Nobody's COB Perpetual: Various Strains & Some Edible Fun At Times In A Tiny Tent

I love pistachios, and have a fondness for the peppered ones at trader joes. However have been laying low on the nuts lately.

Pizza again for dinner tonight since I made crust dough yesterday. Need to go get cheese so might get some more chocolate. A lot of the local groceries have been doing sales on the 'boutique' bars as I call them...the stuff that's stupid expensive 5-8 buck bars, they have been cutting them to around 2 bucks....guess their not selling at that high of a markup.

I need to find some with some ginger in it.

Heck, might even feature a chocolate review with my weekly photo.

Virgin-thanks for the compliment....I am trying.

I think I am going to 86 the BBa seed and drop another one this pm. I will look again then and make the call.

They should have chocoholics anonymous. That stuff is like a drug to me. I have some 85% that I snack on. I don't really drink anymore (whisky+me=bad decisions squared) but I smoke and do chocolate.

Your plants are quite lovely.;)
The chocolate thing is daily with Ms otter and myself. She did this to me and I'm glad. Thanks for the compliment. Even a blind mouse finds the cheese sometimes. Been having a blast learning. Having people not afraid to correct me is enlightening.

I'll be doing some infused dark chocolate bars with the popcorn from my next harvest! I'm so excited!:yahoo:

Chocolate after smoking? Or during? LoL

I'll throw together a tutorial over on the cooking thread.
Didn't you just recently make some plain bars... without the herb in them? :hmmmm:
I may pick your brain a bit when I make mine...

Tonight i've the local underground radio show that is doing a lot of early Dylan stuff. After that prob going to throw on The Replacements.

We are speaking about just eating chocolate after a smoke.

It was not me who made plain bars...maybe bear. I would love to see a tutorial on your cooking. I am going to try to get some into butter or oil this go around to cook with.

Peppered Pistashios!!! Where have I been. Next time I'm at Joes I'm in.
I've only seen them here and there, don't think it's a full-time thing. Thank god.

I did a bit of reading on AK, and people say photos are 51 days to 65 days. I've been thinking all along that this plant was moving fast because of the CO2, but, as shed and I guess'ed 65 days, my milage might be different.

I still see new pistols, the top buds have some serious foxtailing, these are thick heavy buds and several colas appear to be pretty stacked for about 8" or so.

I did add a little pro-tekt to the water today to bring up the K, but it was under 200ppm. Tomorrow a 4-500ppm feeding if we are dry yet (had 5L over 2 days).

Might start adding some backstrap at like 1.25ml per L like once a week, going to get a good look at the tricomes first tomorrow.

I'm using the blackstrap for the first time with these two. I really like using something that a chemical co isn't sashing in on. You go man!

Evening photos/evening bowl, passed on replacements for some Chronic Youth, LP2 of Sonic Nurse.

First off, a bud pic of the AK as we get onto day 43 of bloom tomorrow, I love how these are shaping up. Had the reds going hence the tent.

Went to my stash and whipped out this Theo 70% Bar with 'freaking' (mind you) ginger. I love ginger. We will leave it at that. Candied ginger with dark chocolate....fucking incredible.

Well, the ginger is easy to get in the bar, it's very fine and is toasted (like me). The ginger gets a 4/10 for me....subjectively being the ginger whore I am (ask the gal I dated in high school), I want chunks. This is tame ginger.

The Chocolate is hollow to me 5/10. It's great up front, falls off quick and has no finish for a 70% bar. Maybe the ginger does this....Hershey's Special Dark is better IMO.

This bar is def a "buy on sale" if I were to go again for it.

I am just getting into your thread, it's quite a sick grow you have going up there. Maybe one day down here for us....I would love a pair of those in the backyard.

What is your per gallon dilution?

Awww...I was all excited over the replacements. I love Westerberg. I was watching the movie Open Season with my kids last night, he does the soundtrack.

