Joanne is still geting fatter. It's all good.:nicethread:

Hi Mmmmick I came to the same conclusion you did after I thought about when I was relaxed. The vape still serves it's purpose when I just want a buzz, but not couchlock. I'm going to check on Rosemary (they are together now) to see if she is ready to be put in jars for the long cure. If she is, I will post the dry weight - smoke report later tonight.
I am and will be happy with the results whatever it is.
Joanne is still putting it on and now I have the experience to kind of judge her yield.:grinjoint:
The next grow all out doors will be fun to do.

Nice to see some old bamboo, had my ones from the 70's still wrapped in the same Bees Wax (local) and I still have the 2# chunk of it. Glass is clean and non ferrous. But Bamboo been here thousand years brah> da kine> anyway, the flowers are looking sweeter all the time. Job well done!!

I like use my fave, Volcano Digital Vape start out at 355 degrees, mellow kine then pack one choke punch at 379-395 no more.

Yea I'm not too worried about total weight. I know I have enough to last a while now. Relief !;)

Aloha Cherma good to see ya Brah. I seem to break all glass pipes, bongs an what have you..Just never seem to work out for me. Clumsy. I have super glue but never fix em up. Sealed in the orginal Bees Wax. wow:grinjoint:
That Volcano is da kine. I love that old bamboo pipe and I think of the good dude that gave it too me. I always try my best to help people in need, just part of life. Thanks for the fishook compliment, truely was a labor of love. Red Heart, although beautiful wood, burns easily, so the initial shaping with my dremel was very tedious to keep it from scorching.

But seeing his expression when he opened it made it all worthwhile.

I thought about you the other day while I was watching Chuck Todd reporting from a location above Wikikii Beach. Something basically wrong with freezing my ass off watching people lounging on the beach. No sensitivity at all.

Glad to be back ol buddy, what say we do this grow thing again:cheesygrinsmiley:

Man I can't even imagine using a Dremel for that. You must have some steady hands. Get a Dremel in my hands, you best run for cover. :hmmmm:

Awesome old pipe OMM. I've got a deer antler I found while wandering in the woods smoking a fattie and have been eyeballing it for a pipe. I'm feeling inspired now. I've got all the tools and was thinking doing a 420magazine logo on it with the dremel.

I'm going to have to get off this site to get anything done tho. lol

You must be getting impatient after 94 days now. I'd nominate you for a sainthood or at least a knighthood. :0)

Butcher Man I was just lucky, when I was finished with Vietnam, sent me to Thailand.:cheertwo: What a difference that was!:grinjoint: I was really lucky when I was in the service. They gave me a purple heart for a minor scratch from shrapnel. It was really not deserved.:smokin2:
