OldMedMan Goes Indoors Part 2

Good Morning OMM,

health is something a lot os us take for granted, its when yourself or a loved one falls ill that it usually comes into the spot light, with that spot light we should look inward to better ourselves and care for our loved ones :Namaste:
I am sending you ALL the positive healing vibes I possibly can!

You really have traveled to some really special places that would we would LOVE to visit some day and you LIVE in paradise for lack of a better word. Yours is truly a special existance that we here at 420 are so very lucky that you have shared so much with us!
:thankyou::thankyou::thankyou::thankyou::thankyou:

:peace: and good health my friend

ps - story is just great as always!!

Morning MS !. That's right, I keep forgetting, you guys that joined 420 in the last couple of years,
don't know my medical history. For the last 33 years I have been in and out of the hospital at least 5 times. I beat colon cancer, bladder cancer, couldn't swallow for about 6 months, had an operation I didn't need. You get the idea.
Bring it on..lets do it again! I don't give in easily.
However...will take all the good vibes I can get. This might be the hardest yet.
I was ready to go when I had colon cancer...I was 42....and like you've said I've had the good fortune to have lived one really tippy life. These extra years have been just as good as the first part, but in a different way, I've made a difference other peoples lives. Got no complaints at all. I plan on being here a while longer if at all possible. :thanks:

I totally believe you know how to stay possitive!!! What a blow to hear from a doctor a life sentence and to defy it!!!! AWESOME!!

I have children that depend on me. I know you do to. Yes, time to quit! :cheertwo:

OK! Closet Farmer we're in this together....so let's do it! :high-five:

That sucks you had to beat all those cancers, but after reading your story so far I do not see how you could not beat it OMM. Glad your still here and spreading your wealth of knowledge to us younger generation:bravo:. I personally like to think I'm preventing bAd things every time I smoke or ingest some sweet sweet green Mary Jane. Look forward to years of grows from you OMM.:Namaste:

I remember going to pulic places and people would be smoking indoors. Even Chuck E. Cheese, where a kid can be a kid! LoL and I remember flying back and forth to Hawaii and people could smoke on the airplane of all places! Times have changed... even for my generation! Im here for support!

Me too!! I remember going to the grocery store as a kid and people would be smoking and walking up and down the isles with cigarettes hanging out of thier mouths!!

I just bought the patch today. That is how I quit last time. The patch does take away all cravings. However, it does make you have very vivid dreams. That is one of the side effects. Going to sleep is like taking an adventure!! Timothy Leary would have endorsed this!! :thumb:

OMM ..... Thanks for the info on the one survivor seed at harvest. Thanks SteveH too I was happy that people agree. It happened again last night BUT I got 5 seeds but it was from that finicky lil' bitch Tangerine Dream. (Explains It)
Gotta Do it Brother ..........I recently started to quit bacause I took a real honest look at how expensive it is but my health is more important. I hide mine from myself and it is amazing OMM, I have been limiting myself 5 smokes a day and I was breathing and sleeping better in one day. I'll do it with ya. We need you around Brother

Man... those were the days!!!!!! Things were so different back then. I remember liquor stores used to have drive throughs where you could order mixed drinks in go cups and of course cigarettes too while in your car, go and drive off!!! :partyboy:

guilty as charged
smoked at my desk in college
I smoked in the hospital when my kids were born
I smoked while I pumped my gas
We smoked while we stacked hay....IN the damned barn (that stopped long ago)
Tobacco free going on four years now. Just stopped one day.
I do not addict real well....your results may vary :)

ABC liquors had a drive up window and kiosk for mixed drinks to go, until 1988....carrying a gun was expected til 1989. You only needed a permit to conceal them. (Everywhere looked like Tombstone)
We had no speed limits on interstate highways in wilderness zones 'til 1974 when it became manditory 55 everywhere.... pure culture shock in Fla.
Stupid Disney...ruined everything

Get better my friend, you have too many chapters left to write before you even think about writing the final one.

There are only final chapters in books. We do not have them. Our journeys as human beings begin, but the end never appears. We live on through loved ones, Those weve affected in our life, strangers who have been affected somehow with any one of our actions, possibly as small as taking a bus instead of driving. Everybody has a long lasting effect on this world be it big or small, no matter their direct effect.

We all believe in what we believe. I believe in my one and only God while the next man may be athiest or buddhist, but religion and personal beliefs have nothing to do with the above. The final act in our play is unlimited.

But seriously, OMM, please do quit. Once you do, you will feel so alive. I know from experience. No matter how old or beat up you may be, two weeks after quitting you will feel like new again. And we all want you to stay with us here as ling as you can. :goodluck:

I need to quit smoking cigarettes too... I did it cold turkey before for over 3 years and I don't even remember why I started again... I have only been smoking Cannabis for about 4 years now. Doctor told me the vape is better too. Specially if we smoke cigarettes! I need to quit too man, I have to at least try, but I don't know if I myself am ready! *smh*

Love you dad, you are the same age as my real dad and he has so many other health problems. He doesn't smoke anymore, he quit over 25 years ago. He went from smoking 3 packs a day to NOTHING. He was hypnotized and it worked for him. My mom quit at the same time but it only lasted about 10 years. I remember going to pulic places and people would be smoking indoors. Even Chuck E. Cheese, where a kid can be a kid! LoL and I remember flying back and forth to Hawaii and people could smoke on the airplane of all places! Times have changed... even for my generation! Hi BAS!
:high-five:

Not feeling the best right now, so all I'm going to say is, please quit again for your own good and your girl.:peace:

What a beautiful post Magic Beans. :thankyou: We could be brothers. You think allot like me.
Thanks for writing it. After the day I've been though, I totally agree....I have to quit. :thanks:

Hello all my Friends!:thankyou:

Today was a strange day to say the least.

Truthfully for as long as I can remember I have smoked 3 to 4 packs of cigarettes a day. There is always one in my hand. THsea has seen me do it and has kind of been on my case for it. Bless him.

I got up this morning and didn't smoke anything......within a few hours I was back in bed. I got up and talked to Jo for a while. She said I should slowly tapper off these cigarettes. I had a real problem just listening to her. Bad to bed.

Twice this in the afternoon I tried to get on 420.....I couldn't remember how
to do it. Finally I did get on 420 and opened my journal and once again everything look alien. So off again and back to bed. I got up and talked to Jo again. Then I woke up again in bed and didn't remember going to bed.

I once was addicted to codeine. I was off it in 4 days......this my friends will be a battle! After the day I've had...I know for sure I have to quit smoking. Bare with me my friends.

I will quit! It may take awhile, but I will do it. I never thought nicotine could be this hard to quit. What an evil drug! It infects every part of our bodies.

It may be a while before I post any more of my story. I have to be sure my memories are back to normal. What a day! :smokin2:

Sounds like you are going through some serious nicotine withdrawl. I didn't realize you were smoking 3 to 4 packs a day! That is a lot of cigarrettes. Before picking up another cigarette, I would recomend nicotine gum or a patch. This is healthier and will take off the edge. I am starting my patich treatment today. :thumb:

Hang in there OMM, we are all pulling for you. It's good you have someone to talk to when the going gets tough.
