OldMedMan Goes Indoors Part 2

Missing from the photos: the guest hammock. A steady flow of visitors to Paradise sleep with a shotgun, outside. Anybody don't want to get with the program? They can feed the big cats!

How many grams per watt are you shooting for with that big plasma light?
:cheer::cheer: :peace: :cheer:

Aloha OMM!

So much has happened lately! Like you said, it's never a dull moment - there is always something. Ain't that true! Tis for me, too sometimes...

First, those plants look great, and they sure seem happy outside! It makes my heart happy to see your plants outside again, but please be careful. I hope though, that growing outdoors works for you again. Good idea keeping the info off of the forums as far as security - you never know, and it's better safe than sorry.

How cool that you got to meet Munki and his wife - he grows some beautiful plants, and I've learned a lot from his grows. Sounds like he and his wife are nice people, too. I'll bet that was fun!

That electric bill is... how shall I say.... HORSESH*T! Argh. I'm really sorry to hear about that. That seems ridiculous. Knowing that, if you were to go indoors again... maybe worth it to consider selling the HID lamps and investing in some good LED's when you can. Just a thought IF you ever need to go in...

The story is of course still keeping me riveted! :bravo:

OH! and I'm getting so excited about having some Lucy soon - just a few more weeks or so! :yummy:

Aloha to you too xlr8 !:high-five:

Both of us seem to never have enough time Buddy. It's hard to get away from our own journals to go visit all our friends.

Yep, the light bill brew me out of the water......had to do something drastic.
I was so hoping to let the girls veg much longer in doors so they would really stretch in bloom. Maybe they will anyway. How about those 11 gallon airpots?
Now if no hurricanes drop by, I should have a grow to remember.

THsea and I really had a good time with Munki and his wife. She was just as knowledgeable as he was. They are the perfect doper team. Had to laugh at Munki......Wild Thai...did him in! :tokin:

THsea is already making noises about my lights:rofl:.

I'll keep LEDs in the back of my mind Buddy. Your going to love Lucy! :Namaste:

Hey, OMM! I didn't realize you got to meet Munki! Very cool! :thumb:

Your plants look great and if I had an electric bill like yours, I'd probably be outside, too.

Without giving away all your security secrets, I just wanted to say that I thought the tripwires that triggered the flame throwers, and the sensors with the poison darts, were very cool! :welldone:

But, I thought the six lions roaming the grounds and the pit of venomous snakes was overdoing it, just a little. After all, what are you going to feed all the lions? I mean, if no one tries to steal the plants again?

Hi Mr. Krip.

Munki and his wife were great. I knew he was coming...just didn't know when.
Was a breath of fresh air to talk to them. He is one funny guy. He never stops. Well, he did slow down when we sampled Wild Thai. He and his wife were made for each other.:clap:
Sure didn't match the picture I had in my mind for him. :high-five:

Unfortunately, Jo made an ass of herself before they left. She is just evil at times. We all just kinda of brushed her off. :hmmmm: Didn't let her ruin it for us.

I'm keeping the flame thrower and the darts! Your right, the Lions and Snakes had to go. My neighbor on the right moved his big dogs to his back yard today.....no one is coming in that way! :thumb: That leaves one place to get in and THsea and I are working on that. :whoa::whoa:

Hi Mr. Gator !

Cat food sounds good.......no evidence left at all. Nope never saw that missing person.

Tell you what...let me know how many watts the thing puts out and I'll come up with a guess. :thumb:

Hi Everyone !:circle-of-love:

I really hate to say this.....BUT........I have some personal things to take care of that I have been putting off for a long time. I am going to be MIA for a couple of days. I can't put them off any longer. I apologize to you all.....I'll be back as soon as I can. I promise. :Namaste:

Remember the first rule of growing....."Don't tell anyone".......OOPs, too late. Take care of yourself OMM.

I have been busy lately too!! Hope you catch up with everything. I am still on the edge of my computer seat about you ongoing story! :thumb:

Take care of what you need OMM, we will all be patiently awaiting your return. Who knows perhaps for once you will be pages behind for missing a few days:high-five:

Hi teiji2 . Well, things worked our better than I thought they would and I'm back already. Updated my will and a few other things, I had to do.

One of the main things I had to do was take my drivers test to meet the national standards of 70 year olds. Today way my birthday, so my old license was no longer good. I studied my butt off...I just had to pass because only my car is allowed on the Military Bases. Jo and I are divorced and she can't drive on base any longer. Hawaii prints a study book for licenses. 5 bucks for the damn thing. I memorized the whole damn thing. I also had to take the drivers test too. That is what I expected.........didn't actually turn out that way.

Here is what actually happened...........

I wont give the actual Hawaiian test site to protect the folks there. No Joke,
either that or Hawaii is just strange.

I got there and filled out the application. The lady called me over and took down all my info. Then she took me to the front of the counter and took 2 pictures of me and asked for $40.00. I gave it to her and she told me to wait.
In a few minutes she handed me my new license! It is good for 8 years. I took no test of any kind !!!!

Jo and I walked out.....it was hard for me not to do a few dance steps of celebration! I must live right! :high-five:

The Story Continues..................................................................Time to Go

Well, the day finally arrived and I had to leave. I went to the Base, they would get me to the right Airport and I was gone. I had stayed with Tony until the end. We made all the plans that we could, since there were many unknowns to deal with.

First, I did not know where in the US I was headed. We had talked and instead of flying commercially, I would take MAT flights to get to the west coast. MAT flights only cost $10 for each fight. Much cheaper than flying by commercial Airlines. By doing so I would save my travel money.

Once in California I would find and buy a cheap car to get around in. Then I would go to Napa and pick up my sons. After a long hard battle with my ex wife over custody, she now wanted to get rid of them. I was happy to get them....finally.

Then I would drive down to the Monterey area and find a cheapo house. A place to stay while were waiting on base housing. I had been gone for a long while and had no idea what things would cost on the mainland any more.

Tony would fly over soon as I found a place.

To be Continued......................................................................................

Happy Birthday, Brother - and MANY more!

And, congrat's on EASILY passing your test! All that studying must have paid off, since they didn't even have to test you to tell you passed! :)

If you had told me back when I had my first cancer that I would still be here at 70, I would not have believed you.:bravo:

Jo would tell you it's because I'm so mean! :thumb:

Three old men were talking with each other at the nursing home remembering what it was like being young.

The first man says, "What I really miss is being able to take a nice, long piss...I used to wake up every morning and piss like a racehorse, and now there's barely a dribble."

The second man says, "What I really miss is being able to take a nice, healthy bowel movement...I used to wake up every morning and take a good solid bowel movement, and now I'm never regular."

The third man says, "Well, I wake up every morning at 8:00am and take a nice long piss, and then at 8:30am, like clockwork, I make a strong healthy bowel movement. What I really miss is being able to get out of bed before 10:00am!"

Hi All ! A Picture Update of the Girls. Part 1. :dreamy::dreamy:

I will do this in three parts....I get all screwed up if I do more than this at one time. Dang old age.

What you will see is two pictures of each plant. The first pictures were taken yesterday, when THsea and myself did some training on the girls. The second picture of each was taken today to show how much a difference there is in just one day. Always trying to increase yield of each one. Here we go......