Never tried ginger and chocolate, will have to try to find some. Ginger is one of those plants you can grow from a small piece of root from the grocery. I have wanted to try this for awhile now. They are kinda pretty plants. I wonder how hard it is to candy ginger?

No clue, never tried. I do alot in the kitchen, so it's not past me, I just always buy it cheap in the bulk bins. I also chew on it raw. Weird I know. Supposed digestive aid.

I MUST see that movie, is it on amazon? (looking).

I put on some Durutti Column, it's one of my night night go to's

I do lots of Asian cooking, love ginger. I buy the Japanese ginger candies too.
I think ginger is an anti-bacterial as well as an anti-parasitic and anti-inflammatory if I remember correctly.

" Fed with10ml biothrive bloom/gal, 2ml camag/gal, 3ml fish shit/gal, 1tbsp/gal molasses,6 gal water" is what I've been giving them since flower every 3 or 4 days unless it's stupid hot. I used happy frog jump start top dressed for veg. for the most part. Funny I have the same nervousness I had with my first tent grow. Weed grows way different when you just let it go.Thanks for the good words.

HSO 707 Headband (Pf) - late September

Not much going on today, the veg plants are still damp from the previous waterings. I assume the ak is as well.

I am going to pull the white widow out of the tent sometime today and look at/adjust it's leafiness. The strain notes on this plant say 8 weeks, we will see. The youngest of the clones looks a little on the wilted side, it is the one with the most foilage.

This weekend I may attempt a clone of the Raspberry Diesel and the Green Crack. I have to go out of town for 4 days on the 21st, so that gives me 14 days to get them in soil. I really don't know how I am going to manage with the wife and I out of town. The AK could be hanging, or close to by then. I assume I could flood the plants before my evening flight and the veggers/bloomers would be fine for four days with lights on lower. I doubt the AK drying out a bit before harvest would be a bad thing. Otherwise I politely ask my parents to water the weed plants their grown son is growing in his closet. Decisions.

Also going to loupe the AK and see where we are. If the AK needs water I am going to hit it with a 4-500ppm buddha bloom solution with pro-tekt....basically would be .5-4-4.

The BBa is in soil as of last night, it's a 1 gal, with about 5" of my amended soil and some fox farms light warrior on top, seed had lost it's shell and the 3mm taproot already had two small pale leaves. I put it in mykos covered hole and barely covered it w seed starter and have kept it moist and covered. We will see. You can see it below the shadow on the left upper side of the photo.

Ginger n chocolate is real good in my mouth. I pondered lightly both growing and candying it too. I read how long ago. Pretty sure you just make a sugar water slurry and boil the devil out of it

Veg pair - 1L/400ppm/6.5; 1.25ml seaplex, 1ml karma, 1ml Ca/Mg, drops of Buddha Grow to 400ppm. Raised light 3".

Clones - misting with 6.5; the youngest looks like a limp goner, the oldest is still pretty erect.

Flower - 1.5L/350ppm/6.5; 1.5 seaplex, 1.5ml karma, 8ml Big Bloom, 4 small drops of molasses (un-sulphered blackstrap < .5ml), shared on all plants. Running red osrams for about 4 hrs day total at dawn dusk. looked at tricomes on the ak, their clear, with some starting to get a small % of opaqueness to them. still getting new pistols and weight on the buds, so should see the glass change over to plastic in a couple weeks....could this plant be moving that fast?

I ordered a hanging net dryer to hang in the flower tent above the light to use as a drying rack for the first few days. I've tried paper bags and parchment paper. I tend to feel I get a paper smell on the buds, but I am picky, since my tent is 50+ rh and about 81 with the vent, 2-3 days in there should work to dry and then into jars for a longer cure.

BBa-I see it, but am not calling it 'up' yet. it's grown maybe a half mil in a day.

I am thinking of getting some of the good trim and bud and trying to make a cob already rolled in a hemp blunt....any thoughts on this....?

I'm watching the cob action myself. Up to last week cob was something I grew weed with and ate in the summer with corn wrapped around it.
