Noob's First Grow: Indoor, Coco, 4 Plants

Congrats on a successful harvest, looking forward to the smoke reports.

Thanks Penny! I am kind of happy to be putting away the sheers for a few months.

Also, I should have said thanks to you and so many other guys for all the help, suggestions, and moral support along the way - I learned lots from all of you, and had a lot of fun as well. Screwing around with some sad-looking autos for a bit, but then excited to get back to photoperiods for the chem grow!

Thanks! One more plant to do today, and then done with trimming for a while. Your plants are looking good too, Tomuk - was over at your journal last night.
Thanks mate, yours look great and congrats again mate

Wow! Yeah that last plant you harvested! Looked great! I just hope you don’t regret letting her go any longer to produce a bit more amber trichs. Either way you had a GREAT haul off of your plants! Great freaking job man!

I’m not sure exactly what seed bank my greencrack came from but a friend had a mother plant and gave me a clone of his gc so I’m just going off of what he said, I’ll see if I can find a photo of my gc

It was late winter when I grew that, and lived in a basement so my tent temps were running a lot cooler come the last stretch of flower, and I do believe that that’s what brought out the purple.

Nice haul again on today's harvest. That's right where I like my trichomes. Most meds per weight.
And yeh Penny it's that obvious. Chems and poofs.

Thanks Derby! Excited to try all three... maybe a gummy-festival on Labour Day weekend! Glad to have the trimming over with for a few months.

Nice looking, but also different looking from mine. The odds are good that yours was more "genuine" than mine in terms of genetics, but environment was also different. Mine were definitely hot during the end of flower. Pretty steady 80-84F during lights on, 75-80F during lights off. Of course who really knows... unless it comes from a super-reliable breeder, I suspect genes are a bit muddy anyhow.

Just happy to have them all down, and drying out. But thank you for the awesome feedback, and for stopping by again.

Hey everyone,

The harvest from the three photogirls is safely tucked away in the fridge. Each day I got in and rearrange all the buds so that they get some fresh air and don't develop any damp or moldy spots. So far so good. They are definitely drying/shrinking, but it has only been six days or so. I added some humidity meters to each tray, and will start watching for something around 60-65%, with 62% being the bullseye.

A bit of a side project update. A buddy swapped me a huge branch of Barney's Cookie Kush from his outdoor grow for a few nugs of my Purple Kush that I harvested back in June. I mentioned that I wanted to take another run at cloning, and he wanted to try my first harvest (he liked it!).

I got six nice cuttings from the huge branch he gave me, and they have been percolating away in the bubble-cloner I built using @Dutchman1990's design. They went into the cloner on July 22, so they have been there for almost two weeks now. Not much happened for a long time - they didn't wilt or anything, stayed standing straight up, but no roots. Then about five days ago, the leaves started to yellow. I understand that this is from the plant drawing nutrients from the leaves in order to make new roots. Two days ago I saw some little bud-like bumps on the stem in the tank.

Here they are today. Holy root-central! (sorry about the purple light)…

I am going to swap out the nute solution that is currently in the tank, and back off the rooting hormone a bit, and make it more of an early veg solution (very diluted). Will give the tank a scrub while I am at it. I am going to keep only the healthiest one or two of these clones, and tuck them away as bonsai moms for a while. I'll see if I can re-gift any others to happy homes.
