a dog is a good idea, you could do big m mean or a few small yippers that serve as a major alarm system and its unlikely rippers will have enough steaks or bullets to shut them all up!! just saying! lol omm im having a blast with my new grow the hempys ^ coco r blowing my mind with how fast the girls are growing,,i wish i could grow outside,my climate gets to cold b4 the ladies are ready at least some years,some would be fine but theres no way of knowing which it will be

You have a very beautiful grow area!! The Hawaii Sun has got to be better than any grow light!! It is too bad you have to worry about thieves..........
Why don't you get a good loud mean dog that does not like to dig?

A dog would be nice, but who would take care of it? Not me and not Jo. We are really hindered by what we can do. In all truth, if it were not for THsea I wouldn't have a grow at all. 90 % of what you see is done by THsea. There is no way I can lift one of those airpots. We are surrounded by dogs already on two sides. Make a move and they bark.

Having said all that...the last dog we had...was our buddy and his loss didn't help us a bit. We still miss him. He was part Pit Bull and Husky. He had a bad time in the Hawaiian heat. Loved him...he loved M & Ms.

If you cannot have a dog. At least you can have automatic light sensors and silent or audible alarms of mean dogs!! I am not sure what your stance is on weapons. I would be very happy to use one if someone invaded my property.

He and I work as a good team. We both pack the airpots and care for the plants. I do the topping and sprouting, and we both do the training. Soon as the girls get over the shock of replanting we will both be doing allot of LST and training. Since we are outside, we are going to to do all we can for a good yield.

As far as security ....... we have decided that we aren't going to talk about what we have done or will do for security, someone may live in Hawaii and could be reading 420. My last outdoor has made me very careful.

The Story Continues ......................................................................Planning

It's amazing how fast time goes by when you don't want it to, It seemed like everything
was speeding up. Tony was running around checking that everything that her mother might need was taken care off. Actually, most of it was already done, they always kept things up to date.

Tony wanted me to go to the Italian Riviera with her, but I told her I had already been to the French Riviera with RS. That she did not like.....a big frown and a huff! Oh! Well!

Speaking of RS, I received two letters from her. I didn't even open them. I threw them in the trash. She was probably wondering when I would be leaving and where I was being assigned. Let her find out for her self.....she made her choice long ago. Let her live with it. I still had the rage inside me, about what she had done to me. Just the thought of her pissed me off.

Tony was trying to decide what clothes to take to Monterey. I told her what temps to expect in Monterey and that it was mostly casual clothes and that if we went to San Francisco we would wear we would wear our fashion type clothes. She looked confused by that and I explained we Americans like casual clothes more than anything.
Hastily I added we would wear our good clothes in Monterey too.

Actually, I started to worry about what Tony would actually think of the US. This might be trouble ahead.

We went out allot those final days in Italy. We danced at the NCO club a few more times,
She loved it and I mostly just watched. Hell, watching her was great. We went to Venice a few more times too. We also went to the club in the hills and I got better at the tango and started learning how to waltz . It was very much fun for both of us.

She was happy and so was I.

So much has happened lately! Like you said, it's never a dull moment - there is always something. Ain't that true! Tis for me, too sometimes...

First, those plants look great, and they sure seem happy outside! It makes my heart happy to see your plants outside again, but please be careful. I hope though, that growing outdoors works for you again. Good idea keeping the info off of the forums as far as security - you never know, and it's better safe than sorry.

How cool that you got to meet Munki and his wife - he grows some beautiful plants, and I've learned a lot from his grows. Sounds like he and his wife are nice people, too. I'll bet that was fun!

That electric bill is... how shall I say.... HORSESH*T! Argh. I'm really sorry to hear about that. That seems ridiculous. Knowing that, if you were to go indoors again... maybe worth it to consider selling the HID lamps and investing in some good LED's when you can. Just a thought IF you ever need to go in...

The story is of course still keeping me riveted!

OH! and I'm getting so excited about having some Lucy soon - just a few more weeks or so!

Your plants look great and if I had an electric bill like yours, I'd probably be outside, too.

Without giving away all your security secrets, I just wanted to say that I thought the tripwires that triggered the flame throwers, and the sensors with the poison darts, were very cool!

But, I thought the six lions roaming the grounds and the pit of venomous snakes was overdoing it, just a little. After all, what are you going to feed all the lions? I mean, if no one tries to steal the plants again?
