Good morning OMM Top of the day to ya

Morning beemerbill. It's all relative Buddy, it's 4:20 PM here exactly! Looks like these girls want water everyday now, lost the Pakistan Valley last night. Dry as a bone.
I set up my watering now so it's much easier. Shouldn't happen again.

Top of the day to you too beemerbil.

The Story Continues.........................................The Hospital Part 1.

There were 14 of us that had the same operation on the same day. 13 of us lived. We had one casualty. The next morning they gave me some kind of really good pain killer and got me on my feet and walked me around the ward. I saw others doing the same thing, but not as many as I expected. I think it was the 5th day they let me sit in the lounge.

In the lounge I met more people that had the same surgery as I did. As we talked, it because very clear to us that this was a teaching/learning/experimental hospital. They were treating us all differently. One guy they told to bathe everyday, he lasted 3 months. He wouldn't heal. 2 out of 14 dead. Next was a really belligerent Major that said he would rather treat himself at home. He died too. Then there was a tough old 1st Sergeant that went back to his unit. Bad choice he lasted 4 days and had a heart attack. I just kind of kept my head down and did what I was told. 10 of us were still alive.

They moved me to a new wing and told me there was a meeting in 5 minutes. I took my seat near the back of the gathering. All they were talking about was HID or Aids? I asked why they were only talking about AID s. The speaker looked at me and asked "You do have AIDs don't you?" No! "You are in the wrong place!"

I high tailed it out of there in no time. We knew nothing about HID at that time.

Of course I fell in love in the hospital. Her name was Margie; she was in her mid sixties and was there with her husband. They were from England. When WWII broke out, he came to the US and joined our Air Force.. He was there for a 2 year check up. Time in the hospital was slow to pass. Margie was always hugging me and giving me pep talks. She was great. I looked forward to seeing her every morning.
They left before I did, but we wrote to each other for years. Her hubby past and a few years later she stopped writing. I sure loved that woman.
Jo was there with me allot at first. It was a long drive from Neptune to Silver Springs, MD., where the hospital actually was. After a couple of months, they let me take a bus back home. That didn't work out too well for me. I kept having smelly accidents on the way. I was slowly getting better. The first time I came home and Jo saw me as we were getting ready for bed. With out thinking she said "That's disgusting!".
Ah! life is so kind.
To be continued.....................................................The Long Wait.

Well you know we will come here!! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Sorry Everyone, But the Time has come for me to slow down. I can't continue to visit everyone everyday any more. I'll still visit when I can, however the shape I'm in and my breathing is taking allot out of me daily. The time it takes me just to stay on top of my grow is about all I can keep up with now. Today is an example. It took me all day to water my plants.
Please continue to visit me so we can still be in touch. I can't begin to tell you how much each of you mean to me,
I love you all. OMM

Take it easy my friend. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I hope you're around for many more years. Mostly for Jo's sake, but I'll be a little selfish and hope for it for :420: 's sake as well.

Funny that you mentioned tinctures. THsea and I are going to try to make some with my Butter Machine. He made one that worked really well last year. I've been eating some butter he made last week and it really helps my breathing. It seems to relax my lungs. I have a few more days left of it. Thank You beemerbill. That is definitely where I will look for helping me with my breathing. Our favorite weed has many medical uses as you have just proved.
Thank your wife for me.

I unsuccessfully just tried to find the article I read about Cannabis and Asthma (something I live with). My take away from the study was that it helped open up the airways for the medium/long term, but that it could have a short term negative affect. In other words, smoking cannabis will make your breathing worse due to smoking, but the meds that get into your system will have a beneficial affect on Asthma. I would assume a similar effect with other pulmonary problems. This interpretation of the article reflects my own experience. My lungs will often feel "tight" right after smoking. Joints are especially bad due, I think, to the paper. After 5-10 minutes however, my lungs feel better than before I smoked.

I think you're wise to find other ways of medicating. I want to try a vaporizer, but the funds just aren't there right now. My wife is now a believer in the healing power of Cannabis, but she will not smoke. She has tried my edibles, but I tend to make them very strong. :blalol: We're going to try making some tinctures and oils (RSO type rather than cooking type).

Just last Friday, I finally got my medical recommendation (on a side note, according to the state of WA, I am now legal to grow an UNLIMITED # of plants!! :yikes: :yahoo:  ). While I was talking to the Dr, my wife asked some questions too. It turns out, there are a few things the Dr thought cannabis might help my wife. She, the Dr, wasn't recommending cannabis for everything though! She had lot's of other recommendations for me and my wife. After the visit, we've both actually decided to use her as our primary healthcare provider even though she is 6.5 hours away!

Anyway, sorry about all that detail... :blalol:

I wanted to say I'm also starting to experiment with the oil tinctures, so I like reading about your experiences with them. I'm also intrigued by the success McLoadie has been having!

Speaking of pictures. I ordered a used Nikon D5000, like our friend Buckshot uses. Without doubt it is a Professional Camera. It has everything you could ever want in a camera. I figure in a couple of years I will know how to use it.:high-five:

Grats on the new camera! My advice is to learn one new thing about the camera each time you use it. Sometimes, that can even be something you already 'learned' previously. Actually, that happens a LOT with me!

Trying to learn everything the camera can do in one day is futile. I consider myself more savvy than average in this regard, and I sure can't do that. There are a few photography concepts (ie aperture, ISO, white balance, etc) that I like to know how to control, so I'll look all those up the first day, but after that, I learn things as I need them, such as the first time I want to be in a group shot and have to lookup how to do a shutter delay.

I'm a little envious. I lost 2 cameras recently, so all I have is my phone and an 9 year old P&S. :blalol:

so
hello

High there Hiker! :thumb:

I am with you on finding new ways to consume our meds. I have vaped for a while now and it is a better method of in take than other ways of smoking. Much easier on the lungs.
I sent you a PM.
