Came out very nice, tender, juicy.

Opened a nice Cabernet I've had in Ye Olde cellar for 7 years.
Made some Nigella seed rolls.

Looks pretty good. I have in the past deboned a Canada Goose in one piece (initial cut along the back bone and peal to the breast) and then rolled it up and tied it with sting to bake. I might have to give a Turkey a try though.....

Getting close, probably tomorrow for harvest.
I think I am about 15% amber hopefully 20% by tomorrow.

ahh been hearing about Doug’s Varin that’s the high THC-V strain IIRC

hmm Alpine Star sounds like a gem
Yep, supposed to be very high in THC-V

We'll see what they look like in about 5 months.
Will be about 10-14 days before I can get the soil/pots ready to plant again.

Finished harvesting the Queen.
Looks like i should end up with about 5 1/2 oz maybe 6oz.
Pretty piss poor yield but I knew it was going to be, when you don't LST or SCROG thats what you get.

Was easy harvest though, just snip about 12 leaves per bud and hang it up.

Here is a good talk by Jeremy at Buildasoil talking about the importance of larger pots and watering EVERY DAY, none of this letting your soil dry out, that just really messes up everything, concentrates nutrients, kills off root hairs and tips.
If you can't water everyday then on your next grow you need to change your soil because it's shit.
I am telling ya thats probably 90% of the problems I see people having is they're using too small a pot, and their soil is basically mud and thats just a recipe for disaster.

Use the largest pot you can, (if you're using soil) get your soil at the right tilth with enough life and aeration in it that you must water it everyday, if you need to water say a 20 gallon pot everyday that means that plant is drinking a lot of water and consuming nutrients properly and transpiring lots of water.
Notice in his 10x10 where he has i think four 5 gallon pots, four 30 gallon pots, one 3x3 bed and two 7 gallon Earth Boxes.
The best of the bunch is the 3x3, the second is the 30 gallon, 3rd is the earth boxes and last are the 5 gallon plastic..
thats not a coincidence, larger pots are just plain better and much easier..

I watch that channel too. Pretty interesting stuff.

Found a huge cache of Pearl Oyster mushrooms today while walking the dog.
A whole dead 100' foot log full of them top to bottom.
Took just enough for two good dinners.

Fettuccine Alfredo
With Oyster mushrooms, garlic , onion, olive muffuletta, butter, shrimp, dried basil, with a 4 year aged Stravecchio Parmigiano Reggiano shaved on top.
And served with a nice French Cabernet-Syrah and garlic bread.

I love finding good mushrooms, makes me feel like I got away with something.
