Whatever you're dealing with here isn't spider mites IMHO. So we've eliminated that. Where you cut it off the plant it appears to continue into the plant itself. Can you cut back further, in an attempt to isolate whatever's going on?

Look through these pictures. Especially the last two. There is more than one problem going on, a few posts back I saw the carcass of an aphid or thrip on the leaves, and the back of the leaf on this set of pics looks like spider mites to me. You will see the little white things on the leaves in the pics, exactly what I had last year on my outdoor grow. They were aphid carcasses. I got close ups and posted pics.
He's already done something for that, but this dying stems one has me a bit stumped. I don't think aphids or spider mites can do that, but I'm still checking.
Would you disagree?

Idk what that is but I found it on Ganny just now and I've seen another of these one time about two weeks ago on Kera and I just squished it and never thought about it again
