NorthernCosmos' First Indoor Soil Auto Grow: 2019

And here they are, 4 x Northern Lights Auto seeds. This is the classic strain that we sometimes were able to get hold of around here, but that used to be some bone dry leaves and stalks with seeds, not good quality - It'll be like having Northern Lights for the first time!

just so hard not to pre harvest them
Don't worry - I'll wait at least until they break the soil, and perhaps even a little longer... :p

That is, unless I wake up sweating and confused from another of those disturbing dreams, with the echoes of CraZy's mantra still in my mind: "Chop, chop! Chop, chop!". Then I'll be half consciously jumping out of bed, swinging the machete, and coat stands, floor lamps, high backed chairs, potted plants, they all get cut down to size. When I'm finally caught chopping down the shrubbery in my neighbor's garden, I'll plead the classical insanity defense "Reefer Madness".

Lol, you guys... :laughtwo:

I don't know how many sprouts you need to get high Cosmos. :p

Blame it on the CraaaaaaaaZy!

Crazy people always get away with doing weird things right? :cheesygrinsmiley:

Sorry I've been a little absence lately, struggling to get work and life to function again. Still getting there but don't know for how long, pain is increasing for each day now but I guess me having Ginza is another issue for getting more pain. But she also gives me so much quality in life.

Still no show for my new front door yet, want to get the grow up and running asap again before the heat start making things impossible here to grow.

It's day 48 for the now senior Augusta the Amnesia and Wilma the White Widow. It'll be exciting to see if they get any seeds after the nanner affair.

I finally got a new evaporative humidifier. It's not super efficient, but at least, by design, it'll never ever make things too humid. The tent is at 33% RH right now an hour after starting it.

Say hello to the four new Northern Lights:

I'm worried about #2 at front left (almost not visible in the picture); it's a third of the size of the others, and it's looking a bit sad... green and with a solid, but very short, stem and the tiniest leaves. I'll give it the weekend and see if it grows. If not, I'll just drop a new seed.

Good luck with that new evaporator humidifier, hope it works better for you than the other one.

You def got more stuff going on than me right now, I'm skeptic to my door getting changed this spring with the Corona outbreak going on now so I will have to put growing on hold for a while still.

I live in the countryside on your side of the border, so life is pretty much as it usually is. It's very peaceful around here now that the hordes of hoarding shoppers crossing the border has been stopped. I did some local grocery shopping here today and the few other people in the shops were calm and relaxed while maintaining a respectful distance.

I was briefly sick after last weeks crazy hoarder invasion. We were jam packed and trapped inside a super huge grocery store with a 2 hour queue for the registers - i.e. the shop had decided to host the maximally ultimate infection bonanza that was physically possible... Five days later I got the flu (could be anything, perhaps just a common flu), but I'm quite resistant so it was just the usual one or two days of very mild symptoms for me.

Sounds like Borderlands... ;)

Def, Borderlands... Hope you got your unlimited supply of toilet paper then, can't get my head around why people horde this? In my world you need to eat something to get something out in return...? :)

I was out in time and got me some cans just in case but I never let it go over my head. I think I'm able to keep indoor for maybe two weeks if needed and that what they recommended before this mass hysteria.

Had mine over Xmas remember? Great to be out of harms way for that flue now, if one gets that one next week I'm sure they will panic.

Got another snow storm today so I don't mind staying indoors a few days over the weekend. Guess the worst is to come next week.

Bordelands you say... (yes, I saw your Doom reference in Shed's thread):

Well, the level of CraZy was almost there :laughtwo:

With the border crossings reduced it's quite relaxed now though. I think I'll be buying single rolls of toilet paper just to make a point.

It's day 55 for the seniors and day 13 for the juniors. BTW, all my day counts are from the seeds went into the soil, so around 4 days less than that above the soil. The 4 Northern Lights are looking healthy - even the front left one which almost looked like it wasn't going to make it has come along nicely. Still getting 100% germination rate on these dirt cheap seeds after sowing 14 of them.

The White Widow is getting quite a bit of yellowing leaves. Careful study of the yeallowing pattern and the diasgnostic guides says "nitrogen deficiency". I have no idea how that came about or what to do except increasing the feed from 3/4 nutes strength(?) The Amnesia has some clawing leaves - again I have no idea why. However, I approach this with the best knowledge I've gotten from you guys: "don't worry too much" :D

The new humidifier currently adds around 10% RH to the ambient air, or at least that's the drop in the RH meter reading shortly after I open the tent. Usually I get between 35% and 40% in the tent. Not a whole lot, but much better than the days of 11% RH.

Looking great Cosmos, those NL's look very happy youngsters.

Could be it but it looks like she is really begging for it then and Amy looks like nothing happened. Try taking a close up on one of the leafs. No dead dotted pattern? I'm thinking cal/mag but that's just me, been haunted by it since I over powered my grow.

Always best. :)
