I know you were asking Groover, but I figured I'd chime in since I've used PBP nutes and additives in Soil, Pro-Mix, and Clay.
You're pretty on-track with the pH. My experience was a pH of about 6.2 is optimal in soil. With a drift of about +- 5.9-6.5
You've got the right idea with the nutes as far as the levels go. I have found these nutes to be very forgiving. And you will want the additives. Cal/Mag and Liquid Karma. The LK is not cheap, but you can go a little light on it and its not too terrible. And it greatly improves the uptake of the other nutrients. Basically for a normal feeding, I use a general ratio of 3 : 2 : 2 of PBP Grow/Bloom : LK : Cal/Mag+.
The gotcha for me would be the rain outside. Not sure how it would affect measurements. I think I would just use that ratio. Let the plants take what they want. If you see they need more nutes it would either be because the rain is flushing the pots, then I would add smaller ppm more often. Or if its not raining and they still show any defficiancies then just raise the levels.
Last thought - these are nicely balanced nutes. I for one would not be afraid to push them till you see a little burn. Then back off. I feel like the nutes are balanced enough that even at extreme levels they don't tend to lock out.
Edit: Re the Silica - that's for cell strength and gives them extra health in harsh environments - I would definitely be using that at full label strength given your weather. And as far as adding the other FF nutes - I would not do them in the same feeding. Each line is balanced.
Hi PaPa Are you kidding Buddy? I always have an ear for what you have to say.
I have read allot of good things about these nutes and you just confirmed it.
Even better than I thought. It's nice to know they are forgiving too.
The Liquid Karma I will have to pick up. I will go full strength on the Silica Blast.
Truthfully the girls all look great. I can't believe their growth. It makes me smile all the time. It just seems to me that are using up all the nutes that are in the soil. That's why I want to feed them, even though they seem fine.
I feel much better because you, groover, and everyone else is here to help me. Thanks.
Oh! I threw the FF nutes away they were old and dank.
